Phoenix flipped through the channels on the television in Victor's apartment. Cartoons, documentary, soap opera, news. She was sick of just sitting here and doing nothing. She had been stuck inside this small apartment for the past couple weeks. her powers were stronger than what they were before and she was almost up to Victor's level but she was still not up to her level yet and it pissed her off. At first Victor had refused to let her leave the apartment. He had said it was so he didn't have to bail her out of another incident again.
She wondered if he had different motives than that. She had seen the look in his eyes when she had been attacked by Dalacur. He had cared that she was hurt and he had protected her. Then there was that kiss. It was different than the other times he had kissed her. this one was deep and tinged with emotion and that was where it ended. It was just the kiss. There was no sex after it. All the other times he had kissed her it had been rough and demanding which always led to sex.
She stopped the television on the news and stared at it. they were talking about a new rally that was coming up in the city. It was an anti-mutant rally that was being set up by a man who was in a rather high place. She sat up when she heard the name. Graydon Creed. Her eyes flicked to the bedroom where she knew Victor was sleeping. He had a secret. She smiled as she stood up and grabbed her jacket and headed out the door. She was going to pay this Graydon a visit.
The journey was short and she was soon looking up at a tall skyscraper. Figures he would work in one of these buildings. She rolled her eyes and walked in. Every security guard she ran into she just walked right past. Her powers were strong enough to get into mere human's minds and plant something there. She took the elevator the the appropriate floor and walked up the the secretary. She looked her in the eye and told her that she had an appointment with Mr. Creed. The secretary smiled a blank smile and let her in. She walked into the office and smiled as she looked at the man sitting behind the desk. He resembled Victor in a couple of ways. he was definitely Victor's son.
"Hello there, Mr. Creed. You and I need to have a talk."

Graydon was sitting in his office, staring at a few forms that were building blocks of what he wanted to start in the world. His rally was only a small step towards the bigger goal. The goal of making mutants miserable and wish they were dead. They all deserved to die.
His concentration was broken as he heard someone talking outside of his office and then the woman barged in. He smirked as she walked up to his desk. Eyes looked her up and down, she wasn't bad looking at all.
"Do we my dear? Well then sit. I still need a date to my rally after all." He flirted with her as he invited her to 'chat' with him. While she seemed to have a bit of an attitude on her, he kind of liked that.
"Now what did you wish to discuss? I'm afraid I do not do consulting anymore. I am busy working on my presidential race." Another little push of his own ego towards the woman. He was shameless like that, but he didn't care. Then again he was already thinking of ways he could get this woman out of her clothes in the future.

Phoenix scoffed at the man. Yes this was Victor's son alright. He had the same cocky attitude as Victor did. He wasn't afraid to be blunt and honest and he wasn't afraid to try and flirt either. She sat down and crossed her long, lean legs. Her blonde hair fell around her shoulders as she looked upon the man who sat in front of her. She lifted her hand and motioned it to close the door. Her powers closed it roughly but not too rough as to cause a ruckus outside.
"I don't think I'll be going to any rally of yours anytime soon."
She thought of the many rallies around the country. Most of them were anti-mutant rallies. Those were the ones that pissed her off the most. These humans and their wasted efforts. They kept trying to make the mutants inferior to them. They were sadly mistaken in that effort. Mutants would always be superior to the humans. The weak little humans. How many had she killed in her lifetime she wondered. Too many to count that was for sure. She looked around the office. It was what she would expect from an egotistical man. Her eyes turned back to Victor's son.
"The rally is exactly what I came to talk to you about. It would be ill advised for you to continue in this matter."

Graydon's eyes widened slightly as he saw the door shut without any influence of an actual person. How the hell did a mutant get in here? He would have to fire his security that was for sure. But he quickly calmed himself and straighted his stature a bit. "I would hope you wouldn't attend it. Such a pretty face like yours would be bashed in." He smirked to her again while his hand moved to a panic button under his desk.
"And there is nothing you can do to stop that rally. Everything is in place and going according to plan. I wont allow you or any other mutant to hinder my work."
He had to admit he was rather surprised that she took such a direct approach. It was pretty gutsy to come up to his office and think that he didn't have some sort of back up plan. And if he was lucky, he had a nice piece of jewelry for her neck that would take care of those pesky powers of hers. He could make her a trophy for his campaign, an example of what he could do if given the chance. It would be glorious.

Phoenix smiled as she saw him reach for the panic button. She knew he had one. A man in his position. Who wouldn't have one? She quickly used her powers to disable the button. A simple snip of the wires would do. It was easily fixed but she wanted to make sure that their conversation was uninterrupted. This man was gutsy to mention someone bashing her face in. That would be that day! With her powers growing again she was already stronger than the common mutant. But she was still not at her best.
"Oh, but I'm not just any other mutant. No need to press that button though. It's not going to get you anywhere. An easy fix after I leave though. I thought we could talk uninterrupted. If you don't mind."
She laid her hands on her knees like a proper lady should. She was actually being professional for once. There were certain ways to deal with men like him and she knew every way there was. She wasn't blind. She had seen the way that his eyes had widened when she had closed the door. He had been surprised that a mutant had gotten into his office. It wasn't that hard actually.
"Now let's see what we can do about you rethinking your absurd decision about this rally of yours."

What? Did she really say that? He sneered slightly as his muscles tensed a little. "Absurd? You have no idea why we do these rallies do you? People like you need to be controlled. You have these powers that you can't do anything but be destructive and you expect the world to feel safe around you? Even now you prove my point. What do you plan to do to stop me? It doesn't matter what happens to me, the rally will go on. Other rallies will go on. It wont stop. So stop while you're ahead and get out of my office."
His eyes looked at her sternly. It was practically the same predatory look his father had, but he didn't know that. He didn't want to know he was anything like his father after all.
"So I give you one last chance. Leave this office or you can try to do whatever it is that your plan was. But you should remember that you would only be creating a martyr." He was bold and determined not to show any sort of fear infront of her. If she wanted to push his buttons, he'd push right back.

"Martyr? Is that what you think you are? You're nothing more than another pathetic human to me. And to the other humans out there you are nothing more than a face. No one is going to remember what you're doing now. Not if I have my way."
Phoenix studied the man. He gave her a stern look and she smiled as she instantly thought of Victor. He really did resemble him and it wasn't just in the looks department. His attitude was like Victor as well. He wasn't about to give up without a fight either. Plus his ego was just as big. She leaned back. She wasn't about to leave just yet. She would convince him one way or another. if not she would have fun annoying him.
"And yes it is absurd. You can't control us. When you find a way there will always be a different mutant who can stop you. We're here to stay and you humans need to learn your place. Evolution has taken its course and we are the outcome."
She strongly believed in the evolutionary chain of things. In history it was proven. Things evolved to better survive their environment and this time it was mutants that were the result of it. Now the humans needed to learn who was superior. She wouldn't have it any other way.
"You know. You remind me of your father quite a lot."

Graydon visibly tensed to the mentioning of his father. He even sneered before he spoke to her again. "I am nothing like that man. He is a murderous beast and deserves to die like the rest of you." He wasn't going to sugar coat it for her after all. Not that Graydon was innocent of murder himself, but he was only pushed towards it as a last resort. He didn't go around doing it just for fun. He was a decent man that just wanted to protect the world from the mutants that would bring it down into a apocalyptic turmoil. Instead Graydon was up to far more devious underhanded things, like those collars and his little prison camp.
"Hmph, evolution. Humans will evolve not into monstrosities, but our technology. We will stop you and everyone like you. So quit while you are ahead."
He sat back in his chair, regaining his composure and cold stare towards her. He just wanted her to leave really.
"Get out of my office." He remained cold and stern in that order. Silently he hoped she would follow it...as well as realizing he really needed a back up plan to his backup plan.

"Why? the fun is just starting."
Phoenix smiled as she looked upon the man in front of her. He had guts to just tell her to leave like that and to speak to her in such a manor. She chuckled as she pictured Victor there instead. he would have said the same thing but made it more violent. She leaned back and watched as the stapler lifted itself off of the table and turned to face Graydon. She contemplated on what to do with it. She wouldn't kill him. No she would leave that to someone else. But it made her smile at the possible ways she could kill him. If only she knew how helpless he really was at this moment. True she was still weaker than she normally would have been but she was still more powerful than he would ever be.
She tapped her chin with her finger as she pushed Graydon against the wall with her powers. She held him there and then made the stapler float in front of his face. She was tempted to just end his life right there but she held it back. She knew it would only cause more problems she didn't really need right now. She made the stapler staple his clothes to the wall and hold him there. With her powers she could make the staples go farther in the wall and really hold him. She then pulled up a letter opener that was laying precariously on his desk and floated it in front of his eye.
"Now you are going to cancel this rally. Unless you want this permanently embedded into your eye socket."

"Fun? Hmph..."
He flitched as he felt the chair slam against the wall and then the staples were rather disconcerting. Of course the envelope opener was nice icing on the cake. While he was brutal with the law and was able to convince the best of people to kneel before him in submission. But this woman was obviously different.
He sneered in her direction, "Fine...I'll cancel it." He had no real intention of doing so but he'd say it if it'd shut her up and make her leave his office.
He nodded towards the phone on his desk. "Let me go and I can make the call. It will never happen." The contempt in his face wasn't even bothered to be hidden from her. He definitely would have to have the security in his office increased.
And even if he really did cancel the rally, that wasn't going to stop another one starting. There was no stopping the anti-mutant movement. Especially while he was still alive. He would make sure these mutants paid for what liberties they took from the common human being. It wasn't right and they had to pay for it.

Phoenix frowned as she heard him give in. This was too easy. If he really was Victor's son he would have fought back more. For him to give in so easily was concerning to her. Yes, he may say that he was going to stop the rally but was he really that daft to think that she would believe him? She wanted to make him squirm and actually mean it. She wanted to make him fear the mutants. It was only a matter of time before she would make he humans slaves. She was intent on that and nothing would stop her especially this man in front of her.
"So easily convinced. Your father would have put up a bigger fight. Shows who's more of man now doesn't it?"
She inched the letter opener closer to his eye until it was so close a breeze could push it through. She smiled at him and dropped the opener back on the desk as she stood up. She walked towards him a little and contemplated on if she should leave him there or not.
"You're a smart man. Figure out how to get out yourself. You'll be seeing me again."
Phoenix turned and walked out of his office. She was sure he wasn't going to cancel it but her threat was there. He wouldn't forget her anytime soon she knew that. She sauntered out of the building and back to her car. The drive was short as she made her way back to Victor's apartment. She walked up the stairs and through the door as she made her way to the fridge for a beer. Her eyes fell on Victor sitting there. She smiled at him.
"how come you never told me you had a son?"

Where the hell was that woman? Figures she'd disappear in his sleep. Not that he really cared....a lot. She'd either come back or she wouldn't. What did it really matter? Women came and went...whatever. He sniffed the air curiously, her scent was still lingering through the livingroom as he walked through it himself. She hadn't been gone for too long. He shrugged those massive shoulders of his and just wandered into the kitchen for something... He hadn't quite decided what it was that he wanted yet.
Eventually he settled for a simple beer and wandered back into the livingroom to sit and watch Tv. He was wearing only a pair of sweat pants as he opened that beer with a mere push of his thumb against the cap. The beer fuzzed slightly and then Victor took a few gulps from it. The news...he hated it. There was nothing but humans bantering about stupid things. A war? That wasn't a war. He had been apart of wars that were far greater than that. Then again that was another era entirely and the weaponry was far more...personal. Now-a-days they had the robots doing most of the work...pathetic.
He heard Phoenix walk in and barely even tilted his head to look at her, except of course to watch her walk into the kitchen. Muscles twitched when he heard her mention his son. "Because it isn't yer business." Then he smelled it, that faint scent mingled with her own. She had met the little weasle?

"He reminds me of you in a lot of ways. Very...arrogant."
Phoenix smirked at Victor as she walked into the living room. She wondered if it bugged him that she had seen Graydon. The way he said it was not of her business made her think that they weren't on very good terms. Well she had come to that conclusion when she had seen Graydon's reaction to her mentioning that he reminded her of Victor.
"He seems misguided with this whole 'anti-mutant' thing. I gave him a few things to think about though. he gives up way too easily it seems."
Her eyes scanned over Victor's body as he lounged on the couch with a beer in his hand. She sort of liked coming home to this. Wait...did she just call this place home? What was wrong with her? She had never truly had a home before and she never really wanted one. She liked to bounce from place to place. Not staying in one place very long. But now as she looked upon Victor she thought about how long she had stayed here. She could leave whenever she wanted. She would leave....maybe.

Oh how was he going to deal with this? Images of ripping her into bloody pieces in a fit of rage flashed through his mind. Probably a good thing that his mind wasn't so easily read. But for some reason he actually tried to control the rage that was building within him. Normally he could care less if one of the women he had ended up dead on his floor...
"Misguided? He's a human and needs to die with the rest of 'em." He took a few last gulps of his beer before the glass cracked in the grip of his hand. He was obviously irritated but for some reason the rage was being held in rather well.
Did she really think that he'd be attached to a man like that? Even as his son? Hell he didn't even want the brat to begin with. Mystique had tricked him, not that he really cared. The wench wanted a kid, and he got laid, big deal. Though it was irritating that the produce of those nights was that..thing that dared to call himself a man. He wasn't surprised when she said that he gave up. But he also knew that Graydon never really gave up.
And that thought made him laugh a bit. He chuckled that dark laugh for a moment before he stood up and walked into the kitchen to throw away the beer bottle before he broke it in his hand. "Graydon may back down but he doesn't give up."
He walked right up to her and grabbed her hand, and placed it on his side, above his hip but below his ribs. "The bastard managed to get a bomb put in me. Had to rip it out with my claws." He stared into her eyes and only then could she probably see the fury that was build within them.

Phoenix listened to him talk about Graydon. She chuckled as she heard his disdain for him. She figured as much. He was only a human after all as Victor put it. And she agreed with him that he deserved to die. Almost all humans did and the ones that were to survive were only good as slaves and pleasure. Her eyes looked at the broken broken bottle in his hand. He didn't seem like himself right now. She wondered what was wrong...no, she didn't care. Did she?
She watched him carry the bottle off into the kitchen to throw it away. Her mind wandered back to Graydon. How could something like that come out of such a powerful man? She could only wonder. She was surprised when Victor showed up so sudden in front of her and took her hand in his. It was immediately placed on his body just above his hip. She marveled at the muscles she felt under his skin. She looked up at him as he mentioned a bomb. He had had to rip it out of his own body. How had Graydon even succeeded in getting a bomb in? Then her eyes saw the fury in his. An image of her hand flying to his face and her comforting him flashed through her mind. She quickly pushed it back. That wasn't her. She wouldn't do that. She just smirked at him.
"Have I upset you?"
