Tristan had only been waiting in the darkness for a short period of time, shorter than he expected actually, when he heard a set of soft footsteps echoing down the alley. Watching from the darkness he saw his little thief walking straight in without any hesitation, that was admittedly a little surprising. She really did care about this necklace as much as he wanted his ring. When she stopped at the edge of the darkness, right where the light from outside the alley couldn't pierce, he smiled.
"Please, speak a little slower, my Russian isn't that good." The smooth voice echoed out of the darkness, followed by a short chuckle, "If you said vhat I think though, I just have one thing to say to you." There was absolute silence after that, in fact, there was a period of silence that was almost too long.
The slight crunch of dirt from footsteps echoed from the darkness, and a shadowy figure approached the girl. After a moment of walking, the figure stepped out of the darkness, revealing dark hair, piercing blue eyes and a crooked smile. Tristan stood there for a moment, his hands raised in the air awkwardly as he smiled at the girl. He took a sudden sharp step forward, as if being pushed, and got closer to the girl when a second figure stepped out of the darkness. It was another man, wearing a black hoodie that covered his face, and in his hand was a gun.
"Get over there by your girlfriend!" The man said roughly, pointing the gun at both Tristan and the girl.
"She's cute certainly, but she's not my girlfriend. I doubt she could handle me enough to be that." Tristan said with a smirk, taking his place beside the girl (though with more than an arms length distance between them) before he turned and faced the robber.
Soon, shadows appeared on the ground, coming from the opening of the alley. Tristan glanced behind him to see two men standing in front of the alley exit with their arms folded. It looked like this robber was more gang oriented than Tristan though.
Tristan leaned over slightly and spoke quiet enough that only Claire could hear, "Looks like not everyone in this city is as... Subtle, as us, no? I hope they aren't friends of yours."
"SHUT UP! Now be good little boys and girls and just stand still while my associate relieves you of all your worldy burdens." While the man was eloquent, no doubt, he could've just said 'Let the man rob you" and saved them all from the boredom of his speech.
"I'm not a very good little boy... Are you a good little girl?" This time Tristan spoke in Russian, giving a slight wink at the girl. A wink that almost suggested that they, dare he even think it, work together here.
