The language of women was an unspeakable, ununderstadable language, for men. They weren’t supposed to understand them. Sometimes though, it really frustrated Freya. She wished Rory wasn’t such a bonehead sometimes. Like now, for instance.
She tried to hold back as many tears as possible, though a few still escaped as she leaned into his chest. And Rory, finally making a good choice, wrapped his arms around her, holding her. After the chaos of the past few days, this really was the only thing she wanted right now. She had the renegade tears under control, when he finally pulled away to look at her. What he said made her laugh. Not because it was necessarily funny, but because for some reason it cheered her up. He’d seriously corrupted her.
He’d planned the kiss pretty well, because she’d just stopped laughing when he leaned forward, pressing his lips against hers. Smiling into it, she gently leaned into the kiss. After only a few moments though, his hunger slowly awakening her own. It wasn’t the time or place, but dammit all, Freya didn’t care. The longer they kissed, the harder and more ferociously she kissed him in return.

Had Rory really corrupted Freya? That was really hard to say with a simple yes or no. It was true, she was a lot different from when he first met her, so innocent and naive to the ways of death and destruction. He opened the door to her, showing her a world that she had never seen before, but all he did was open the door; she had to take the first step. For her to be corrupted, she had to already have that darkness inside of her, Rory just started her on the path. So did Rory corrupt Freya?... Hell yes! The best part was, that she hadn't seen anything yet...
It surprised him a little as they kissed, Rory had only intended it to be a short kiss, despite how much he wanted her right now. Surprisingly though, the longer they kissed, the more aggressive Freya was becoming to the point where Rory doubted he could've pulled away even if he wanted to. It was the wrong time, it was the wrong place for this, they were in the middle of the war, death and destruction surrounded them... Oh how it turned Rory on.
Unable to stop himself, he returned the passion of her kiss, kissing her more and more aggressively. Keeping his arms wrapped around her, he pulled her tighter against him. No doubt she was probably covered with bloody now too, but it obviously wasn't stopping her. If the hunger Rory had for Freya wasn't obvious before, it was now. Rory took a slight step forward, pushing Freya roughly against the metal wall, he could feel her skin starting to heat up. Rory didn't know why, but Freya had always done this too him, getting him excited in times and situations that just weren't appropriate... It was very attractive feature about her...

Bad timing, bad timing, bad timing!
Bad Freya! This was the worst time ever to do this. Worst! Even worse than the time they were in that old lady’s spare bedroom. Probably because, with their lucky, a Ghost or another agent would show up any second when both of their guards was down. Yup, and just for thinking that, Freya was pretty sure it was going to happen now. Not to mention… What was it about these two always falling for each other at the most inappropriate times?
Wait, Freya couldn’t think about that right now!
Her attention quickly returned to Rory. The longer they kissed, the harder it became to even consider stopping. Even after a few moments, she’d lost all desire to stop him. After everything that had happened, this was the only thing she wanted. The only thing that would make both of them feel better. And consider the yelling match they’d just had, it was kind of expected to happen. It was what always happened when one of them was mad at the other.
He’d probably used a little too much force when he pushed her against the wall, but she wasn’t complaining, sure, she’d probably feel it tomorrow. She’d worry about it then. For now, she was only vaguely aware that her body temperature was rising, almost on queue to his quick movement. Several minutes passed, before Freya managed to pull away just enough to speak. ”We shouldn’t be doing this…” Unwilling to seriously stop though, she kissed him once more, wrapping her arms around his neck and forcing him closer.

As much as this all did seem like bad timing, it actually seemed like perfect timing to Rory. After all, they WERE in the middle of a war zone, the world WAS getting torn to shreds, and they really WERE about to face one of the most powerful and deadly mutants on earth. The odds were completely against them, everything pointed to the end result of them failing, and even if they didn't fail then they would probably die either way. The road ahead of them was a road straight to the deepest circle of hell where the devil himself was presiding.
This would likely be the last true break they would get, as soon as they stepped down that hallway, a journey would begin that couldn't be turned away from. So was this bad timing... or perfect timing? It would probably be the last time they could catch their breath regardless. Interestingly enough, they wouldn't be using this free time to be doing much "breath catching"...
"Yer righ', yer absolutely righ'..." Rory said in between the kisses, "We shouldn't be fightin' Darkside, bu' if we dunnit do ih, then who will?" Rory said with a smirk, he knew that wasn't what she was talking but, but it was obvious neither one of them was going to stop. When Freya pulled him tighter against her, it only pushed her harder against the wall. Reaching out blindly, not daring to take his lips off Freyas, he could feel the heat from the small torch she created... and he grabbed it, extinguishing the flame.
It burnt a little, but it was about as hot as Freya's body was becoming, which was only driving Rory more wild. He was putting all of the primal drive into his kiss. His hands began to slowly slide under her shirt as he moved his kisses from her lips down onto her neck, knowing exactly what it would do to her...

Such a bad idea…. But what if this was the last time they could be together? There was a saying, something about going into the belly of the beast. Anyway! The saying didn’t matter exactly. What she was getting at? There wasn’t any turning back. And, one, or both, of them could lose their lives in the days to come… For all they knew, in a few days time, this would all be over… And if that was the case, Freya wasn’t going to waste a single second. She didn’t care that the whole world was under attack. She just wanted to be with Rory at least one more time.
”That isn’t what I meant…” Rory was such a strange fellow sometimes, twisting her comment around to bring it back to Darkside. Right now, that was the last thing on her mind! Screw Darkside… She didn’t speak again for several minutes though, just focused on kissing him as her fingers closed around the back of his shirt, tugging on the fabric, obviously annoyed by it. Smirking as he extinguished their only source of light, she kept her attention on slowly dragging his shirt off… and kissing him, all the frustration and anger from earlier fueling that almost savage need inside her.
”You know… I really, really, hate it when you mention other people when you kiss me.” She was whispering as he slowly moved from her lips to her neck, the breath almost catching in her chest in the process. Dammit…. He knew how it affected her when he did that! She always turned into putty in his hands. She couldn’t think, she couldn’t act. Basically? It made her weak at the knees. Curse it all…

Perhaps the most dangerous thing about what they were doing was the sheer fact that a ghost or an agent just might walk down the hall. Considering that the exit is sealed and the power shut off to this section of the base, it would be unlikely, but possible. No doubt they knew he was somewhere in the base as well. Regardless, Rory wasn't worried because he knew Freya could see body heat, and Rory himself could hear them coming long before they ever got there. That is... if Rory could hear them over Freya's heartbeat, and his own. No, he would catch them, or so he hoped...
"Oh, ih wasn't? I'm sorry alainn..." Rory said, smiling as he kissed her. Though Rory noticed something, her demeanor seemed to change suddenly. She was aggressive before, but it was almost as if she was getting more... seductive, tugging at his shirt and beginning to pull it off. Suddenly it hit Rory even before Freya said anything. Whenever he mentioned someone else or seemed to have his mind on other things, she got even more aggressive trying to force his mind back onto her alone. That was a handy piece of information...
"Ye do? Well, dunnit worry me gra', yer a much better kisser than he is." He whispered into her ear, breaking the kissing for only a moment before he moved back down to her neck. Rory lifted his arms slightly, helping Freya take off his shirt and dropped to the ground. Now probably wasn't the best time to tear their clothes off, seeing as how they would need them soon.
Rory was just as aggressive in his kissing, moving slowly up and down her neck, pulling her body tightly against his. Her body was so hot now it was almost burning to the touch, but the pain was once again simply turning Rory on, making him breathe a little heavier as he began to crave her even more. He slowly slid her shirt up her body and then off, tossing it aside before he pushed back against the wall and moved his kissing from her neck back to her lips. He knew he had her now, now he simply wanted to see just how wild he could drive her to be.

Freya was probably the most jealous creature you would ever meet. Him even saying someone else’s name woke the angry beast inside of her. Especially when they were making out. Especially when she expected him to give her his full, undivided attention. She didn’t know why she was so possessive about Rory, but one thing was for sure. Sharing him? Hah, never. Rory was hers, and hers alone.
SO, yeah, she might get a bit more…. Aggressive if he so much as let his thoughts wander. Who wouldn’t? (Freya seemed to believe this was normal behavior.) The fact Rory hadn’t actually seemed to catch onto this little fact until now was pretty funny though. And now, knowing that it made her a bit mad, he was using it to his own advantage, because just Rory saying ‘he’ woke that angry little monster once again.
”Don’t mention him again….” Her tone, as strained as it was from the sheer distraction his kissing always brought, was a bit threatening… In this case though it was more seductive then anything. Basically it translated to ‘If you talk about him one more time, I’m going to have to make sure you don’t think about him again.’. Like I said, more seductive than an actual threat.
One annoying article removed, two to go. It was too bad they had to be at least a little careful in discarding each other’s clothing, because, really, Freya was at the point where she’d just burn them right off him. As it was, it had taken a lot of will power not to destroy his shirt.
Still putty in his hands, she sighed softly as he held her tightly, those lips of his keeping her mind all a flutter. She could barely even bring herself to move, barely managed to get her arms out of her own sleeves as he removed her shirt and tossed it.
Freya wasn’t taking things slow today, like they usually did. As soon as his lips found her own, she ran her hands down his broad chest, stopping only long enough to trace the tattoo she’d memorized so long ago. After a few moments though, she focused on the task at hand, her hands moving to his pants, slowly unbuttoning them.

It amused Rory just how jealous Freya was getting simply from mentioning Darksides name. Rory was a jealous person, no, jealous didn't quite fit. Rory was a terrotorial person, you touch his property, you look at his property, you think about his property and you die. It was simple, very simple, what was his was his and nobody elses and Freya... Was his. He didn't mind what she did to a point, but if it ever interrupted his "territory" he would get upset.
Freya on the otherhand was simple jealous, and not just jealous, jealously territorial. She took it to a level that even Rory wouldn't do, it was unnatural in a relationship, and it was again very attractive... Was Rory a sick person for liking so many strange things in a woman?... Probably... But no one ever accused him of sanity.
The tone in Freya's voice seemed to suggest it was intended as a threat, but all Rory heard was "Do it, I dare you, bring it on". Which oddly enough was what he usually heard when someone threatened him not to do something, "Dunnit mention who?" Rory said calmly, between each kiss before he leaned close to her ear and whispered, "Oh... Ye mean... Darkside?" Rory knew what happened when he kissed her neck, she completely bended to his will in seconds. With how aggressive she got everytime he seemed distracted, he was curious what this would do.
Though he didn't let it stop him from his "task at hand". He could feel her hands working at the buttons on his pants and for once, he was incredibly thankful that he was not in his armored suit right now. As she fumbled with the button, his hands slowly slid up the sides of her practically molten skin. Pulling her a bit closer, he slid his hands behind her back and unclasped her bra, leaving it hanging limply on her shoulders for now as he continued to kiss her. Once more moving from her lips onto her neck. Each kiss burning his lips, and driving him even crazier. It took everything he had not to tear every piece of clothing off of her...

It was crazy, how the two’s personalities worked. Specifically, when it came to each other. Rory purely territorial, Freya jealously territorial. In both cases, other people were the enemy. Rory would maim(If he was feeling particularly merciful that day) any guy that simply looked at Freya the wrong way. And Freya…. Well, she’d already demonstrated what happened when another girl tried to get close to Rory…. And now Rory was seeing just how deep her jealousy ran. How even mere thoughts of other people (and not just women) infuriated her.
Basically? These two were freaks of nature. And it was exactly those traits that made them freaks that attracted them to each other.
Even totally distracted, totally his, she was freakishly aware of when he said that name. Actually, he could have said any name and it would have cut through her consciousness like a knife through butter. Curse him…! Well… If he wanted to play that game, fine. She’d make sure he didn’t even remember who Darkside was...
((Um… Lining because we really don’t need to know exactly what Freya did >.< Let’s just say he now knows just how aggressive she can be when she’s extremely jealous.))

The blackened hallway was once again silent, well, mostly silent as Rory's heavy breathing was echoing around the walls. They had only gone through with it all for about twenty minutes, maybe thirty at the most, it was the fastest they had ever been and understandably so. They usually went for many many hours, but, that wasn't exactly feasable now. Regardless, Rory was more out of breath than he ever had been doing it with her... ever. To get Rory out of breath was somewhat of an accomplishment to say the least.
"Wow..." Was all Rory said after a long period of silence, holding Freya in his arms as they leaned against the wall, "I... Didn't know fire could do tha'..." Rory finally said, eventually letting out a large sigh, he leaned over and kissed Freya softly on the lips. She had definitely surprised him in more ways than one since he met her, it seemed he knew less about her than he thought. Too bad they'd probably die soon...
"Come on Alainn, ye gotta ge' up... We need ta go kill people." Rory said bluntly, sliding his arm away from Freya and feeling for his clothes, eventually finding his udnerwear and pants and slipped them on. A few more feet away he found his socks, shoes, and eventually his shirt and weapons; putting them all back on accordingly. Sometimes... Very rarely, but sometimes... He didn't want to go kill, he wanted to do something less... Violent... Now was one of those times. Damn Darkside and his world annihilition schemes.

Freya lay against Rory, just as out of breath as he was. Sometimes, it seemed, she could even surprise herself, as she’d basically just proven. And to say she was annoyed that it was over was a bit of an understatement. Freya did not want to get up. Did not want to kill any Ghosts. And did not want to deal with the world’s problems. All she wanted right now, was to spend more time with the love of her life.
Glancing up at him when he finally spoke, she chuckled softly. ”Is that a good thing?” Smiling into his kiss, she debated seducing him once again to get out of stopping world domination. The selfish side of her screaming to make him forget about the world, and the sensible part saying…. The same thing? Huh, this wasn’t working all that well. It seemed Rory was her conscience at the moment. Being told to get up though…. As expected, Freya downright hated that idea.
No, hated wasn’t even a strong enough word. Grumbling, she didn’t even get up, instead, just laying on the ground after he got up, muttering something in French that sounded almost like ‘make me’. After a moment, she realize that he actually would, she reluctantly got up, found her clothes, and set to work getting back into them. ”I’ve decided.” She spoke up while wiggling into her jeans. ”All of them are going to die extremely painful deaths for cutting into my Rory time.”

"Ih was a very good thing, alainn." Rory said, a goofy grin plastered on his face, making him thankful that it was so dark in here. Though, Rory himself had thrown in a few new things as well. He may be a warrior, but that didn't mean he only knew moves that killed... "We better hurry though, hopefully the world hasn't been destroyed in the las' ten minutes." Though, Rory himself didn't want to stop either, he knew he had a duty and a mission. Yet, for the first time ever, Rory would rather make love, not war... What was wrong with him?!
Rory waited calmly as Freya found her clothes and slipped them back on, making sure that all his guns and knives were holstered and ready for action. He had no idea what this base would have inside it, so like a good boyscout, he came prepared. "The feelin' is very mutual lass..." He said with a shake of his head.
"The bastards are cuttin' into my Rory time too!" Though to be fair, he was going to kill them all regardless and make as many of the deaths as unpleasant as possible. Sure, Rory was in a bit better mood now, but that didn't change the fact that they had desecrated his homeland and destroyed everything he loved; for that they would die. They would all die. As soon as Freya was dressed, Rory began walking down the dark hall, sliding a pistol out and holding it with both hands just in case.
After a few minutes of walking, a light could be seen at the end of the tunnel. Rory's immediate thought was Stay away from the light! He mentally laughed at his own joke, he was just so funny sometimes! "Stay close alainn, I dunnit know wha's ahead, bu' I have a feelin' ih ain't the stables where they keep their rainbow unicorns." He said with an all too serious tone...

Pfft. Freya didn’t care about the world right now. It could go to hell for all she cared (it was, as a matter of fact.)! Twenty minutes was not enough time, and only left her irritable. Sure, she was in a much better mood then before, but that didn’t mean she was exactly happy. Okay, scratch that, she had been up until he said they had to get up. Curse it all… Well, at least she wasn’t nearly as angry as she was before. She could live with the irritation, and just have to corner Rory if it started to drive her insane. ”You know, there’s one good thing about potentially missing the end of the world.” She didn’t finish the sentence. Rory would know what she meant. They wouldn’t have to stop after twenty minutes…
Fully dressed she sighed, still irritated. Of course, she did raise an eyebrow when he said ‘rory time’. That was her thing. Whatever. Not lighting a fire, she followed, able to easily keep up. It was times like these she was glad she could see body heat. Sure, her ‘night vision’ wouldn’t help if other people weren’t around, but it made it impossible to sneak up on her if she was paying attention. Sadly, there had been a few times when someone (Rory, specifically) had managed to go undetected and scared her half to death. Those encounters never ended well, usually with Rory burned…
Freya spotted the light long before Rory, but didn’t mention it because she was sure he’d spot it in only a few seconds. And he did. ”I don’t know what’s scarier. Darkside’s entire army or rainbow unicorns.” She shuddered after saying those two words. If she had a choice, she would chose to face all of Darkside’s forces over meeting a rainbow unicorn…

"Is tha' all ye think about? Sometimes I feel like yer only with me fer me body." Rory said in a slight hushed tone as he lead the way down the hall, those his tone sounded as if he was hurt by what she said it was fairly obvious he was joking. It was mostly obvious due to the fact that Rory was usually the one that started it every time with Freya, if anyone should've been saying what he just said, she should've. "Ih's like ye think I'm a piece of meat, I have feelings ye know?..." Rory sounded serious, but paused for a moment after he spoke, "...Sometimes..." It was true, seeing Rory show emotions was like seeing a penguin in the middle of the Sahara: Amusing at first, but then just wrong...
They were finally approaching the light in the hallway and as they got closer it appear as though they were coming to a crossroad. The hallway split into three different directions, one straight in front of them, one to the left, and one to the right. Rory leaned against the wall, peeking around the corner to see if anyone was around before turning back to Freya with an absolutel stoic expression on his face as he spoke, "Rainbow unicorns..." Rory said with a serious, matter-of-fact, tone.
"At leas' ye know Darkside's jus' gonna kill ye er torture ye. No telling what those fruity unicorns are gonna do." He said with a nod, truth be told, if Rory ever did see a unicorn he would most definitely kill it. After all, how awesome would it be to be the man who killed a rainbow unicorn? It was then that he wondered what they would taste like... He really needed some food.
Slowly Rory stepped into the middle of the crossroads, "So... Which way?..." He said, holstering his pistol as he slowly turned in a circle, staring down each path. Rory was beginning to remember this place now, the entire base was like a maze and if they chose the wrong way it would lead to The Pit... Rory shuddered at the thought...

Freya was smirking. ”Of course not, just when I’d rather be with you for several hours and only get half of one. As for your body… It is a definite plus.” Quickening her pass, she caught up, and quickly kissed him on the cheek. Falling behind once more, she tilted her head slightly. ”Sure you have feelings. You just don’t voice them very often.” Sometimes, Freya loved and hated Rory expressing himself. She was so used to him being his witty but mostly calm self, it was a nice change of pace when he did. But when it turned into a yelling match… Not so much.
”Exactly. Let’s avoid the unicorns at all costs.”[/b[ She was still smirking, but lowered her voice as they approached the light. She didn’t feel anything, so she was sure no one was ahead. Rory though, being the cautious man he was, had to be sure, peeking about like a ninja before finally stepping out. Following him out, she looked down each hall, mentally reaching out and trying to find at least the smallest spark. Far, far down one, she found it. ”Someone’s down this one.” She pointed. ”I don’t know how many, I can barely even feel it. But that’s definitely body heat.” Slowly, she turned to look at Rory, wondering which he would pick.
