Alucard's appearance was unexpected, but not surprising. Now, Parker was the only Nightshade not at this crazy reunion. Smart guy... He'd probably gone into hiding the moment he felt his cousin's approaching. Rose wished she'd been that smart... But then, she couldn't have seen her sister! Oh well... She could deal with all her cousins knowing she was alive.
Glancing at Alucard, her expression was hard to read. "I assume you know both your brothers are here?" She paused for a heartbeat. "And considering your out here.... Avoiding them for as long as you can?" Well, she was fine with him being out here as long as Dalacur didn't start tearing the school apart looking for his youngest brother. "You can stay."
Now, she was completely ignoring her younger cousin, because she'd noticed Syrena, her little niece, holding those tiny arms of her out towards her, silently ordering her aunt to hold her. Rose... didn't know what to do. Glancing up at Sky, her sister did the one thing she didn't expect, basically force Rose to hold the squirming infant. Rose had never held a baby before in her life.
She stared down at her now still niece, who was giving her one of the most manipulative, charming smiles Rose had ever seen. Yup, this girl was definitely a Nightshade. At only a few months, she was trying to sway the opinions of those around her, wrap everyone around those little fingers of hers... And she was succeeding. An almost look of awe was glued onto her face as she stared down at Syrena. "She.... She's very cute." Cute. A word most people didn't think was in Rose's vocabulary.
