"Never said you couldn't Darlin'." Victor downed the shot he had left for himself then poured another. Once she drank hers he poured one for her as well.
He knew she could take care of herself, he had witnessed that first hand only an hour or so ago. The man had deserved to get decked and so he did. After all he had been encroaching upon territory where he didn't belong. The problem with that though was thinking that way. This whole thing was silly. It seemed that he was growing attached to the spirit of the woman while he could have gave a damn what happened to the body that was Jean Grey. He already left his permanent mark to piss Logan off and had vague ideas of killing her eventually.
But for now he was having a little too much fun with this Phoenix woman. The last woman he knew that came even close to her sadistic manner was Mystique. At least with Phoenix he knew what he was getting into for the most part. Mystique changed the game so many times it was hard to keep up, nor was it worth it. Not to mention the fact that she used him to bare a son who ended up being worthless anyway.
Victor downed another shot of whiskey and re-poured it once again.

Phoenix downed two more shots of the whiskey in front of them. She knew it wouldn't effect her for awhile. It took a lot to get this force drunk. Mostly she only got drunk off of power but whoever said that was a bad thing? She loved power and she was determined to get as powerful as she could. But first she needed to figure out how to lock Jean away for good or get a new body. She had heard stories of people transferring their minds into another body and she was sure she could do it. It was just the matter of finding a body that was worth her living in for a period of time.
Jean's body was too fragile. She needed one that could handle all the power she had to offer. Plus even though Phoenix could make this body look good she wanted something more. Jean was too mousy and common. She needed something that would turn heads when she walked into the room.
"I hate this body."
She downed one more shot and looked at herself in the mirror behind the bar. The red hair flowed down her shoulders and her clothes hugged her athletic body in all the right ways but it just wasn't enough. She looked at all the scratches that were starting to heal and those were the only plus she could think of with this body. And how mad Logan was going to be once he found out his sweet little Jeanie was sleeping with his enemy.

Victor half wanted to tell her that he hated her body too. There was just something about Jean's body that was missing. She just didn't match up to what the Phoenix was. At least what he thought the Phoenix was. He barely knew the woman after all. They just seemed to have a few things in common. Like mayhem, blood and pain.
"Get another one?" Sure he had no idea if it was more complicated than that. He was just giving up an idea. It made sense to him as he downed another shot of whiskey and poured another.
Though he would admit only to himself that the idea of having a new body to claw up. But then that idea came with its own baggage. Did he really just think about that? The idea of sticking around with this woman even though her body wouldn't be connected with the torment of Logan any longer. Perhaps he has been spending too much time with this woman. Yet he hadn't minded spending that time with her. It just worked.
The liquid in that whiskey bottle was quickly disappearing between the shots for both of them...
Victor could drink practically forever before feeling it, he wondered how long it would take her.

"Its not as simple as that. First I would need to find a body that I would even consider to join with."
She downed another shot. Her mind wandered through the many bodies she had seen since she started coming out. None of them had even come close to what she wanted or needed. She needed someone who would catch attention in a crowded room. No one had done that recently. She sighed and poured herself another shot. This was the first time she had even remotely close to looking defeated. She was stuck in this body. It didn't fit right for her personality. Nothing fit right anymore. Nothing but Victor that was.
She looked over at him out of the corner of her eye and studied him. He had been the only solid thing in her life right now that she even considered keeping around. She liked him and he could keep up with her. She hadn't found anyone who could do that. This was a first for her. She was dealing with feelings she never thought she would have to deal with in her entire life. She was used to one night stands. But this man was doing something to her. Not making her soft but it felt like he made her stronger. He pushed her to be more powerful. She liked it.

"Seems to me that you might just be a little picky." He chuckled a little and shrugged his shoulders. "'Course I wouldn't have picked the red head, its hard to keep control over something that doesn't have remotely the same ideals as you do. And if you do change bodies...will that change your own powers?" That last question was more out of curiousity than anything. He knew a few mutant women that had devestating powers and with the increase from Phoenix...well he could only imagine the destruction.
Ideas of mass mayhem spread through his mind. He should really work on that. But so far the Brotherhood was still in shambles. The only way they would truly be effective was if they came together as a team. Even he would admit that it would be hard to get a bunch of 'villains' to cooperate. Hell, half of them he probably would kill just for looking at him strange anyway.
First thing was first he supposed. Victor finished off the last of that whiskey and glanced over Jean to see if any of the whiskey was taking effect upon that body. He was tempted to buy another few rounds but if she was done then he wouldn't really bother. Not like he would get drunk anytime soon.

"I would never have picked her. I had no choice in the matter."
She downed her last shot and looked at the empty bottle in front of them. She wasn't even close to feeling the effects of the strong drink. Her powers subdued it from getting her drunk until she had a lot more than just one bottle. It would take more like ten or more bottles before she even felt it. She smoothed her hands over her thin legs. This body wasn't bad but she still didn't like it.
"It depends on what power the body has. It could intensify it or it could just snuff it out. Depends on the power level of the mutant. They have to be able to handle my power as well."
She waved the bartender down for another bottle. She needed to start feeling this. She wanted to get this defeated feeling out of her head. She was stronger than this. She didn't want to look weak in front of Victor. In front of anyone really. But Victor was a different story now. She was getting attached. She looked him over again. It helped that he was very handsome as well.

Victor didn't look at her as he watched the bartender bring them another bottle over. He listened to the bartender tell them that they had too much already and waved him off a bit. "Mind yer own business." A little snarl to match the show of his claws with the point of his canine teeth had the bartender back up a bit. He'd leave them alone..at least for now.
His eyes glanced around to the other side of him while he leaned upon that bar. It seemed the bar was getting a little tense now that it seemed the pair was intent on staying for another 'round'. The man that Victor had decked had already crawled himself away and probably started to create this tension. But for the time being he ignored it.
"Don't you have access to that mind machine." Victor's hand went up to his temple as if that explained it all before he poured both of them a shot from that new bottle. "Cerebro was it? You could find anyone you wanted that way." He'd be surprised if she hadn't thought of it before, but two minds were always better than one.

"Its still not that simple. I'm sure I could sneak in there but then my cover would be blown. You are the only one who knows that I'm back."
Phoenix downed another shot and gave the bartender a look as he walked away. She had visions of his blood on her hands. Of his skin hanging from the walls and light fixtures. A snarl crossed her lips as she thought of killing everyone in this place just for the fun of it. Her hands itched at the thought. She poured herself another glass instead.
Then she realized that her and Victor were actually having a conversation and she didn't want to kill him. She didn't mind that he was talking to her. And even if it didn't end with sex she was sure she still wouldn't mind. She poured them each another shot and as quickly as she poured it it was down her throat. She brushed her hair behind her ears and turned her head towards Victor. She wondered what his story was. Why he hated Logan so much. There had to be a reason.
"So tell me. Why do you hate Logan so much?"

Apparently Phoenix wasn't as daring as Victor figured she would be. He couldn't blame her he supposed. It took a lot of guts to go into the middle of 'enemy' territory and stir the proverbial pot. Of course Victor was always up for stirring, but usually would rather break it completely.
Victor twitched a little when she asked that question. Somethings were just not a safe topic to talk about. And one of them was the relationship Victor had with Logan.
Why did he hate Logan? "I wouldn't call it hate. We're the oldest friends someone could ever have." A slight smirk came to his lips as he downed another shot of whiskey. "Problem is, he hides from who he is and I just keep trying to get him to come to grips with it. It's been decades but he still whimpers and whines. He's an animal just like I am." Those amber eyes turned to look over at Phoenix. "Except I accept the animal in me. He doesn't. He'll never rest one moment in his life until he realizes that its simply inevitable. Either that or he can bottle it all up and explode and kill more people he cares about." He shrugged a bit. "Makes no never mind to me." Another shot was chucked back down his throat. He still considered Logan a comrade, he really did. They just didn't see the world the same way. And being the type of man Victor was, it was either his way or the high way. So Logan got the high way....alot.

"People just need to accept who they really are. I love the animal in you. You're not afraid to really hurt me unlike some of the other men I've been with."
Phoenix downed another shot. It felt good to just relax and have a conversation with someone who didn't annoy her to the point of murder. She crossed her long legs and noticed some rips in her jeans. Jean would be wondering where they came from. That and all the blood stains she got on her clothes. It made her smile at the thought of her confusion and fear.
Jean wasn't stupid. She had to have thought about Phoenix being back. that was the only reason for her blackouts. Phoenix shook her hair out and smiled at the thought of finally being free from this body. A thought crossed her mind of finding a body that would please not only her but Victor as well. It was a thought she would be sure to revisit. But it didn't really matter if it pleased him or not. If she wanted him again she would just take him willing or not. She was more powerful than him after all.

"Be careful what you wish for Darlin'." Victor turned his head to look at her with a fang revealing smirk. He had to admit he liked the 'animal' in her as well. Though hers was far more sultry and sophisticated than his own. And in all honesty she hasn't met the real animal yet. She has only really met the human. The real animal was far more fierce and primal, people rarely survived an encounter with him.
Victor's shoulder muscles tensed as he suddenly felt a little claustrophobic. And he quickly understood why as the smell of men and beer consumed him. The biker's friends had finally gathered their guts for some payback. "I hope you have some insurance on this place." He half mentioned to the bartender before he reached back and grabbed one of the men by the throat. The movement was so fast, the man didn't even know he was grabbed until Victor had thrown him over the bar.
In one smooth movement Victor was on his feet, turned his back to the bar and already had his claws in the gut of another man. A simple clawing of such sensitive skin spilled blood and entrails all over the floor before he himself fell. Feral eyes turned up to look at the other men that started to loose their nerve all of the sudden. "What? Never been in a fight with a cat before?" He snarled at them as his posture hunched slightly as if he'd pounce any of them at any second. "Come on. Who's next? I haven't spilled nearly enough guts today." His posture straighted and he held his hand out then gestured them to come at him with those bloodied clawed fingers. Two of the three that were left bolted. Victor snarled again, never turn your back on a predator... He took a moment to grab the man that didn't run and yank him towards Phoenix so she could have a little fun at least if she wanted. Then he was off, chasing down the two men with a grin. The chase was only half the fun.

Phoenix watched Victor with a smile. The scent of blood and fear filled her nose. The guts fell on the floor with a squishing sound and only made her smile even wider. She watched the man in front of her. The animal was more like it. He wasn't a man anymore right now. He was pure animal and she loved it.
She needed to find a different body and fast. This scrawny little body was not up to her standards but she couldn't find anyone she would like to take over. No one was ever good enough for her. It made her angry and she hated being angry. She saw the man Victor had thrown towards her. The man looked at her with fear in his eyes. He knew she was like Victor. Who wouldn't be if they were with him? He turned and tried to run but she struck out with her force and stopped him dead in his tracks.
"Where do you think you're going? We're only just starting our fun."
She lifted the man off of the floor and held him there as she sent waves of pain throughout his body. She was attacking his nervous system. The man screamed in agony which made her smile again. She laughed as cuts appeared on the man's skin. The skin was breaking apart and deteriorating. Blood dripped on the floor around his feet as she continued to work at the man's skin and sanity. He was going mad with pain and she was loving it. She looked out of the corner of her eyes to see Victor with the two men who had run. She was going to keep him around for awhile. She had finally made her decision. He was Hers.
