Theo was enjoying the fine day that he was having here in the Exile Castle. They had decided to form it into a school for mutants like the one that was over in America after the sisters had joined up with the Xmen. His father had told him about them some, seeing as he had meet some of their members before in the past, and he was glad they had done this. He was tired of having to hide his powers and others hiding their powers in his old school. He didn't like how people had to hide their mutations and not show the beauty of it, even if they had to hide deformities. He tried to see beauty in everything though, but that had a lot to do with his artistic soul.
Theo just walked through the gardens of the grounds, playing a wooden flute he had made as he did. He enjoyed playing music outside on the little flute he had crafted while the sun was shining and the flowers and plants were in bloom. He must have looked like someone without a care in the world to anyone who saw him, even though he was thinking about something as he walked and played. He had a habit of doing something artistic when his mind was on something. He was thinking about how well things were going to work out for the school here in it's first year. He was sure there would be a flood of mutants from all over Europe joining to get away from having to hide in fear, which was a good thing. He was more concerned with the ones who would end up causing problems though and try to stir up anti-human sentiment amongst the gathered mutants. Nothing like this had been done before in Europe, so there was going to be many problems. He knew it would all work out in the end, but he just hoped that nothing horrible happened like the castle being set on fire or an outbreak of school wide fighting.
Theo continued to play his flute as he walked amongst the garden and didn't seem like he was worried about anything. He never did show his worries or doubts to people though. He started thinking on this and his mind wondered from the potential problems that might happen to what it would be like if someone could sense his fears and doubts. The song he was playing changed as his thoughts did.

A school for mutants. What a strange, but long anticipated idea. There was another, as far as Astra(Or Pandora as she went by now), knew. They’d tried to convince her parents to send her to it last year, but… Her parents didn’t want to lose her to the Americans. So, they’d declined. Now that there was one at least in Europe, her parents had reconsidered.
France was quite the place, especially this castle. It was fifty miles from Paris, way out in the country. It was…. Nice and quiet. A little to quiet. France was such a neutral country. She would have thought at least here, at the home to The Elensar sisters, things would be a little lively… But with both at the sister school at the moment…. Well, things were a little too dull for her taste. The music in the background just added to th-
Music?
Pandora was laying on her back on a bench, her head lifting as she looked for the source. She hadn’t met any other students since coming to the school, so either it was a student… Or one of the elusive Exiles. Okay… Suddenly, this was cheesy. Beautiful garden, soft music in the background. Now, Pandora wasn’t superstitious, but she was still Greek. She knew all the stories. And in a place like this? Well, it seemed like perfect hunting grounds for Gods. Of course, she didn't actually 'believe' in the Greek Gods, but the stories had to come from somewhere. Her theory was they hadn't been Gods, they were mutants. It made sense, once you thought about it. Mutants had been called many things. Why not Gods?
Pandora had planned on just laying there on the bench, on ignoring the music. But... After several moments.... she twitched. Seriously?! She was choosing to lay on a bench rather then go find something a little more interesting to do?! Grumbling, she rolled to her feet, picking up her backpack and swinging it onto her shoulder. With out any hesitation she started to search for the source of the source of the music. When she found it, she paused for a moment. A guy, probably her age and her height (That didn't happen often, most guys were shorter than her 6'1 height.).
A moment passed as she put on a smile, and spoke. "Yia sou."

Theo was busy playing the flute as his thoughts drifted from wondering what it would be like if someone could sense fears and doubts to the beauty of the garden. There were statues cut from some of the highest quality marble, plants of all colors perfectly placed all around, and the artistic coordination of where the statues where placed and the plants where was all just perfect. He continued to play his flute as he took in all the beauty around him. He even noticed one of his father's statues was in the place, although it was in a more out of the way spot, but it made him kind of proud that his father had one of his works in amongst all the beauty of the place. He didn't know when his father had ever sold or made a statue for the Exile's though before he saw the statue.
Theo was distracted with all the beauty of the garden and didn't notice when someone had walked up on him. He didn't realize he wasn't alone until he heard a voice behind him. He stopped playing his flute and turned to see who had spoken to him. It was a girl around his age and surprisingly was the same height as him. He didn't understand what she had said, but he could tell that it must have been a greeting. He gave her a friendly smile.
" Hello there!" Theo said to her in english out of habit. " I am Theo Eishaus, who might you be?"
Theo noticed the girl's eye were yellow, which he kind of liked for some reason. She was tall, even if you went by male height, but it only meant she would have some beautiful, long legs to Theo. She was thin and had some curve to her as well. All in all, she looked like someone that could easily be a model if she wanted to. He just stood there and took in how she looked while he waited for her to reply. He was starting to want to paint her a picture due to the combination of her eyes and her natural beauty. He wasn't about to ask though, since he got impulses to do things all the time even if this one was fairly stronger then normal.

This guy…. Was totally out of it. He hadn’t even heard or seen her coming, and she hadn’t made any efforts to hide her presence. When he finally did notice her, he fixed her with a weird look. Sure, he was pleasant. But he was giving her that look men were infamous for, eyeing a girl up and down. Instantly it unnerved her, but she stood her ground, slowly blinking those slightly luminescent cat eyes of hers.
English, huh? Well, this was bad. She didn’t speak it fluently. Or, not as fluently as she should. She’d only studied the language in school for three years. Maybe she should have paid attention and studied a little more when she took it… ”’Allo.” She flashed a grin as she paused for a moment. Theo Eishaus? Weird name. She couldn’t place his accent, but that wasn’t a surprise. She’d rarely encountered Germans, so the accent wasn’t something she was familiar with. ”I go by Pandora.” Her accent was thick, but her words precise. Greek wasn’t that bad, sure there were a few English sounds they had trouble with, but they were easy to understand when they didn’t have to use said sounds. When they did…. Well, it was unlikely you’d figure out what they were trying to say.

Theo could tell right away that the girl wasn't use to speaking English, although she did seem to understand what he had said to her. His accent would be hard to place for anyone though since he often swung between German and Icelandic accents frequently and randomly as he spoke in English. She had replied to him in English though, so that made him a little happy. He kept smiling at her and was completely focused on her face now that he had finished looking her over, a bad habit of his thanks to his sculpting father. He just loved the color of her eyes, even though they should have freaked him out or at least unnerved him.
" Lovely name Pandora. I love your eyes." Theo said to her in a way that it was slow enough for her to understand what he was saying, but fast enough that it wouldn't make her think he thought she was an idiot. " Are you a student as well? Are you going to be coming to this school?"
Theo hoped she was a student like him. He hadn't meet any of the other students who had come flocking to the castle, but considering he had spent the past few days camped out and wondering around the woods around the castle it wasn't that surprising. He still had the urge to paint her and it hadn't gotten any better, considering that he now also wanted to try and sculpt her now as well. He really needed to do something about his bad habit of wanting to paint or sculpt things right away.

That look over was still annoying, but, for once, she kept quiet. In any other case, she’d chew a guy out for doing something like that. It didn’t help that once he’d finished ‘examining’ her as a whole, he was a little too focused on her face. The strange part though? He wasn’t withdrawing like most people did when they had her unnerving gaze on them. He almost seemed…. Infatuated with it. Creepy.
She blinked once more, still slowly. Oh, she knew he was slowing his speech down, not enough to make her feel stupid, but it irritated her that people had to speak a little slower for her to understand. She hated how she couldn’t ‘think’ in English. It was a long process, hear it, translate it to Greek in her head, come up with a response, translate it to English, and finally say it. That’s why, she didn’t use English unless she had to. ”Efkharistó.” She paused, her expression suddenly irritated when she realized that she’d missed a step, mainly the last one, translating and saying her response in English. ”Thank you.”
And he was off again, onto a new subject. She sighed slightly, English was such an annoying language. Oh well, she’d get better. Like before, there was a small pause as she thought, translating and retranslating just so he’d understand her.”If I weren’t a student, I would not be ‘ere.”
Her stereotypical Greek strong headedness was starting to show through, even when she wasn’t speaking a language she spoke fluently. She couldn’t help it. It was her nature, after all!

Theo waited for her to reply and gave her all the time she needed patiently. She seemed somewhat short with him when she replied to him about being a student. Sure she thought it was obvious she was, but for all the both of them knew, either one of the two of them could have been a full fledged member of the Exiles already. He wasn't going to mention that fact, since she might not have truly known much about them. He had a slight advantage of his father knowing about both the Exiles and the Xmen, and he forgot that from time to time. He just kept smiling at her.
" Well that is good, but what made you wish to join the school?" Theo asked her. " Any special reason or was it just that it is the first all mutant school in Europe? I came because it is the first all mutant school in Europe."
Theo always wondered why one didn't exist in Europe already. It just seemed like something that should have been done or tried here now seeing the long history that Europe has had. He waited for her to respond, and figured he would get a reply similar to 'none of your business' after how she replied to being a student, but she might surprise him for all he knew.

Pandora wasn't being short. She was always like this. Strong headed. Strong willed. Sarcastic. Sure, she turned a lot of people off with her attitude, but she honestly didn't care. Still. She was a teenager, he had no reason to think she was an Exile.
"....." She stuffed her hands in her pockets as she translated what he'd said into Greek. When she realized what he said, she made a face. Really? He was asking a mutant why they went to a mutant school? That seemed rather... redundant. "Ask a mutant why tzey go to a mutant school...." What sort of question was that, anyway? It was idiotic. "Tzat is a stupid quezion." Blunt was another word that fit her personality. But considering all the other traits she'd shown, it wouldn't be that surprising.
As for there being no school previously in Europe... She didn't think much of it. People had probably tried to build schools before now, but, like this place, if you didn't have the right connections you didn't know about it. For all they knew, there could be another school. It just didn't have ties to the X-men, who actively looked for more students.

Theo laughed lightly to what she had to say. It was kind of a stupid question, but they needed to be asked some times. He looked at her and wondered where her accent came from. He could have sworn he had heard it before, either from one of his father's clients or friends. He was going to figure it out, and he started to think. He had heard a few accents thanks to his father's work and past. He tried to place it. He knew it had to come from the south, which really only narrowed it down to three places, Greece, Italy, or Spain. He knew it wasn't the last two since those accents were well known so it had to the last one, which was also somewhat well known itself. He looked her over again quickly after he thought of her being Greek and something didn't fit. She did have many of the Greek body features, but there was some other ones in there he didn't know. He figured he might as well try asking her since he wasn't about to figure it out.
" Your a mix between Greek and something else right?" Theo asked her in a friendly tone. " I can't figure out what else you are other then Greek, which I love your accent by the way."
Theo did enjoy the way the Greeks sounded, and the girl's voice was already fair. She could be an actress if she wanted to be, either TV or Theatre. His desire to paint or sculpt her was just getting worse and he wondered how long he would last until he just ended up either asking her if he could or just going ahead and doing it. He didn't like painting or sculpting people though without asking first, or on a sudden impulse for that matter.

Pandora couldn’t figure out how he could tell she wasn’t ‘full’ Greek. The racial differences between her mother and father weren’t even noticeable, considering Albania and Greece were neighbors. Not even Greeks would tell the difference….. Not to mention, there were few questions you could ask a Greek that were more insulting. Most Greeks refused to even humor the idea of marrying a non-Greek, it was scandalous.
She gave him a look that was almost dangerous, daring him to ask it again. He’d see something out of the corner of his eye, but if he looked… It’d be gone.”One tzing you should know aboot Greeks. You do not ask tzat.” She paused for a moment, still irritated that he’d asked. Sure, she wasn’t all Greek, her mother was Albanian after all! But, she’d been taught her whole life that you didn’t tell people that.
Pandora sighed, running her hand through her hair. ”I do not mean to be rude. Tze question is…. Insulting. You are Greek, or not Greek. Tzere is no…” She paused for a moment, before muttering to herself in Greek, trying to think of the English word. ”I think…. No in between?”

Theo heard what Astra said and didn't realize he shouldn't have asked that until she got mad at him. He didn't know much about the Greeks view towards that kind of thing, but he wished he hadn't asked it now even though he didn't have a clue before hand not to. He understood that idea of you either being one race or another though fairly well. He had seen enough of it throughout his life, and all of it close to home. He made an apologetic face after she had finished talking.
" I'm very sorry I asked then, but I kind of know how you might feel some. I'm half German and half Icelandic. There was much conflict on both sides of my family about my parents getting married and it hasn't died down any over the years." Theo said to her in a voice that was showing hints of the sadness he felt with the memories of his family. " My father's family wanted him to marry a German woman and my mother's family wanted her to marry an Icelandic man. My parents don't care what they have to say about it, but they aren't allowed at the others family get togethers for any reason. I hardly see much of my family because of that.... but it's fine. I still have my mother and father and little sister."
Theo wasn't sure why he told her all of that. He didn't like talking about his family issues with people, especially ones he just meet. It must have just been the fact he started thinking about it and she might understand him that got him talking. He gave her a forced smile after a moment.
" Well enough of me troubling you with my family circumstances, why don't you tell me about your family?" Theo asked her with that forced smile on his face. " I hear that the Greeks are very big into family, which I really like the thought of myself."
Theo did like the idea of close family ties, even if he didn't have them with his own.

Most European countries had issues with out of culture marriages. Greece happened to be one of the worst. Even Greeks in other countries freaked out when their children even dated non-Greeks. But just because they were the worst, it didn’t mean there weren’t others ‘almost’ as bad.
His rambling though…. Well, too much information, quite literally! He was speaking way too fast for her to even catch half of what he said. She was struggling to follow, especially since several of his words weren’t ones she was familiar with. Names of countries, for example. She’d rarely used them, and only knew a few in English. German was one of them. Iceland…. Not so much. She’d never even heard the English word for the country before now.
Her expression was bare, the girl having given up following what he said when he was halfway through it all. So, obviously she had no idea what he’d said. It was only when he realized what he was doing that she tried to follow once more.
”Ah… Yes. Big. To big.” To big. Way to big. She had dozens of first cousins. But that wasn’t the end of it. She knew most of her second and third cousins(There were at least fifty of them). Sure, she was used to her huge family, sometimes it gave major headaches. Especially since none of them understood the concept of ‘privacy’. This was the first time she’d ever gone more than 24 hours without at least one member of her family present.

Theo was glad that Astra didn't seem to follow what he had said about his family. He had to thank his parents for speaking English so much for that. He personally didn't have much experience with the troubles of a big family, but he could imagine what it would be like to have several little sisters always bugging him about something all the time. He loved his little sister to death, but she had a bad habit of not knocking first and coming and going as she pleased. His smile became eased and not forced after she had replied.
" I don't know what it is like, but I can only imagine what it must be like to have so many siblings. My sister doesn't seem to understand what privacy and personal space is. It must be much worse for you if your siblings are the same way." Theo said to her. " At the end of the day though I wouldn't want a different little sister. I'm sure you love your family very much as well."
Theo waited for her to reply, and figured she must have had it much worse. He wondered what she would have thought though if she had actually caught what he said earlier about the way his family treated his parents. She might have had the same issue, but you never truly know. He had an idea, but he wasn't sure if it was such a great idea to ask. I thought about it for a moment before he figured he might as well ask and she would think what she would think about it. He looked at her and smiled more.
" I had an idea. Would you be willing to teach me how to speak Greek? If you want, I'll even do a painting or sculptor or both of you if you like in return. I will paint or sculpt anything you want really."

”I only ‘ave five brotzers and sisters. Not tzat many.” By most standards, that was a ton! But when your family consisted of eight Aunts and Uncles(without their spouses), and dozens of first cousins…. It was small. Tzey are not as….. nosey as my coosins tzough.” At least her siblings were good about personal space. Cousin though…. IT was a foreign concept to them. She didn’t say anything in response to his saying she must love her family. Sure, she did, but really, this wasn’t a subject you talked about with complete strangers. Ever.
”Teech… You Greek?” Pandora stared at him like he was absolutely insane. Yeah, smart idea. Ask the girl who could barely communicate to teach you a language. ”I do not tzink tzat is good idea. I am no good at teacher.” His offer was a little… unnerving to say the least. Paint or sculpt her? What sort of person asked complete strangers if they would pose for their art? Oh, this had better not be one of those stupid pranks people liked to play on the Greek girl. She was the target of a lot of discrimination at times, all because she talked a little funny.

Theo heard how many siblings she had and what she had to say about her cousins. He only had his little sister as far as siblings go, but he never got to know his cousins that well seeing how he hardly meets them. He couldn't remember the last time he had meet them, been over two years at least. He wondered what it would have been like living in that kind of a family? He probably wouldn't like how nosy they would be from what he was guessing from her body language, but he would just end up retreating out into the woods like he always did when he wanted some alone time. He frowned when she mentioned she wouldn't be able to teach him Greek. He did want to learn how to speak it now after talking with her here, although he was thinking about learning another language anyways. He thought for a moment of what to do and ended up coming up with an idea fairly quickly. He looked at her with a smile.
" Well how about you just help me out while I learn it another way then? Also, I'm still going to do that painting or sculpture for you so pick which one you would like more." Theo said to her in his usual cheerful way. " It will be fun, I promise. Oh also, I'll paint and sculpt anything else you might want me to. Sorry if I seem so weird right now, I just have to paint or sculpt something every so often. Doesn't help I was out in the woods around here for the past few days and couldn't really do anything creative. So like I had said before, I'll make you anything you want me to. All you will have to do is just ask."
Theo gave Astra a smile as he finished talking. He was sure he might have lost her while he was talking since he got so excited. He just really wanted to paint or sculpt something right now and it didn't help that he liked how she looked and carried herself.
