Victor blinked as she smacked his hand. Not that he wasn't used to her hitting him in some manner it just had suprised him when it came to this. Though a sinister smirk crossed his lips as she mentioned that 'it' would be for later. He could only imagine what it could be. Victor rose his hands up as if he was surrendering to her. "Hey...I can be careful." That smirk remained as he looked her over once more, "Can't be blamed for my impatience. Hard to resist." He winked towards her in his attempt to flatter her.
He took a moment to walk away from her to toss his towel back into the bathroom. "Perhaps you should get out of the garment quicker if you really want it to be unharmed." He turned to look at her again with that smirk. His claws were sharp and it was hard to deny the ease of access with just one swipe of them. She was just lucky he was skilled enough to cut her clothes and not her. Not that he didn't cut her ever...that just came later.

"Why do you think I shop so much? Living with you I lose more clothes a day than I do in a year! What would you like me to do? Walk around naked?"
It was true he tore the clothes off of her more and more and she constantly had to restock her wardrobe. She didn't mind it really. Yes the ripping of her clothes irritated her but she liked the shopping. She liked buying new things that made her feel good. She wandered back to what she had just asked him as she sighed. She already knew the answer he would give her. She looked up at him.
"Don't answer that."
She grabbed the bag he had been toying and walked over to a drawer she had been using for some of her clothes. Hardly any of them fit in that drawer but she had enough room for this little piece of clothing, if you could call it that. She left it in the bag and just put the whole bag in the drawer saving it for later.
"Perhaps you should be more careful. I spend good money on these things! And you go and destroy it in a matter of seconds."
Her eyes turned to him as she walked back over to the bed and started to unpack her many articles of clothing from the bags she had accumulated on her day out. She sighed and looked down at her stomach as she held a pair of shorts up she had bout. She really didn't know why she had bought them. In little time her stomach would be growing and she knew she wouldn't be able to fit into anything she just bought.

He was all too ready to answer that question until she had told him not to. She was being touchy today. And about clothes of all things? He had plenty of money himself and could easily afford her clothes buy habit. Why was she being so uppity about it now?
"Like I said, get out of em faster." He could say that he would be careful and he basically already did. But he wasn't going to continue to assume that he would do such a thing. His claws were too easy to use and too tempting.
He watched as she unpacked the other clothes. He was impressed on her sense of style really. She always managed to find the clothes that fit her body just perfectly. And as she looked down at her stomach his mind wandered to how she would look when her stomach swelled with their child. That thought alone still surprised him. Why was he still here, more importantly why was she? Normally he would have severed any ties he had with the woman, if not severing her very life himself. But here he was, putting up with her switches in moods and thinking about what that thing inside of her would be like when it was born.

The blonde hispanic woman threw the shorts back into the bag and then threw the bag into the corner. She would return them later and never buy them again. She sighed as she gave up unpacking the clothes. Her hands picked up a small bag she had almost forgotten she had bought. It wasn't that big really but inside laid something soft. Her hands reached in and pulled out a purple teddy bear. She didn't know why she had bought it but at the time the only thing she could think of of that maybe the baby would like it once it was born. She stared at the bear and held its soft body in her hands just thinking.
"Boy or girl?"
Her mood had changed once again. Now it was that of a nurturing mother. Her mind was on baby clothes, toys, and lullabies. She was still the fierce, evil woman but now she was more like a lioness mothering her cub. In privacy the lioness will care for the cub with all the love in the world but when confronted it will tear it's opponent's throat out without thinking twice about it.
Phoenix knew what she wanted but now she was wondering what Victor wanted. Would he want a son to carry n his name? Graydon didn't really count. Or did he was a daughter? He tried to play it off like he didn't care but Phoenix had been watching him and she saw the subtle changes in him even if he didn't see them yet she did. She continued to stare at the teddy bear as she thought of how this was going to actually work. This was going t be one interesting family that was for sure.

Boy or girl? Well at least she was off of the clothes problem. But now she opened up a whole new can of worms. What did he care what it was? He still couldn't even see himself as any kind of 'father' figure. He didn't have the best role model for that job. But he was giving it a shot, at least as close to one as he could muster.
"It doesn't really matter. Whatever it is." He didn't care. A son would be interesting, a daughter even more so. He could barely deal with the woman infront of him and how could he deal with two of them? Curiousity had spurred him on all the while. Could this really work out? Could they manage to raise a child that could bring the world to their knees where they had failed? And had he denounced himself to failure? There were questions in his head that he couldn't answer and it frustrated him.
"Does it matter to you?"

Phoenix thought about it for a little bit. She thought she had known what she had wanted. A daughter to carry on in her footsteps if she was ever taken from this world. But the more she thought about it the more she had the idea of a son with the same animalistic instincts as his father. But her mind still strayed to that of a daughter. Phoenix would raise her to hate the humans and to be just as evil and manipulative as she herself was. She also knew that the child would have an animal inside of them that would spur them on. She didn't look up at Victor as he spoke.
"Not particularly. But I would like a daughter. A daughter with the same animalistic instincts as her father. And with the powers she is sure to get from me....the humans won't stand a chance."
She thought on it more and all she could see was blood and fire. But it still amused her that she was actually going through with this. If this had happened any other time she would have ripped the thing out of her and left it at that. But not this child. This was Victor's child. This was the child of the man who had released her and tamed her a bit at the same time.
It aggravated her that it didn't matter to him, though. Why didn't it matter to him? Did she even matter to him? Or was he just staying to torment her? He probably would do that if he had the chance. Her aggravation grew little by little as her eyes snapped up at him.
"It should matter to you. This is your child after all."

He smirked as she spoke about the baby and how it could make the humans nonexistant. The possibility of that was great and the warefare of it all would be glorious. The way she spoke almost made him look forward to it all. There was just the problem of getting from now to then.
He knew that look that was suddenly shot towards him. That smirk faded slightly as he moved over to her. He went in closer until he was standing next to her. His hand moved over to rest over her stomach in an attempt to calm her down. "Why should it matter what our child is?" His voice was soft and deep almost like a growl but also in way like a purr. He was actually attempting to calm her down. "What matters is that it will be healthy...boy or girl. Okay?" He did care it seemed..in some instinctual way he did care whether his child would be okay or not. Either gender would be perfectly fine with him...

Her eyes watched him as he walked towards her. The were narrowed slightly as she was still aggravated. He drove her crazy sometimes. He made her want to rip his throat out and then it angered her even more to know that he would just heal if she tried. She almost snarled at him as he neared her. Almost like a starving dog protecting it's food. But her snarl stopped as she felt his hand on her stomach. Her breath almost caught in her throat as she looked down at his hand, puzzled. He hadn't done this since their first day at his cabin and even then she had placed his hand there.
Her ears perked up as he started to speak close to her ear. Her body calmed somewhat from his words. Our child. It was not just her's anymore it was theirs. She smiled as he spoke of it being healthy and that was all that mattered. It suddenly dawned on her that he did care. He cared about this child and he cared about her. Her heart beat a little bit faster as she turned to look at him. Her hand laying over top his on her stomach. She pushed herself up on her tiptoes as he was taller than her and kissed him gently.
"Alright. Thank you, Victor."

He returned that kiss softly, an odd thing for them really. Such a gentle embrace with eachother was strange but somehow he liked it. His hand moved up to brush the back of his fingers along her cheek. She thanked him..for what? Did she really feel that alone in all of this? She ought to expect a bit of aloofness from him. He wasn't used to thinking this way, of thinking about more than just himself. It was weird. But he was here for her and if anyone dared to touch her...well they had better kill him first...that was all he could suggest.
"We started this together...might as well end it that way." He smirked to her in a playful manner while he remained close to her. He pulled her a little closer to him, still keeping his one hand at her stomach. He knew he was acting differently and even thinking differently. But he supposed that change was inevitable to everyone. He was still the animal and the murderous beast but now he had something to protect...someones actually.

She allowed herself to be pulled closer to him. His body pressing against his and his large hand still upon her stomach. She wasn't that far along so her stomach wasn't really showing. Although it did have a slight bulge to it now rather than the smooth and flawless line it used to be. She knew soon enough she would probably not be able to see her feet and she was dreading it. She didn't want to get fat. She feared that Victor would lose interest in her after that but his words still calmed her as he said that they were in this together until the end. It made her smile. A genuine smile. Phoenix didn't smile often but when she did her face lit up and her beauty shined through. She wrapped her arms around his waist. Her cheek pressing against his naked chest as she inhaled his scent.
"How far we have come and how much we have changed. Who would have thought that we would still be together and now bringing a child into this world?"
Sometimes Phoenix didn't even recognize herself anymore. This was not her. This was not the woman he had first met in Jean's body in that bar so long ago. In all reality it wasn't that long ago really. That kind of surprised her. It wasn't that long ago but it felt like it. It felt like it had been years ago. That she had been with Victor for so long but it hadn't been so. She loved him though and she knew that she would stay with him and if anything tried to hurt him or separate them she would tear the world and all it's inhabitants apart to get back to him.
"I still find it hard to believe we haven't killed each other by now."

Victor listened to her words. He supposed that she was right. Who would have thought that? They were animals, him more so than her. And here they were holding each other and getting all sentimental about themselves and the child. The idea of it made him cringe but still stood there attempting to be supportive in this situation. And why was he doing that exactly? What was making him stay here and put up with all of this? What was going on in his head? Or maybe it wasn't his head at all. Maybe his actual soul was getting in the way.
Hm...Victor Creed with a soul...who would have thought?
"Might still happen." He turned his head down to look at her with a playful smirk. Sure they were all cute and cuddly now, but that didn't mean it would last. Each of them had a short fuse that was just waiting to burn to the end of the line and explode. It was just a matter of time and consequence. And who would do it first? Neither of them really knew. It would happen in a split second and possibly cause irrepriable damage. They may just have this child together but would they remain that way? Victor assumed inwardly that he would be the one to screw this up. A chance at happiness...at least the textbook version of happiness, just wasn't meant for him. Monsters didn't have happy endings...

Phoenix looked at him for a second and thought about it. Maybe it would happen. Maybe it would happen before the baby was born with all of her mood swings. She knew Victor had a short fuse and there was only so much he would take before he snapped. She only wished that her powers would snap back in so she could protect herself and the baby because she knew he wouldn't stop until she was dead. Yes she would be back but the baby wouldn't and when she came back she would make sure he paid for it. She would tear him limb from limb and then rip his head off before he could heal.
She huffed at him as she thought about it. Her irritation rising again. No it wasn't the irritation this time. Phoenix let go of him and ran to the bathroom to expel the contents of her stomach. She thought that she was over this. It hadn't happened in a couple weeks and she was beginning to have a normal appetite. She had been eating normally and she was doing better...until today. She stood up and brushed her teeth as she kicked the cabinet, cracking the door.
"Damnit!"
She was getting sick of this really fast and she was only about a month and a half along. She still have seven and a half more months to go and if this kept up she would not be a happy camper at all and she knew Victor would snap. Her head hurt and her stomach rolled. Her throat was raw. Only a matter of minutes ago they had been all cute and cuddly and sentimental. Now she was pissed. She stood in the doorway and stared at him.
"What the hell did you do to me? It feels like I'm dying!"

Victor snarled slightly to her sudden accusatory tone. "You had every involvement in the whole thing, don't pin it all on me." That sneer faded slightly as he folded his arms over his large chest. "And dying really? You're being a drama queen." He had no idea what she was going through, that was true. He had never been sick in his life. That healing factor of his got rid of anything before it hit his system. He only assumed that the actual childbirth would make her feel like she was dying more than she does now. He thought that he would mention his option again but decided against that. It wasn't going to help the situation at all, it would only make it worse.
"Maybe you should do some research. I doubt it'll get any easier." If she was really going to be stubborn enough to keep the child she might as well know what was going to happen to her. Instinct only got you so far but furthr knowledge at least prepard you for it.

A growl escaped from her lips as they turned up in a snarl. Yes, she had had a part in it but he was the one who had been irresponsible. He was the one who had impregnated her. At least that was what she was telling herself. She needed someone to blame and it was just too easy to blame Victor. He was there and right in her line of rage. She glared at him as he spoke.
"How the hell would you know how I'm feeling right now? You try eating when everything makes you nauseous and then throwing up every damned day! But no! You have your damned healing factor that never lets you get sick."
She envied his healing factor at times and this was one of those times. If she had that then maybe she wouldn't be getting sick. She wouldn't feel nauseated everytime she looked at food. Every smell made her stomach churn. She craved weird things. Oh how she just wanted some pickles right now. She felt like she could eat a whole jar of pickles right now. She continued to glare at Victor as he stood there all nonchalantly.
"Research? Hmph...you're the one who usually does the research. Do we have any pickles?"
Phoenix walked over to the small fridge he had in the corner and opened the door looking for pickles. She just wanted some pickles for crying out loud. Her search came up empty and she slammed the door frustrated.
"Of all the things you don't have freakin pickles!"

Victor looked at her for a long moment without making any sort of movement or noise for that matter. He just stared at her as if he couldn't believe how worked up she was getting. Was this really necessary? "There's always the main kitchen." He gestured towards the door while he spoke finally.
If she wanted to be this way he wasn't going to feed the fire. And he wasn't going to research her 'problem' either. There were animals and people that had children everyday without that much information...if she was going to be that stubborn then that was up to her. He had better things to do than to serve her all day.
He stood there and just watched her have her little fit. Part of him thought about leaving that room then and letting her deal with her little tantrum alone but instead he decided to stay there, like a stoic statue with his arms still over his chest. He was growing tired of her attitude but what else was new? She knew how to push his buttons and he was surprised that she had yet to push them too far. At least far enough that he would do something about it. Lately it seemed even his usual boundies of tolerance had changed when it inolved her.
