Had to love the bars in New York. There still managed to be rather dive-ish type bars that acted as if they were better than they were. Sure the decor was facy and neat. But the bartenders were the same. Scruffy old guys that had seen the world through each experience of people that decided to pour their hearts out to them.
Meanwhile college students played pool on dates and hung around the bar thinking that they were cool because they considered themselves 'regulars'. Victor didn't need to be a regular to get the respect of the bartender before him. The large imposing man of two hundred and seventy five pounds was easily enough to set a human into a frozen position. Especially when you added that overcoat he wore, which hid the definition of the muscles within.
Though when it came to drinking Victor was rather subdued. A man that simply enjoyed the taste of the liquor rather than using it to get drunk. Not that it would work well in the long run. "Beer with whiskey chaser." He barked the order to the man as he sat down onto that barstool. He intended to sit by himself so he had chosen a corner stool fo that long bar. There were quite the set of attractive women around, it was enough to bring ideas to his mind.

Jean was sick of sitting in the mansion all day doing nothing. She had not been back for long but she was getting crazy staying inside. They had not assigned her anew class or anything so she had nothing to do. She needed some fresh air and some other people to interact with. She went to her room and threw on a black skirt and a white lace cami with a pair of black wedge shoes. It was warm out so she didn't feel the need for a jacket. She grabbed her purse and her keys and headed to the garage for her car.
As Jean drove down the raod leading away from the mansion she started thinking. To anyone else she hadn't changed much but to the people who really knew her she had changed drastically. She wore less conservative clothes unlike before and was more out going and adventurous. She liked to have fun and get to know more people. Before she was more reserved. She glanced out of her window and saw a resturaunt off to the side of the road she pulled in just as her stomach growled.
As she walked in she was soon seated and handed a menu. Jean glanced over it and chose a small salad. After she had eaten her meal she still didn't feel like going back to the mansion so she stood outside of the resturaunt she was at and started walking in the opposite was of her car. She needed air and this was the way to get it. Jean's mind was so jumbled she didn't notice where she was going. The lights of a bar flashed in her face. She was in the mood for a drink right now. She walked in and sat close to the corner. She didn't even notice the man sitting close to her.
"Can I get a shot of whiskey please?"

Victor had been quietly drinking his beer, having already drank down that shot of whiskey. His mind had practically gone blank, just staring at the nearby TV. With his hearing he really didn't need to read teh subtitles on the screen. But then his hearing heard something else interesting. An attractive voice turned his attention from that TV to the person that sat near him. Wait... did he know her? A sniff taken to the air was a dead give away. But why was she here?
He turned his eyes to watch her for a long moment. He wondered if she even realized how close she sat to a beast. "Whiskey is a pretty hard drink for a frail thing like you." Of course Victor knew she was far from frail. But if you just looked at her...she looked frail.
Though he opened with his simple statement he wondered why she was here to begin with. She didn't seem like the bar going type. But devious thoughts also wandered into his mind. If he remembered correctly the Runt had quite a fondness for the red head. Thoughts of stringing her up by her feet and skinning her alive then leaving her infront of Logan's window had come to mind.

Jean had shot back the whiskey like it was nothing. It didn't really effect her anymore. She used to cringe at the stuff but now she didn't really mind. She had been so rattled in her head that she didn't at first hear the voice of the man close to her. She looked over at him as he spoke. He looked familiar but she couldn't quite place where she had seen him before.
She brushed some of her red hair behind her ear as she set the shot glass onto the bar top. The bartender came and poured her another one. Her powers drifted throughout the bar and listened to the many people there but as she drew close to the man close to her she got complete silence. That was a surprise. The only person she knew who she couldn't read was Logan.
her mind drifted back to Logan. She hadn't seen him since she had been back. She wondered where he was or if anyone had told him that she was back. If they had she was sure that he would have been back at the mansion in a matter of days but who knew. She searched the man's face but still couldn't pick out where she had seen him before.
'I'm not as frail as I look. Don't trust what you see sometimes."

Victor smirked as he realized she didn't recognize him. Didn't really surprise him, he never got a chance to torture himself into her memory. Perhaps tonight was the night to change that? That smirk revealed part of that pointed canine tooth. Victor was definitely more feral looking than Logan, and thanks to Logan Victor's mind wasn't easy to tap into by the telepaths. He really should thank him one day, with a punch in the face.
He used his hand to gesture the bartender to bring them both another shot of whiskey. Of course the type of whiskey Victor was drinking was far stronger than what she had just downed. It would be hard to miss those dull metallic claws as he made that gesture but how she missed them before was strange anyway. Victor could hide in a crowd but someone with a keen enough eye would realize he wasn't 'normal'.
"So what brings you out here then Darlin'? Feeling rebelious?" He knew she was part of the X-men, most likely a teacher too. He doubted many of them went out to bars...well except for Logan of course. But who would trust him with kids?

Jean gladly accepted the shot that was brought over to her. She shot it back like a champ. It was in her blood after all. Her family was full of a whole bunch of drunks and drug addicts. She learned from the best. As the man ordered her a drink she saw the glint off of his claws and noticed the pointed canine tooth under his lip. He was a mutant just like her. She knew there was something different about him. His claws reminded her of Logan's. Maybe he knew him.
"Hard day is all. Needed to get out of the house though. Too many people. What about you? I'm Jean by the way."
She brushed some of her red hair behind her ear as she crossed her slender legs. Her skirt slid up her leg a bit more but she didn't care. Before she came back she would never have worn such a thing. But now that her life was different she found herself wearing more revealing clothes than before. She studied the man that sat close to her. She still couldn't pin point where she had seen him before or even if she had really seen him at all anywhere.
"Have we met before? You seem really familiar."

Victor had to smirk as she took the shot like...well better than any other girl he had seen. That was pretty impressive.
Have they met before? Perhaps at a distance. He always went for Logan way before paying attention to the other X-men after all. Unless it meant pissing the Runt off. And tonight just might meet that quota. Creed glanced her over again, taking in the way her skirt moved to reveal more of her skin. She really shouldn't tempt a man that was now for raping and murder. But that was okay, he'd rather see fear in her face than anything else.
"Name's Victor Creed Darlin'. And I can't say that we have officially met until now. Nice to meet you." If he had a hat he probably would have tipped it then. But besides that he smiled to her, it was a genuine smile but it had a somewhat frightening predatory aura about it. Only because that was what he was...a predator. Question was, would she recognize his name? He only assumed that she would know what his codename was and he was ready to reveal that yet. Unless she was smart enough to put the pieces together.

"Officially met? What is that supposed to mean?"
She looked at Victor as he sat there. He seemed dangerous but so were a lot of people. Jean could handle herself she knew that and if not she could always call Logan for help. Logan would always be there she knew that. She ordered a beer from the bartender and took a long swig from it. if Scott saw her now he wouldn't know who she was. She wasn't the same Jean that she had been before she died. She was different.
She wasn't Jean but she wasn't the Phoenix either. Who she was now she had no idea. She didn't mind dressing scantily. She didn't mind drinking. And she could throw a punch just like a man. She liked the new her and she knew that she was going to keep her around for awhile. The old Jean was too reserved and conservative. She took another drink of her beer and studied the man who sat close t her. He kind of reminded her of Logan. How she didn't know. But he looked like him a bit. She had to ask.
'Do you know Logan by chance?"

"I've seen you around." Victor smirked still. This girl was clueless. It was like a mouse sniffing around the mouth of a snake. It was only a matter of time before he would lash out for the kill. But what was the fun in that? Not when he could do so many other things and have that raging runt of a man come after him with claws drawn. Oh memories. It has been some time since he had the opportunity to beat Logan within an inch of his life. Though with the red head in front of him he might not have to wait until Logan's birthday.
"Logan? Wow...I haven't heard that name in awhile." Creed acted surprised as if he hadn't expected her to reach that conclusion. "Been awhile since I've seen the guy too. Guess he's still kicking isn't he? We go way back, old man is almost as old as me." That smirk returned with a bit of a playful chuckle.
Amber eyes glanced over the girl again, mostly sizing her up this time. What was he going to do with her? There were so many things rushing through his mind. Though the highest on his list was clawing up that pretty face of hers. A nice deep scratch over her cheek. Yea that'd piss the Runt off real good. Sure the wound would heal...but then it would scar and he would always be reminded of Sabretooth when Logan would look at her. Of course she would be reminded too but he didn't care about that. This was a good idea.

So he knew Logan. She took another swig from her beer. It ran down her throat and warmed her body. Although the alcohol warmed her she still got chills down her spine. Something wasn't right about this man, Victor. She had a very bad feeling about talking to him but the new her liked to flirt with dangerous guys. She positioned her body just right to show off the right angles in her frame. Why she decided to flirt with him she had no idea but she was doing it none the less.
Logan probably would have freaked out if he saw her like this. Sitting in some bar, dressed to kill, drinking whiskey, and flirting with a guy she had never met before who was probably dangerous. But Jean was dangerous as well. Her powers were unlimited and with the Phoenix behind her she could take anyone on. But she didn't know if the Phoenix was back or not but she was still powerful. She smiled her smile that she knew melted Logan's heart. She wondered what effect it would have on Victor. Her hair was pushed out of her face as she turned more towards him.
"So you do know him. I figured. Yes, he's still kicking but I haven't seen him for awhile. Probably off on one of his adventures again."

Victor shrugged a bit as he motioned for another shot of whiskey. "I can find him if I want'im." That was something Logan never seemed to managed. Victor could always find him, always track him down and always get the drop on him. Sure the runt would know he was there, but it was always a split second too late.
Once the shot glass was refilled he downed the shot in one gulp and placed it back onto the bar. What was he going to do with the red head. Certainly he had to do something, he couldn't just let this little mouse get away. The idea of leaving Logan in misery was just too good to pass up. But he had to find a way to keep her from being too suspicious of his intentions.
Was that smile supposed to be cute? He had to supress the arched brow upon his face. Was she trying to play with fire? Well he could play that game too. It would only make things easier. He leaned slightly towards her, as if wanting to make their discussion a little more private between them. "So what brings a girl like you here? Plan to get drunk and stumble home? Not exactly the best idea. Never know what lurks in the shadows."

Jean smirked a bit as he leaned in towards her. She didn't know what she was doing here really. She had just come here for a drink and now she was flirting with this man who knew Logan. What was she getting herself into? Before she would have never been this reckless. She downed the rest of her beer and ordered another one. She never drank this much either. her father would be proud. Well if he could get himself out of his stupor enough to realize he had a daughter still. As she looked upon the man and flash of what seemed to be fire flashed through her eyes. She had no idea that it had happened but Victor was sure to see it. What Jean didn't know was that the Phoenix was still there and was influencing her.
Jean got up off her bar stool and moved to the one next to Victor. She sat down and faced him. Her eyes more sultry than before. She was a different person there was no denying that. Logan wouldn't even recognize her if he came in here tonight. She crossed her leg and leg it rest up against Victor's. She could feel the muscles that were hidden underneath his pants. A wicked grin appeared on her lips as the fire continued to burn bright in her eyes. She looked him up an down. He was dangerous and she liked it. He could probably snap her in two but right now she didn't care. She turned her gaze to his face as the wicked grin still played on her red lips.
"Logan doesn't need to be troubled tonight. I'm here just looking for a good time. The mansion gets boring and doesn't quite....entertain me anymore. But you on the other hand. Well."

Victor might have been irritated that she ignored his question. But then there was that look in her eyes. Fire? Another pyro? He still wasn't feeling quite the same since he dealt with the Firefly last. Oh well, guess not everyone can have a unique power. At least that was all he really had to go off of. Given that she was from the mansion he probably should do a bit more research but, why do research when you can jump straight to the experimenting.
And she jumped before he did. Before he knew it she was sitting next to him and practically rubbing his leg with her own. And he thought he moved fast. "You think I can entertain you?" He remained hunched over the bartop slightly, arms resting there while his head turned to look at her. A smirk appeared again to match that grin of hers. "Don't know what you're getting yourself into Darlin'." Another whiskey was brought to him and this time he took it a little slower. Not because he was feeling any effects from it but because he was savoring the taste. "Might be a little too much than you can handle." He'd give her a warning sure, was only fair.

"Well, here's the question. Can you handle me?"
She smirked at him. The fire had disappeared from her eyes but it was still there under the surface. She took a long swig from her bottle of beer and turned her gaze back to Victor. He was handsome and the Phoenix liked that. She didn't really like Logan but Jean did so she dealt with it. But right now the Phoenix was in control. It was unsure on weather jean could still see what was going on or if she would have no idea the next day. But the Phoenix was out for a good time and maybe some blood along the way.
"I would love for you to entertain me. I need some excitement in my life right now. You seem dangerous and I like danger."
She rested her arms on the bar top. Her shirt was low cut and fell open slightly. She knew he would look and she was pretty much inviting him to take a bite out of her. She was living for this moment and the Phoenix was ready for some excitement. She was bore with the life in the mansion but she didn't want to come out fully just yet. She would hide behind Jean for awhile until the time was right.

That was an interesting question. Of course Victor could. If he could be burned alive...more than once...and live, he could handle a little thing like her. But Victor wasn't dumb either. He noticed the change in her demeanor, thought slight that it was. This wasn't the girl he started talking to. This wasn't the girl Logan was after. Just what kind of mutant was she?
"Perhaps I can entertain you in more ways that you think." Amber eyes trailed downward even though he made no other movements. He'd take in the view she seemed to offer to willingly. She was definitely pushing the limits of this encounter. But what was he going to do?
Suddenly with a speed that was almost inhuman, fingers and claws were woven into her hair. His grip tightened as he practically yanked her towards him. While she felt the tight grip he had, it seemed the bar didn't seem to notice the motion as too out of the ordinary. To anyone else it probably just seemed some weird biker guy and his chick getting a little too into each other. Though the bartender got a better look at the animalistic turn of Victor's eyes.
It was then, with her firmly in his grip, that he bent his head inward to take a deep inhale of her scent. It wasn't something he'd ever forget. A slight growl rumbled deep in his chest as his cheek lingered near her own. "How do you like danger now, Darlin'?"
