Dalacur sat on a bench on one of the less populated routes of trails in the park. He wanted to be alone for the most part, but he was never alone. It took a lot of strength to be 'alone'.
Leaning back against that bench, both arms were bent at the elbow and rested upon the top of that bench back. He was wearing his usual attire, a leather overcoat over his shirt as well as a dark pair of pants and of course a nice set of matching boots. His head was tilted downward which had his cowboy-esque hat hiding his face. He wouldn't want anyone to see the wince he had upon his face. Hands clenched slightly with the pain he felt in his head.
He had just finished dealing with a man that seemed, dare he think it, crazier than himself. Once he shot himself in the head Dal had only shrugged and walked away. What was he going to do? He didn't know the man, so he walked away. And that was how he ended up where he was now.
Slight twitches in his muscles continued to happen, every time he felt that throb within his head.

Finishing the ending of the last paragraph of the document he had been working on Bennet let out a sigh as he closed his laptop. Standing up Bennet started to stretch before taking a look at the clock that was located on the nightstand near his bed. A look of surprise would have been on his face after seeing that he had been at his latest project for the last five hours straight if he wasn't already used to it.
Deciding he needed a break before he started on any of his other projects Bennet grabbed his jacket of the back of a chair and exited the room he had been given at the Xavier Institute. Not really knowing where he should go Bennet decided that he would go grab something to eat and then go from there.
After grabbing something at small cafe Bennet ended up in central park, the only bit of green in the vast concrete jungle of New york City. Going down one of the many oaths of the park Bennet spotted someone sitting on one of the benches, as he got closer he recognized the cow boy like hat the man wore as he one his brother never went without. 'What is he doing here?' was a question that was running through Bennet's mind when he stopped just a few feet away.

Poor Dal was still irritated with the noises in his head but then a sudden alarm went off. He wasn't alone, more importantly he knew the person that he wasn't alone with. He turned up his head just enough for his eye to peer through the hole upon the brim of that hat. Yellow eye stared upon him for a long moment before he finally spoke. "Well, isn't this a surprise. Why are you still in town?"
Knowing his brother he would have figured he would have run off to the other side of the country again. Dracaul always seemed to be the type to run away in these situations. He also was surprised that he just stood there instead of avoiding him. But it was good to see him again. It was nice to see that his siblings were still managing to be alive.
There was still that pained expression on his face. Of course he attempted to hide it. His head was splitting and he had to make it stop. Unfortunately there wasn't anything that really could make it stop. At least his brother of all people was used to how strange he could act at times.

When his older brother turned his head and attention onto him Bennet had to hold back another sigh that wanted to escape from him before walking closer to the bench Dalacur resided on. "The Exiles are now part of the X-men, so I'll probably be splitting my time between France and New York. I'll most likely stay here until they need me back at the castle or when I finish with what I'm working on, after that I don't know what I'll do. Whether I stay there or come back here afterwards I'll figure out when that time comes."
After he finished speaking Bennet fixed his older brother with a curious look. "What are you still doing here? I would have thought you would have left by now." Like Dal Bennet was surprised to see his brother still in town. He had honestly expected for him to have moved on to do whatever it was he did when he was on his own.
Upon a closer inspection of his older brother Bennet noticed the pained experson on Dal's face, though of course he was trying to hide it. "Is your head bothering you again?"

He listed to his brother's words as much as he could with the pain he was experiencing. Now that his attention was off of trying to keep the pain away, it came back with a vengence. But with years of experience it wasn't as bad as it could be.
"Should I leave?" Dal smirked over to his brother. "Afraid I'll find something out and tell Mother?" Not that he really had the best relationship with their mother, but he thought it was something that would make Dracaul roll his eyes. Granted he was a little surprised that he had remained in town as well. There was a reason for it but he didn't want to admit that either. Pride 'n all.
Dalacur snarled slightly to that question, mostly because he didn't want to admit that his head was bothering him. "When doesn't my head bother me?" He paused for a moment as he rose a hand and curled his fingers as if that gesture explained his pain all on its own. "That damn dog...wont stop...barking, it's been going on for hours." And there was no sound of dogs anywhere near them.

Bennet just shook his head at his brothers words. "Not necessarily. You just never seemed to be the type of person to stay in one place for very long unless there was something in it for you." Actually it seemed like all of them were like that at least in some way. It most be something in the Nightshade gene that made it's members want to leave places as soon as they get there.
He then scoffed at the next question. "Right, and what would you tell her? That i'd join the exiles? I think she already knows that." His words weren't really biting, just slightly curious. Another thing it seemed like they all had in common was their lack of relationship with their parents, or any of the other family members. Before he had come to New York Bennet couldn't remember the last time he had even spoken with any of his family.
Bennet just ignored his older brother when he snarled at him, to used to his and Freya's mood sings to really be affected by them any more. When he mentioned a dog barking Bennet lifted an eyebrow, mildly looking around them. "What dog? There's no dog barking. At least not one that I can hear."
Bennet was beginning to wonder if Dalacur was beginning to loose what was remaining of his sanity or if he had acquired a new power of super hearing. It was possible, considering what his power was.

Dalacur shrugged to the way his brother defended his joke about their mother.
Funny how not even his brother knew what truly plagued him as a weakness of his power. Probably was a good thing but understanding can go a long way. If Dalacur was close to anyone he supposed it would be Dracaul. They spent more time together as kids than any of the others. Though he did tend to spoil that little sister of theirs. Something unique about the girls of their family...
"I hope you wouldn't hear it. Or you're as crazy as I am." He smirked to his brother. Dal didn't consider himself all that crazy but the fact that he heard voices in his head on a rather constant basis...had to make you crazy in some sense. And there was that dog that wouldn't shut up. If only he could ring its neck. All of the Nightshades were crazy in their own right. Some just lost it far more than others did. Dracaul seemed to be the more 'normal' person of the family.
"You have it quite easy don't you?" Dal pushed his shoulders from the bench to lean his arms against his legs a bit while he looked at him. "Always so cool and collected. How'd you manage that?" He was almost jealous...but then who really wanted to be ordinary? There was something to say about being...unique.
