[Devika Veni]

Devika stood outside a doorway a small bag thrown over her shoulder a suitcase in her hand and a small cage in her other hand for Hara who was very unhappy to be in a cage and kept trying to escape Devika was in a dark green Saree with a red flower trim it also hade a red flowers over it was will she had her deep red Bendi on her forehead she was dressed a little nicer then she normally would being where she was at or more what she was going to be doing.

What was she doing and how did she get hear it was not so simple but hear she was in front of Mr. Lancasters home and she was going to be his house wife for the next who knew how long

::How it happened::
Devika was looking for some where to stay for the winter some place she could rent one week at a time so if she ever needed to just take off she be fine she just couldn’t be spending every night in a tent Hara would get sick before she new it he already wasn’t looking to well and was always trying to start fires to keep himself warm.

When she ran into someone who had worked for her father once and she did some translation work for once his name was Mr. Halfort at first Devika was scared to death that he would tell her to go back home and stop lying her to her parents but he was kind and told her that her srect was safe and to enjoy her day. As the Day went on and Devika talked to him Mr. Halfort seemed to have something on his mind when he asked her to do something

“Ms. Veni would you mind taking care of a friend of mine he got hurt doing a job for me he needs just someone to keep him in bed really it will be easy work and I know you be great for it”

Devika took the job more then willing to do it Mr. Halfort explained that the young man had room at his house for her so she be living there with him for the next wile and his name but rather then that Devika new nothing of this man.

::back in front of Mr. Liams house::

Devika walked in the house it was unlocked she new that Mr. Lancaster was expecting her and she was told to just walk in to make it easier on him She saw him on the couch and smiled at him setting down her stuff she sliped off her shoes real quick and gave a slight bow with her hand is a pray like state and she bowed to the man.

[Liam Lancaster]

Liam was sitting on his couch just staring at the TV that wasn't on. He wasn't sure what he wanted to watch since he had been letting Stella pick the shows while she was staying with him. He didn't know where she had run off to either, but he couldn't blame her for running after seeing him die by all normal human standards in front of her eyes. He wasn't human though, and while he was extremely light headed and feeling weak for a couple of days after his fight with that mech. The emp blast had stopped his heart and lungs right away, but even after they started back up, it was messing with the way his nervous system worked. He wondered where Stella went off to, but he also knew that if she didn't want to stay with him then it was her choice to go.

Liam was still sitting on the couch thinking about what all was going on, when someone came inside. He turned to look at them and saw a young, indian woman in traditional clothing walk in. She greeted him with a bow as she came in and told him her name. He looked at her for a moment before he tried to stand up. He was having trouble getting his body to move, which felt very slow to him but would seem that he was moving about as fast as one would expect a normal injured person to move. He finally managed to get up and face.

" Hello there, Ms. Veni was it? What brings you to my home, with a suitcase and pet no less?" Liam asked her as he slowly nodded his head in greeting to her. " Did I some how get married while I was at Indian not long ago? I'm sorry if we were and I forgot. I have never been good at picking up local customs."

Liam didn't know what was going on now, but he hoped it wasn't anything bad.

[Devika Veni]

Devika smiled at him “It India not Indian” people didn’t really get things all the time she figured he didn’t know most peoples customs witch was fine with her but she was token back that he didn’t know why she was hear.
“Mr. Halfort hired me to take care of you until you got better, I figured he would of told you” this had become ackward she had just walked into a man house uninvited Devika had blushed a deep red this was imbasing and then he had to say that he tought that they where married funny yes but he didn’t understand how big marriage was in India.

Devika looked around not sure what to do she was hired to help a man who didn’t even know she was coming Mr. Halfort said she be living there and that Mr. Lancaster wouldn’t mind her pet snake what was she to do just turn around and leave say that she was sorry then the idea came that she walked into the wrong home o that made it even worst if she did she had to make sure “…..your Mr. Lancaster….right” her accent was getting thicker the more nervous she got.

[Liam Lancaster]

Liam listened to her as he watched her turn red from blushing so much. She was obviously embarrassed, but when she said Halfort sent her, he had an idea of what was going on now. He just smiled at her, rather slowly since all his muscles were not wanting to work right now.

" Yes, I'm Liam Lancaster. So Halfort sent you did he? He worries too much. I just can't move well right now is all, but since your here, why don't you go pick a room that doesn't look lived in and make yourself at home." Liam said to her in a friendly way. " Your well to stay here as long as you like. You and your little friend. So what do you want for supper? I don't have much in the fridge right now, but I would be glad to order us something or go pick up some food and cook for you."

Liam still wasn't sure why Halfort had decided to send this young woman to his home. He had claimed it was for her to be helping him while he was injured, but when it came to Halfort, there was always another motive behind his actions. He slowly walked over to Devika and took her suitcase and bag from her, letting her keep her cage, and started walking down the hallway towards the guest rooms. He was moving a little better now then he was a moment ago. He would have just assumed that he needed to 'walk things off' if it wasn't for the fact that the problem was his nervous system and not his muscles in general.

[Devika Veni]

Devika looked up at him she was still blushing when he said that he was Mr. Lancaster Devika sighed a little well she did fine the right house and she was going to do hear job Liam was hurt anyone could see that and he didn’t needed to do anything.

He let her pick up her bag but and guild her to a room she stayed by his side just incase he needed to stop he may of said he was fine but she wasn’t going to let him get out of being treated that easily when he asked about supper she looked at him “Mr. Halfort asked me to be your maid that what I’m going to do you are going to sit down and get better if I have to make a list for you with the things you are aload to do and not do I will but you are going to take it easy”

Devika wasn’t worried about there not being much in the fridge if there wasn’t much she could make something and soups could be made with most anything as long as you had water and if there really wasn’t anything then she go to the store. Liam wasn’t going to lift a finger why she was hear she wasn’t going to let him Mr. Halfort hired her to take care of him and he didn’t need to be taking care of her.

[Liam Lancaster]

Liam continued to walk towards the guest room he decided to let Devika use while he listened to her speak. She seemed determined to make him just sit down and not do anything while she took complete and total care of him. He didn't like that idea at all though. He had always been taking care of himself and others as he grew up and he wasn't about to make someone else do so much for him just because he was a little injured. He stopped walking after a moment, partly because it was becoming hard to move again, and looked at Devika.

" I don't care what Halfort said to you, this is my house and I'm the one you were going to be taking care of so I'll tell you right now that I won't be letting you do so much for me. You have things you want to do yourself I'm sure, and it isn't like I can't take care of myself, so you just relax for today and you can start doing things tomorrow." Liam said to her in a serious tone. " Do you understand me Ms. Veni?"

Liam just looked at her with a look that said not to disagree with him. He wasn't about to let her run herself ragged, or so he thought, just because he couldn't move so well right now.

[Devika Veni]

Devika wasn’t at all surpized when he stoped but he was agueing with him She didn’t raise her voice at all hara had made a hissing sound he not liking someone being mad at devika. devika just looked down at him to make sure that he was keeping his wings down and that the rubber band was over them so he did just look like a normal snake.

“Mr. Lancaster you look like a very fit man so I will tell you this when you can carry me up a mountain for 5 miles with out stopping I will not do my job now if you want me to order something to day instead of cook I will be more then happy but remember until you can do that I will not let you stop resting.”

Devika turned and walked a little a head of him this time just to prove her point and found the bedrooms and an open one for that matter she set Hara cage down on the night stand he smeemed to think that it ment he chould get out and started moving around faster in the cage Devika just set her pack down and weighted for Mr. Lancaster to even try to ague this one and to catch up why she unpaked her backpack.

[Liam Lancaster]

Liam just watched this woman who was treating him like he was helpless and like she wasn't a guest at his home. He looked at her while she unpacked. She told him that she was going to treat him like this until he carried her 5 miles up a mountain? Fine, that's what he would do. It would be slow, but he would get it done. He watched over to her.

" Fine, then lets go to a mountain and I will carry you 5 miles up it." Liam said to her in a serious tone. " It won't be fast, but I will carry you those 5 miles. I'm not sick or injured in the way you think I am, truly not in a way that you would understand, so lets get going."

Liam gently grabbed her wrist and slowly started to walk towards the door of the room. He was determined to show her that she didn't need to treat him like he was useless just because he got a little injured. He didn't want a guest doing so much for him when it was his job to see to it that they were treated like guests.

[Devika Veni]

She didn’t think that he could do it when he picked her up she just looked at him as he slowly moved towards the door. She smirked “ you know I said no stopping so the second you stop we are going back and im cooking”

Devika was sure she was going to win this he could barley move that and she didn’t know where any mountines where in new york not even the tallest building was a mile high and there was a reason she wanted him to hike up that was for the work.

Devika just enjoyed the ride for as long as it lasted hoping he wouldn’t pass out if he was that detumed of a fool to do so, She wasn’t educated on what his ingrys where just being told to help him around the house the best she could and he needed to luren to just sit back and take it she was really doing this out of the goodness of her heart and not because she needed the place to stay she could of rented some nice hotel but she didn’t want to.

There was something that Mr. Lancaster would luren about Devika she could be just as stubborn as him and she was going to help him she was going to make his meals do his laundry and what ever else that was needed around her it wasn’t hard and she was more then willing to do it.

[Liam Lancaster]

Liam had ended up carrying Devika instead of just taking her with him to the Appilation Mountains. He listened to what she had said, and was a little annoyed now that she was so sure he couldn't do this. He had to give her credit that he was having issues with getting his muscles to move, but that didn't mean he couldn't move at all. He wasn't sure how long he was going to be able to go before his muscles locked up on him again, they had done it a few times since he was injured, but he had at least managed to get them out of the door and watching down the road.

Liam had already made it roughly 2 miles, and it took longer then it should have taken, but he hadn't stopped once the entire time. They had gotten more then a few looks from everyone they passed on the street. New York City had plenty of strange things happening all the time, but a 6'7 man carrying a young woman dressed in traditional Indian clothing down the side walk at a slow pace was not something normal. Liam didn't like sticking out, a hard task to accomplish when are 6'7 and look like you could put a dent in a steel door with a punch (something Liam ironically can do), but he didn't focus on that fact right now. He was going to prove to this woman that he could do more then she thought he could and was just glad that his muscles hadn't stopped working on him yet. He just needed 3 more miles and then maybe she would see the light.

" How are you enjoying the ride so far? It isn't the mountains, but walking the streets of the city has it's own difficulties when you can't stop moving." Liam said to her as he continued down the side walk.

Liam wasn't sure what she was going to say to him, but they had gotten to a park as he finished talking. He walked into the park and down an isolated path that had no one on it. He had been walking down it for a few minutes when what he feared most would happen happened, his muscled locked up on him and stopped working.

[Devika Veni]

She was a deep red as they walked down the street seeing all the faces of everyone who looked at her Devika chouldn’t make eye contacted with any of them she keep looking away as much as Devika loved riding things this was just strange.

The two miles where long and slow but she wasn’t surprised she just kept thinking the hole time a few things one Haru was most likely freaking out seeing that she was carried out of a room and he was locked in a cage and what SHE was going to make for dinner when they past a shop she get a new idea of what to make.

When he asked how she was enjoying the ride she smiled at him “It is lovely only wish I could do the same for you I will have to do something just as kind when we get home” She haft joked. Devika felt better when they started walking threw the park a bit no one was watching them so she felt so much better. She was wondering if he make it when something happened she looked down at him “is everything all right or do you need to stop” She had a feeling that she had just one this little war with him.

[Liam Lancaster]

Liam listened to what Devika said to him about doing something for him when they get home to repay him for the ride. He wasn't sure if he was hearing her right since it sounded fairly flirty and he wasn't so use to women flirting with him, aside from Sarah and Stella that was. He figured he was just going to ignore how she said that and assume she meant make him a special dinner or something. After his muscled locked up on him and she had finished talking, he figured he should give her the bad news of what just happened.

" You can feel all victorious all you want to in a moment, but we have a problem." Liam said to Devika in a serious voice. " My muscles have locked up and it is impossible to move them at the moment. I'm not going to be able to move from this spot until they are getting their signals back."

Liam tried to think of what he could do at the moment, but there wasn't anything he could think of. His muscles weren't getting any of their signals from the nerves so he wasn't going to be able to move until they did. He was glad though that his organs had managed to not be effected like his muscles, which was a lucky break because that probably would have ended up killing him if they did. He sighed before looking down at Devika.

" I suggest not getting any idea of trying to drag me or move me yourself either. I'm heavier then I look." Liam said to her.

Liam's body was heavier then a normal persons body was thanks to him being silicon based. He also tended to sink more then float for the same reason.

[Devika Veni]

Devika smirked she had one yes they where now alone in the park tell he could move again but she still one he did prove to her he was thick headed and he would try to prove her wrong she sighed trying to look disappointed but not really.

She broke out of his hands he had a strong grip on her and him not able to move didn’t make it easy. After awile she looked at him to bad that he lived in a city and she wasn’t about to be all O I’m a mutant I can give you a ride do you want a dragon or a jub jub bird. She sat on the ground “Do I look like I can carry a full grown man anywhere lets hope you get un rusted soon or well be camping tonight….”

She looked up at the sky jugeing how late it already was “If it gets to late then I’ll run back and grab some stuff for us” she said “are you all right with that Mr. Lancaster” she said smileing up at him she had to admet she hate it if she chouldn’t move but he could of told her how he was hurt before she was thinking it was joint pain or something no this looked to be nerves or something along the lines.

[Liam Lancaster]

Liam was still locked in place and unable to move. Devika had managed to get herself free of him, which he was glad that she was, but he was starting to get annoyed with the fact that he couldn't move him own muscles. He had once thought about a way that he would be able to move himself, but that had proved to not work out. He thought moving his body by moving his bio-armor would work, but it was connected to his nervous system and it had taken a hit along with his muscles. He wasn't sure what he could do about getting his body working again when she had mentioned going back to the house. She had mentioned doing it to bring stuff back, but Liam had a better idea.

" Yes, go back to the house. You need to finish getting unpacked and why don't you just go ahead and make something to eat? I'll catch up with you as soon as my muscles unlock." Liam said to her in a friendly way. " I'll be fine out here by myself no matter how cold it gets. One of the perks on this body I guess, although that is also the reason I'm in this mess."

Liam hoped she would listen to him and just go home already. If she did, then he would have plenty of time to be able to focus on moving his muscles again. It surprised him how much thought he had to put into just simply moving his body while it wasn't working.

[Devika Veni]

“what a wonderful idea sir I’ll get moving right away and have dinner made for you in no time at all”

She smiled as stood up her bare feet toughing the ground maybe she should of grabed her shoes on the way out but then she also didn’t plan on walking the hole way there. “Mr. Lancaster I will do what you wish but I will give you one hour to get back home or I’m coming back to get you understand and when you get home I want a full detail on what you did to your body”

Devika walked off and just before she turned out of sight she smiled at Mr. Lancaster “And don’t you try anything stupid I’m not as week as I look Mr. Lancaster and I can move much faster then you”

As soon as she was out of sight she summoned a small griffin it was only big enogh to carry one person and even Devika was a hard weight for it to carry but she didn’t need to get caught and flying with the small griffin looked more like there was a large bird in the sky.

Devika was home got rid of her baby griffin in a matter of minnites form when she left Liam and once she was ‘home’ she fished unpacking like Liam told her to and then she cooked a nice meal with what she had for two and even went and starting cleaning just weighting for Liam to come home she also pulled a blanket out for Liam if she had to go and get him but she didn’t bother getting everything else until more time passed.
