Pandora made a face when he mentioned English being hard. It was. Ridiculously hard. ”It is very difficult.” Even with three years of the class, she struggled to communicate sometimes. Absolutely nuts…. Usually you’d be pretty fluent in a language after three years.
She nodded when she spoke. ”First term. It just opened.” She might have been mostly oblivious to his flirting so far…. But the kissing one… That was beyond obvious. Her cheeks flushed bright red. ”I tzought you never met Greek before. ‘Ow woold you know?”
He didn’t get it…. Well, he would in a minute…. And, she felt his uncertainty when their hands touched. It only made her let go faster, the girl stuffing her hands into her pockets instantly. Her body language said just how self conscious she was about it… ”....” That blush was gone, no remnant of any previous smile.
Pandora was silent for several moments, as she tried to come up with an easy way to explain what it was... She couldn't say she just had really smooth hands after all. It wouldn't be that convincing. "Tzey are.... Scales.... I do not 'ave...." She paused, her voice faltering for a moment. "... Skin..." Her voice had gone very quiet when she admitted it.

"Sometimes it's hard even for the native speakers." James said with a laugh, thinking about the time he had traveled to Lousiana and met a group of Cajuns. Sure, they spoke English, but James had hardly been able to understand them. Not to mention he had never been able to understand the Yankee accent that well. Yeah, English was definitely not a simple language and it changed depending on where you were speaking it.
As soon as she blushed, James smirked a little, finally he had broken through that blasted language barrier. She didn't seem quite as bold as Rose was, nor did she seem like the type that would throw him against a garage wall. So now the only thing that he was curious about, was just how far he could push it...
"I haven't, but I have heard stories. I've always been curious if they were true though..." James partially asked, raising a brow slightly, and obviously suggesting something to Pandora. Surely now that the language barrier was broken and she realized that he was flirting with her, she'd get the flirtatious undertones to it all.
Now, James had seen some weird stuff before, very weird in fact. Though, he had never met a girl who had frikin scales instead of skin! However, had you James met this girl a week ago he probably would have freaked out a little bit. After what he had seen just after a few days at the mansion though, oddly enough, he wasn't that surprised, "That's... Pretty dang awesome!..." James thought for a moment, noticing how shy she had suddenly become over her strange mutation.
Slowly he took a step forward and spoke a little bit more quietly, "I like it... and I'm not as... Normal... As I look. Wanna see something freaky?"

Yeah, no kidding. Pandora had heard some of the accents English speakers had. She couldn’t pick out a single word from some accents, so she imagined native speakers would even have difficulty sometimes!
Pandora hadn’t expected someone to flirt with her during her time here. Especially to flirt like this. It left her a little flustered, to be honest, flustered and confused as to what to do. ”Storiis….” She was silent for a moment, that blush back. ”I ‘ave never heerd of tzese stories before…” Should she flirt back? Or… Could she was a better question. She probably didn’t speak English well enough to flirt….
She was mentally preparing herself for the dreaded nickname she’d picked up because of her scales. ‘Fish girl’. Most people, even other mutants, thought it was freaky to have scales instead of skin. Hell, even she hated it. It meant she couldn’t even shake a strangers hand… Sure, it acted as an almost armor, making her twice as durable then a normal person… But at what cost… ”I do not tzink so…”
A little surprised when he said he liked it, her eyes widened just a touch. Really? No one… Had ever said that before… And he even went on to say he wasn’t that normal either. ”Freaky?” She paused, her mind turning to her actual power for a moment. He wanted freaky, she could give him freaky… Not yet though. Finally, she nodded.

"You haven't?[/color]" James asked with a slightly raised brow, "Well, where I'm from, they always told me that the Europeans were some of the best lovers around... Especially the Greeks. Any truth to that?" The flirtatious undertones were stronger than ever, and he was directly calling her out to flirt back. Though, with how bad she was blushing, he wasn't sure if she would even be able to talk back...
If he wasn't mistaken, she looked fairly taken aback by James saying he liked it, almost as if that was the first time she had ever heard those words uttered. He laughed a little, "I'm serious, it's cool, soft skin is overrated anyways." He said with a slight smirk, teasing just a little but in a way that would hopefully make her feel better.
Though, when she nodded, he paused just slightly. Did he really want to do this? She would be the first person to have ever seen what was happening to him. Then again, considering she had a physical mutation as well, if anyone would understand it would be her. James hesitated slightly, before he began to pull his shirt out from being tucked in, then quickly began to unbutton it.
He immediately realize that she probably felt awkward watching him strip, "Don't worry, I'm not getting naked or anything." He said with a slight grin as he unbuttoned the last button and pulled open his shirt. What was immediately noticeable was that he was just as stout as he looked, with well defined and well formed muscles across his chest and torso (most of which had only formed in the last few days).
Though, it was what one would see on their second glance that was really strange. Streaks of pasty white skin across his chest and stomach, completely devoid of any color. Even more strange, all of the vains across his chest and stomach were as black as oil. It almost looked as if he had some sort of horrible disease, "And it's been getting worse... At least you look normal." He said with a forced grin, it was obvious that this was something that was really bothering him.

This guy.... Had finally figured out how to (heavily) flirt, even with a language barrier. The more he flirted, the redder her cheeks got. "And where I am from... Tzey always told me Americans were bigger flirts tzen tze French." Which, he'd already proven.
People who'd known about her... skin issue had tried to make her feel normal, but Pandora had always known they were pushing themselves. Like how her mother had always hesitated before touching her. How her siblings had (behind her back) called her 'fish girl', and would torment her about it. How her father, even though he wasn't a very touchy person to begin with, wouldn't even pat her shoulder if he was proud of something she did. Oh well, that was how life went. She was pretty used to it... So, obviously, to have said issue be accepted.... Literally a first.
Silent for several moments, still in shock, she finally made a sour face. "Skin is to squushy. I do not see 'ow people survive as long as tzey do." That was the on advantage.... Okay, one of two, teh second being her above average swim speed but that was besides the point! The point was, her scales acted as a body armor, which made it twice as hard to hurt this girl. Stab a normal person? Blood everywhere. Stab her? You'd dent the knife.
To say she felt awkward was an understatement. As soon as he started to remove his shirt, her whole face was redder then a tomato. Even his explanation didn't help. Or the fact that he was one of the most.... Okay, she'd actually never seen a guy that well defined. Which made it all the worse. Was he just trying to show off? Make fun of her?
She was about to get angry when.... She noticed it. pasty white skin.... And black veins that she could actually see. Now she understood what he'd meant. Glancing back at his face, she smiled. It didn't bother her at all, not in the way it bothered him, it seemed. But.... She definitely knew how he felt... "I do not tzink tzere is anytzing wrong witz you." It was only after saying that that she realized how... well, embarrassing something like that was. Would he think she was flirting or something...?
((>.< I have issues remembering to make sure I don't have two different vowels next to each other when she speaks. I keep doing it in my past posts >.<.))

"Flirts? Absolutely not..." James said with an expression that seemed as though he was appalled by what she said. He paused for a moment, thinking, "I do not flirt, I simply... Say what I see, and what I see is pretty beautiful." Another charming smile spread across his face, was he pouring it on too thick? No, James had just begun to flirt...
Though it wasn't immediately obvious, Astra seemed to be a little embarrassed at first over the fact that James had said he found her skin to be somewhat alluring. He definitely couldn't blame her for feeling that way. After all, her skin really was strange, no doubt when ever someone touched her, they probably freaked out and ran away. Add that on top of the fact that her eyes are an absolutely bizarre color, and you get a girl who is most likely more used to being rejected than accepted.
James wasn't your average person though, something that would turn other people off, turned him on. Something that everyone else would never do because it was too dangerous or that didn' have the time, James did it. So, if no one else thought this girl was attractive because of some moinor defects, well... James would, if no one else did, he would...
Her blushing seemed to be intensifying the more and more she stood by him. As he began to unbutton his shirt, it almost looked as if her head would explode. When he finally reached the last button, part of him wished he had more to unbutton just so he could see how red she would get. He expected a reaction of fear, for her to shy away with disgust but instead... She simply blushed worse and then... flirted back? Perhaps it wasn't a flirt, but gosh dang it, that's how James was going to take it.
"Well thank you, beautiful..." James said with a crooked smile, he left his shirt unbuttoned and open as he took a slight step closer to Astra, "I definitely don't see anything wrong with you either, but I see a lot of things that are right." Yes, James was getting even more bold now, moving closer and flirting harder. Then again, that was James, he didn't understand the meaning of the word "subtlety"...

Pandora opened her mouth to ask how he wasn't a flirt... When he continued. Her mouth closed, a puzzled look on her face. Okay, now, not only was she embarrassed, but she was confused. Very confused. It took her several moments to come up with a response. "What is tze difference?"
Rejection was a way of life for Pandora. She'd never been allowed to go to a public school, instead having to take online courses. She only had one or two real 'friends', and even then they weren't comfortable with her abnormalities. Strangers knew what she was with out having to talk to her. What was sad? Her family and few friends thought her skin and eyes were her entire mutation. If only they knew what she could really do... That rejection would turn to discrimination.
Seriously, this guy was a major flirt. The worst she blushed, the harder he flirted.... Which only made her blush harder, which made him flirt more... Basically, it was a never ending cycle. God dammit, this was getting unbearable! Her mouth opened in closed several times in an attempt to come up with some sort of response, any response. Nothing came to mind, her voice locked in her chest. Finally, she just blushed even worse....
And took off.
Was she running? Yes. Why? She had absolutely no idea. Pandora didn't know how to act right now, and when in doubt, take flight! Was it stupid? Probably, especially considering she took off in the opposite direction of the school and would probably get horribly lost.... again.

"A flirt tells you want you want to hear, whether true or not, I only tell the truth." James said with another charming smile, seriously, it was as if that was one of the only smiles he knew... At least around women it was, or at least, attractive women. Then again, they didn't always have to be attractive apparently. There was that one night in Houston... James still wasn't sure if that had been a man or woman that night, he was too busy running away... Back onto more pleasant topics though.
The more that James spoke, the more red the girls face was turning. Soon, he was pretty sure that all of the blood in the girls entire body was rushing to her face. Though, when he did finally stop flirting for a moment to let her respond, it wasn't exactly the response he was expecting. At first the girl looked speechless, literally trying to talk but nothing was coming out. Then she was gone... Literally, in one moment he was looking her in those strange eyes of hers, the next he was watching her cute behind trot off into the sunset.
James was left standing there, that crooked grin stuck on his face, though it slowly faded at the same speed that his right brow rose. What the... hell? He had seen a lot of reactions to his flirting in the past, some girls swooned, some girls slapped him, but never had one ever just turned tail and ran! With a soft sigh he watched her disappear in the opposite of direction of the mansion.
Eh, she'd find her way out... Though he had heard of students getting lost in the forest she was running toward for hours, if not days. Most likely rumors though, she could handle herself. Honestly, he didn't care what she did, not one bit. Nope, he didn't care about her one bit, she could get lost and die for all he cared. James was not the good guy, that had been proven too many times, right?
Slowly he grabbed a halter off the fence and stepped into the horses corral and grabbed a fast looking, grey horse. Slipping the halter on him, he jumped onto the horse bareback and rode it out of the corral in the direction that Pandora had been running. Nope, he didn't care about her one bit, that was why he was chasing after her to keep her from getting lost... in a very uncaring way...
After only a few minutes he caught up to her, the horse calmly loping up behind Pandora. James let go of the reigns, letting them rest on the horses neck, and he spun around and laid down on the horses back. His head was resting on the horses mane, his arms propped up calmly underneath his own head as a pillow, and his feet were resting on the horses butt as it loped up beside Astra.
"Great day for a jog, eh beautiful?" James asked calmly, glancing at Astra while he laid across the horses back with extreme balance, letting the horse run alongside Astra without him actually guiding it. "So uh, where ya headed? Mansions that way..." James said, raising his head a little and pointing in the opposite way that Astra was running. Obviously this wasn't his first time doing this little stunt... Funny enough, it wasn't the first time doing this stunt while chasing after a girl either...

Pandora tried to convince herself that running was a horrible idea. But… For some reason she just couldn’t stop. It was almost like her flight reaction had taken complete control of her body, to the point where she honestly had no choice in the matter. Argue as much as she likes, it didn’t change anything. She couldn’t stop.
She didn’t blame him for being a little surprised. Honestly, what girl ran away when a guy started flirting with her? Honestly, Pandora had never expected to react in such a way either! She wasn’t a ‘flirt’ but usually she would put up with it! This guy though… He was on a completely different level then everyone else. No one should be this good at flirting, it was almost inhuman. Huh… Maybe that was his power. A ridiculous knack for flirting. It’d make sense…
She didn’t get far. Pandora was a naturally fast runner, it came from her height and long legs, but she was no match for a horse. While he definitely wouldn’t have caught her on foot, he completely passed her on horse. Curses. She forgot about that. Actually, she’d forgotten about everything. Honestly, her only thoughts at the moment had been ‘holy crap, RUN!!!’ Obviously she hadn’t thought this whole thing through…
She stopped when he passed her in a very unorthodox position. He was… Actually relaxing on the horse’s back, like it was the most natural thing to do. Pandora just stared, stunned. ”Uuuuuh…..” Honestly she didn’t know what to say in response. She was still flustered beyond belief.

Astra had been absolutely right to think that his abilities at flirting were almost inhuman, many people had so before in fact. James himself began to wonder if they were part of his power after he found out he was a mutant. However, they were not, he was just very good at talking, he always had been and likely always would be. Though, it wasn't entirely for the reason that most assumed.
With the childhood that he had growing up, a person had to do something to keep themselves from going absolutely insane from being beat constantly. His brother Ethan took to reading, studying, and the training of both his mind and body. Yes, James was a stout man, but his brother Ethan was built like a brick house and had a mind to match. Whenever their father would get particularly cruel, Ethan would retreat into the weight room or disappear behind a book for days.
James on the other hand did the opposite, he started talking, joking, flirting, anything to get his mind off of what was really going on. At a very young age he learned that if you were good enough at being charming, and lying, that you could not only get everyone around you to like you and believe your lies... You could get yourself to believe them too eventually... That was all besides the point right now anyways.
A slight chuckle escaped from his lips as Astra seemed to be at a loss for words as he loped beside her, and then, she stopped... James immediately flipped around and straddled the horse again, pulling it to a sliding stop and sliding off it at the same time. The horse let out a sigh, as if annoyed at having to forced to run and then forced to stop so suddenly.
"Listen, sorry if I made you so embarrassed." James said with a slightly apologetic voice, well, as apologetic as he could make it... It still sounded flirtatious oddly enough, and that wasn't helped by the fact that he hadn't buttoned up his shirt yet...
"But you're headed the wrong way, why not get back on the horse with me, I'll take you back to the mansion and then I'll leave you alone... With only mild flirting on the way back." James said with a sheepish grin at the last part, obviously intending it as a joke... to an exent...

Pandora didn’t like him laughing at her. At all. What was so funny? Slightly irritated, she remained silent, not because she’d been stunned into it though. Because, honestly, didn’t know what she should say! This guy was a serious freak of nature when it came to flirting, even his laugh sounded flirtatious!
”….” Why did it sound like he was still flirting, WHILE apologizing?! Yup. Freak of nature. Was it possible for him not to flirt with a woman? He seemed like the type that could be accused of hitting on someone just for saying hi! The rest of what he said only made her worse. Her blushing had gone down quite a bit with her bolt for freedom. Sadly, it was back with a vengeance as he added only mildly flirt. No. No way in hell was she getting on that horse, especially if he planned on riding his little fair pony as well! ”I-I am fine walking…. Just poont me in tze right ridectoon.”
Unfair, to be honest, but it wasn’t meant as an insult. The girl was just flustered beyond believe. And being on the same horse as him would make it ten times worse!

Unfortunately, Pandora was more correct in her thinking than she probably realized. Yes, James was charming, yes, he knew he was and yes, he most definitely used it to his best abilities. Unfortunately, he had spent SO much of his time being charming that more often than not, he came off as flirting even when he didn't mean to. It had caused more than a few problems, and to be honest, more than a few black eyes and bloody noses from jealous boyfriends.
There had been times when James had been flirting with a woman and she had swooned for him. There had been times when he had been flirting with a woman and she slapped him for it. There had been times when he HADN'T been flirting with someone, and they slapped him, and just as before, there had been times when he HADN'T been flirting with someone and they came on to him strong because of it; thinking that he was flirting. Needless to say, he had seen most every reaction to his charm except for one, he had never seen anyone be freaked out because they thought he was TOO charming... Thankfully, he couldn't read her mind or he would just start laughing.
When Pandora finally spoke, and it seemed fairly forced as if she was still embarrassed, he thought for a moment. "Well, I would point you in the right direction, but unfortunately... I'm lost too now." James said all too calmly for a man who just became lost, slowly walking back over to the horse he patted her on the neck and leaned against her, "Thankfully, this horse knows the way home so..." James paused for a moment before looking back at her, "Want a ride?" It was a simple question, yet James was able to turn it far more sexual than it should've been. Sometimes he had a particularly wicked sense of humor, such as now. He knew how embarrassed he was making her, and knew he would make it even worse, but he also knew she had no choice but to come with him... Wicked... But hilarious.
