[Alucard Nightshade]

Alucard sat in one of the chairs of the living room. He had a feel about him that would intimidate most people away, even though he didn't show any signs something being wrong on his face. He was extremely annoyed though, and there was only one way to get him this angry, some random teacher decided to check his room for a missing library book and wouldn't allow him into his room or let him take any book out of it before he was forced to leave before he could say anything in protest. He was bookless and in a room that normally would be full of people, but only a handful remained after he had come in. The few students who remained kept glancing at him and looked like they were ready to bolt at any minute.

Alucard looked around after some time of sitting there in his own thoughts when he saw a newspaper. He picked it up and looked at it. He had picked up the latest issue of the Mutant Times, the school newspaper, and had started to read it. Most of it was about the upcoming Summer Festival and about what some of the more popular students had done while they were away from the school when he came to the gossip section. He read it over and his earlier annoyance got even worse. There was a piece about him in there were he was made out to be a vampire and a menace to the school, which didn't bug him much. What had gotten his attention though was how someone had gone out of their way to look him up and now everyone in the school knew he was a Nightshade. He also noticed he was mentioned in another piece and they said he had apparently fallen in love with the Pink Sheep he had just meet not long ago. He didn't know why anyone would think he had, perhaps because he had approached her, but he also didn't know why people would believe this kind of mindless gossip. Although if it were the sheep, he wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Alex walked out of the kitchen she had just finished eating her lunch witch only consisted of a banana and a granola bar. She walked in to the living room to see that not many people where there but she did notice one person.

Alex ran up to the chair Alucard was sitting placing each of her hands on the arms of the chairs leaning in a little “Hiii!! So whats up long time no see,” she giggled a little “so anyway anything fun an entertaining going on O you going to Summer fest I thinks it going to be lots of fun if you are it be fun to see if we meet up sometime during it”

Alex smiled at Alucard not getting any sort of vibe form him that he was upset he just kind of looked tried or something Alex hoped that she could make his day a little bit she liked seeing people smile. The fact that he was reading the mutant time made her think a bit she didn’t like reading the mutant times anymore ever seence she found out that someone had wrighten about her and Night so she didn’t read it anymore so she had no idea what the rumors where in this paper this time .

Alucard was very annoyed by someone having done something completely pointless as to write these kinds of things. He was actually mad though that someone took the time to find out his last name. It had to have been an annoying and difficult time finding it out, unless one of the teachers just happened to tell the student. He didn't know why and couldn't understand why someone would go out of their way to find his last name.

Alucard was still reading the paper and still trying to figure out why someone would look up his last name, when the pink lamb run up and started talking to him. He glanced at her for a moment before going back to reading the paper. He had talked to her once not long ago at the pool, but that hadn't been productive or worth the time to actually talk to her. She hadn't listened to him, as far as he saw it, and he had no intention of giving her the same chance he had given her then. He was just going to do what he always did when someone rudely interrupted him while he was reading, he was ignoring the fact she had said anything or was even there.

Alex looked at Alucard when he didn’t talk to her and stepped back a little giving him some room she looked at him why wasn’t he talking to her she had herd that he was not the most talkative person at school but really all she said was Hi and he didn’t even say Hi back just looked at her for a second and then went back to his paper.

Alex sighed “Did I do something wrong”

Alex didn’t think he’d talk to her so she moved and sat in a near by chair and pop her feet up looking at Alucard. Before she found a another paper and picked it up and started reading the storys that was tell she found her name in there again…really did people really have nothing better to do then to slip into her personal life and talk about. Her and Luke hadn’t even dated and…Alucard….did he really like her. Alex looked up at Alucard form the paper he couldn’t yea they talked and all but…is that why he didn’t want her to date Luke is that why he wasn’t talking to her now was cause he had told her not to and she was going ahead and doing it… “I’m sorry” she burled out suddenly looking at Alucard.

Alucard didn't pay much attention to the pink lamb as she moved away from him and asked if she had done something wrong. Saying she had or hadn't done something wrong would all depend on your views and understanding of what happened at the pool, which for Alucard it meant she had. He wasn't going to give her any of the trust he had then and he was just going to treat her like he have in the first place. He wasn't being mean or spiteful to her, it was more like if this were a game then she had dropped her relationship points with Alucard down to zero and had to restart from scratch. She moved over to a chair not far from him and seemed to have found a paper as well. She started to read it just as he had finished his paper. He was annoyed by the lack of substance and material in it to read.

As Alucard put his paper down and looked around for something else to read, the pink lamb suddenly said she was sorry. He glanced over at her. He normally would have ignored her again, but the mixture of annoyance and the lack of something to read prompted him to engage her.

" What are you sorry about pink lamb?" Alucard asked her as he continued to look for a book so he could ignore her once more.

He had ignored her like she expected but then he asked what she was sorry about and used that odd nick name again she put that paper down and looked at him her eyes pleading that he’d forgive her.

“is it true what the…paper said do you like me…and are you mad about me going out with Luke cause we did talk about it…we said we where just going to get to know eachother before anything big happened so are dates really casual…just a get to know you date so you where right I was jumping ahead but that doesn’t mean that we going to be an thing you know…So please don’t be mad at me I’ll do what ever it takes to make up for it.”

She looked at him, her eyes still pleading for forgiveness she didn’t like it when people where angry at her and didn’t talk to her someone not talking to her or shunning her was the worst thing they could do to her and lately with all the rumors going around it seemed like everyone was doing that she just thought that Alucard was different “I promise I’ll do anything to make it up for you”

Alucard was still looking for something to read, when the pink lamb suddenly started talking to him. He was thinking he might shouldn't have started to talk to her. He wasn't planning on saying anything else to her, but then she asked if he liked her and if that was why he was mad at her and not talking to her. He wasn't sure what to say to her or why she would think that at all. He noticed the paper in her hands and knew why she was saying all of this, that gossip section that the sheep were so fond of. He was about to say something when she asked what she could do to make him forgive her and that she would do anything. He just looked at her for a moment.

" I am not mad at you, I treat everyone like this. You want to know if I like you? How could I like you? We don't know each other at all. And you are getting yourself into something bigger then you think you are by going on this 'casual' date with him." Alucard said to her in a voice edged by the annoyance he felt, not at her but at the events of the day. " If you want to know what it is, then why not tell me if you would have considered the same with another person you did not know who approached you. Someone like me for example."{

When he said she was getting herself into something bigger with this casual date she could hear the annoyance in his voice he was annoyed at her.

“So what if it goes to something bigger, and why do you care like you said we don’t know each other so why would someone who doesn’t know me care about if I was going on a date with the wrong guy” she sung her legs a little and looked at him her arms in her lap.

When he said if she’d considered the same with another person she didn’t know she looked down at her hands and twisted her thumbs a little “umm yea I mean it just a date and that’s how I live life I jump in to things all the time, yea it hurts me sometimes but then that’s how I’ve meet some wonderful people so whats so wrong with saying yes to one date I’m takeing this as slow as I can as a person it not like me to take things slow”

She didn’t understand why he thought this was wrong or what annoyed him about it she was glad sort of that he didn’t like her but then he didn’t show any signs of even wanting to be friends with her.

Alucard looked at her and listened to what she had to say in reply. She seemed to be trying to figure him out, but she seemed unsure as well as to what she say him as. He wasn't sure of himself either. He normally never tried to get involved with others and tended to just leave them to their own devices unless he had some part in it himself for some reason or another. He wasn't doing that with her though. Why was he doing this? He wondered about it himself, and he knew the answer. He didn't like the fact he was doing it for the reason he realized, but there was no changing that he was. He might as well tell her since he had nothing else he could say in reply and he had never been one for lying for no reason.

" Why do I care you ask? Well it is because of who you are. You have all those rumors about you floating making you out to be some kind of woman of the night so your being isolated by the sheep. That might not be as big of an issue if it wasn't for the fact that the people you had spent most of your time with here are gone for one reason or another, so your feeling isolated and alone. This is effecting you greatly and now you really need friends and are doing your best to find new ones even though most of the sheep here won't come around you. Also, the fact you see going on a date with a guy you don't know as taking things slowly doesn't help with the rumors about you at all." Alucard said to her as he looked her directly in the eyes. " How do you expect me to know all of that and see it happening in front of me and not do something? You are having a hard enough time as it is, so I just thought you could just some help to make things better. Although, it does not seem like you want my help."

Alex looked at him she didn’t see his logic “and what am I to do about the roomers if I make a big deal about them and try to shush up everyone, they will all think I’m hiding something like I have some sort of man cave where I keep all my men and chain you guys all up in there for my pleasure at night, that I am some sort of prostitute I’m just hoping that this will past it hast to some day.”

Alex almost wanted to start yelling at him when he talked about the friends that she use to have “there gone because they where heroes they help fight against Cain and I should have been there when it happened for them its not my fault there gone and all this happened and its life we lose people all the time. The death that surrounds this place isn’t small Faith, Rose, Tim, Ian, other students who have been caught in cross fires if I can’t handle losing a friend hear and there and not being able to pick myself back up again I shouldn’t be hear now should I. If you didn’t notice this school homes the X-men who risk there lifes for others with every mission that they go on.”

She looked at him in the eyes he said that just dating someone was going to fast “then what am I going to do cancel on Luke, tell him we won’t meet up, I already told you this is how I move I move fast I make friend fast its not like I’m trying to do anything I wouldn’t do normally”

When he said that she could use some help to make things better yet it didn’t seem like she wanted his help she was token back “who ever said I didn’t want your help, it be nice to have anyone’s help but your not acting like you want to help anyone”

Alucard had reached the point to were he was now annoyed at the pink lamb as well. The last of the students who had stayed in the room had taken off because they thought that Alucard was about to snap and they didn't want to be in the room to get caught up in it. He was annoyed, but he wasn't that close to being annoyed enough to lash out in violence. He had worked on controlling his tempter as much as he could and not lash out at things because much of his family would do that if they were even slightly angry. He didn't care if others did that or that his family did, he just didn't want to end up hurting himself or end up doing something he would regret later. He was annoyed at the pink lamb though. She was sitting there trying to act tougher then Alucard knew she was and she was lashing out at him. She may or may not have realized it herself though, but Alucard had and it annoyed him when people weren't honest with themselves.

" I suggest you quiet down NOW pink lamb." Alucard said to her as he showed his annoyance with her. " You will listen to everything I have to say to you without commenting and you will think about it or so help me I will see to it that you are not able to sit down tomorrow without wincing. Am I clear?"

Alucard waited for her to reply with either a nod or a yes. He would give her a look that showed with out a doubt he was going to go through with his threat if she tried to protest or say something other then yes.

" First off, never and I mean NEVER mention what happened to my cousin Rose in front of me. You lost friends to everything, but you can easily make more. I lost one of my very few friends and one of my family that I actually felt close with when Rose died. I did not mention your friends dying because I didn't want to offend you, but it seems I don't have to be picky with what I say to you. Your friends died, they died for a noble cause, and you need to face that fact and stop hiding from how you feel already. I saw the sadness and loneliness in your eyes the other day at the pool and the other times I had been near you and noticed you as well. I have seen how you try to put on a cheerful face in front of others, but are sad when you think your all alone. You aren't happy, but you either don't realize how sad you are or you are trying to hide it from both yourself and others. I wanted to help you deal with that sadness, but when I tell you about that you tell me it doesn't seem like I want to help anyone? The fact I approached you and talked to you, even what I am doing right now, shows how much I do want to help you! I have shown you the respect and trust that I only offer to those I see as a friend and you take it and shove it back in my face. Am I annoyed right now? Of course I am! I have been doing things differently with you then I would have with others, but you don't notice or even care about that. Your hiding from yourself and trying to put on a mask in front of others and that annoys me. I'm not telling you to try to stop the rumors and shush them up, I'm just telling you to watch what you do so they die down. Your being watched by the mindless sheep right now and you keep doing things that entertain them. I was suggesting that you just slow down until they find something else because otherwise the rumors about you won't stop and you will continue to be stuck in this cycle of sadness and isolation, but if you live your life so fast and so carelessly without regard for those who get caught up in this with you then go ahead on the path you are on right now. I was just trying to help you out, but it is your choice which path you follow. I simply wished to help you get out of that sadness and loneliness so you wouldn't end up somewhere you did not wish to be, but you can not even recognize my help when I try to lend it to you. Say what you will now, for it may be the last time I EVER show you this much respect and trust again."

Alex stood there and lessoned to him not making a sound taking in what he was saying the best she could did he say Rose was his cousin he seemed upset that she had even said her name did he even know what happened that day and the edvents that moved to it Alex wasn’t going to say anything more about rose because seeing already how mad he was Alex did not want him madder at her. It wasn’t that she was scared that he’d make it so she was in pain he showed that he was willing to she just didn’t like people being mad at her.

“You may of lost your friend there but did it ever acore to you that it may not be so easy for me to make friends even before all this started you may think you know me you may say I’m putting on a mask and hiding my true feeling but think about your self you hid to not talking to people not I read what there saying about you in the other one that you’re a a vampire thing or something and you only talk to your pray how do you think not talking to anyones for alonger amount of time is going to stop them your hot news as well.”

Alex paused for a second she was trying to pick her words carefully but it wasn’t working out so well for her “ And I’m trying to get out of that sadness and loneliness and I don’t understand how you saying be someone your not is going to get me out of that.”

Alucard heard Alex's reply to him. She had gotten very defensive and wasn't about to listen to him. He was annoyed, but that didn't mean he wouldn't notice when someone was acting out of her sadness and loneliness. He was starting to get tired of how this always seemed to happen with her. He could tell that talking wasn't going to get either of them anywhere at the moment. He was too annoyed by resent events and she was getting defensive. He might as well try something really quick to calm him self, and hopefully her as well.

Alucard sighed and stood up. He walked over to one of the pool tables and picked up a pool cue. He began to get all the balls out and ready.

" Do you want to play a round of pool with me pink lamb, or do you want to just sit over there in that chair?" Alucard asked her as he finished getting everything ready for a game. " I'm very annoyed right now. Not with you, but with other things. I need to calm down a moment and you might as well join me."

Alucard waited for Alex to get up and join him at the pool table. He handed her the pool cue he had earlier and grabbed a new one for himself. He broke for them and managed to sink a solid ball with it. They played the game until they were both down to their last ball left before the 8 ball. It was Alex's turn now and Alucard had managed to calm down quiet a bit.

" I want to make something clear with you right now. I don't wear a mask in front of others. I treat everyone the same way at first. I also could careless what the sheep say or think about me. I don't care if they spread a rumor I'm the greatest man alive or if I am Dracula himself in their silly gossip." Alucard said to her. " Also, when your around me I want you to act how you are feeling. If your sad and lonely, be sad and lonely. If your happy and talkative, be happy and talkative. I will listen to whatever you have to say, so long as you don't wear that mask when you say it. I am going to be honest with you, so it is only fair if your honest with me. How does that sound to you pink lamb?"

Alex went and played poll with him it was a really quite game for her she’d normally would have been talking the hole time but he didn’t want to talk, he was still calling her pink lamb witch she felt was odd she wasn’t even in pink today and the fact that he called everyone else a mindless sheep didn’t really make sense to her if everyone else was a sheep how was calling her pink lamb different.

When he spoke Alex looked up at him “I was happy when I saw you at first” she sighed “then you had to get mad at me” Alex bent down and hit the ball it barely missing the hole she sighed again but this time she just shrugged o well that how the game went.

Alex looked up at Alucard “I’ll be real with you but you got to understand I try to be happy most the time its funner to be happy then it is to be sad I’ve always had a hard time expressing other emotions”

Alex stood there for a moment before she looked at Alucard again “do you mind if I ask you a question if your not annoyed with me then what are you annoyed with or who did something happen”.

Alucard lined up his shot and hit the cue ball. It hit his ball and then went and hit Alex's ball and made them both go into a hole. It was pretty obvious that he had aimed to do that, and it was now her turn since he put a ball that wasn't his into a hole. He had heard her talk to him and ask him that question. He wasn't so sure how he should answer that since he didn't really feel like mentioning he was a nightshade, but that ship had already sailed. He waited for her to notice it was her turn to go. She seemed more focused on him then on their game. He didn't care about that, but he also wanted to get another game going soon.

" I'm not mad at you and I haven't gotten mad at you. I might have gotten annoyed earlier, but that was mostly because I was already annoyed and emotions build on each other. I want you to act how you feel around me though, even if it isn't funner for you. It is fine to cry or be sad around me since I'll be there for you and just expression them however you want to. Some people I know need to be hugged and held when they are sad, some like to be alone or in silence, some like to talk about what it is that makes them sad. You just do what you feel like doing and I'll do my best to do what you want. As to what was annoying me, it was several things. I'm not allowed into my room right now and I can't get a book out of there because some teacher assumes that when a book goes missing I must be the one who took it. The other thing is that someone went out of their way to find out my last name. You can look in the gossip section and see what it is, but it was something I didn't want others to know about. That is what I was so annoyed about." Alucard said to her. " Also, it is your turn to go."
