MECH frowned to check his new Holo-image in another store window. Just as with the last twenty time's he'd stopped to check, there was nothing wrong. He couldn't help being nervous about it though. Not only was it a new Image, but he'd been brazen enough to make it look like himself, albeit with 'human' coloring. Didn't want to scare the normals after all. He pulled his PDA out as he continued walking. The site hadn't updated yet, so he had to assume what he was looking for was still available. The fact that the store was a little hole-in-the-wall, Mom & Pop place made him nervous as well. Something about the limited space in case a fight broke out. Of course, the chance to get his hands on a MISB G1- Jetfire was worth it, even if it was a trap by the Lab. Now, if the GPS was right, the shop should be... right... there. He spotted it across the street, crammed in between some sort of clothing boutique and some fancy little cafe. He check the traffic, before darting across the street, ignoring a cabi who hocked his horn, cursed him, and shot him the bird, all at once. New York was such a cheerful town. He hurried up to the door to the shop, pausing only when it refused to open. He jingled the handle a few more times before he spotted the sign in the window. 'Out of Business' "Damn it....."

Sam walked down the streets of New York a pile of books in his hand that he had “bought” from a store and in the other he had a cup of coffee from the café he was just walking out of the café when he saw a guy trying to open the door next door Sam smirked the store had been out of business for weeks and chouldn’t he read the big old sign that said in plane English OUT OF BUSINESS. Gold star for the guy for smarts.
Sam moved to sit on top a bench that was in front of the Café sipping his coffee a book in his hand Sam opened the book and started reading it the book was called “the lost hero” it was about gods and that type of stuff Sam just picked it up because he had read the other books by the author and they where o.k.
The jingling of the handle drove Sam nuts finally when the guy said Damit Sam slammed his book shut “Do you mind the sign says its closed are you and idiot or do you have to just sit there and try to open it” Sam narrowed his eyes and the idiot it was one thing to walk up and realize it was out of business it was another to sit there and try to open the door for 5 minines and not read the big ass sign in the front.

MECH turned from glaring at the sign to glaring at the Jack-Ass sitting outside of the cafe. It wasn't the words, so much that he wasn't used to being on the receiving end of such blatant sarcasm. He was more used to dealing it out himself.
He took at look at the book the stranger was reading, before grinning.
"So, you gotten to the part yet where Jason finds out Thalia is his older sister and that Jupiter is his Roman God Father? Or that Hera made him switch places with Percy, so the poor guy is stuck in the middle of Roman Half-Blood camp? Fun times."
He turned around then, walking off. There were at least a dozen other stores he had on his list to check out. Maybe there was still a chance to find something to make this trip worthwhile.
If nothing else, a stop over in China-Town would make the trip worthwhile. A fresh box of Pocky would certainly perk him up. Hell, Pocky made everything better.
He pulled out his PDA, pulling up the location of the next store. Looked like... five blocks to the north.
Lovely, more time outside along the fleshbags. This was turning out to be such a spectacular day.

Sam glared at the guy as he spoke he did not just give out spoilers to the book Sam was only a few pages into the book he had just gotten it of corse he hadn’t found out any of that he didn’t even know who some of those people where or if they where in the book.
Sam watched the man as he checked his PDA he couldn’t of been much older then Samuel and there was a skinny little kid that looked like he really didn’t get out much anyway he should no better not to ruin a book for someone who already pissed off. Sam stood up setting his books to the side and walked over the guy.
“You really didn’t just spoil the book did you”
around them it started to look like it was turning dark, and it appeared that some of the monsters form the Rick Rioradan books where standing around the guy. “You need to know who not to mess with my friend some of us have friends that can come at any time we want” Now Eric was the only one that could see them but that didn’t matter the illusions where clear and very life like very little detail was missed if any.

MECH would probably congratulate himself later for not screaming like a little girl once the monsters appeared. It was a close call though.
"Oh God, you're one of them!"
He looked around, but there were way too many people, cars, and monsters for him to change into something really effective.
"I'm not going back!"
A small moment of clarity, and ran an alley back across the street, shifting into a RC car as he did so. He zipped between the tires of the oblivious cars as he made his dash for the hopeful safety of the alley.
He knew this Holo was a bad idea. But no, he just had to be egotistical about it, and shove it in the faces of those assholes from the lab. And now he was paying for it.
But how? He'd been monitoring all the local communication's for just this thing. How had they sneaked up on him?
he jumped the curve and went flying to the alley, pumping out as much speed as his currently tiny little rubber wheels could give him.
I knew I should have made one of VonDroth's mooks do this for me. Why else keep the humans on the payroll.
"Now I'm gonna die!!!!!!!"

Sam laughed when the guy freeked out but what he was not expecting was for him to turn into a little car and run away, When he said you’re one of them Sam tough he ment Mutant but then when he used his power sam blinked he was a mutant to so why was he running form Sam.
Sam watched as the poor guy took off as fast as his wheels would take him walked over and picked up his books and then slightly jogged just so he was still in range to use his power on the guy, making the monsters fallow him appear like they where turning over cars and destroying the city just to get to the kid.
Sam found the ally that the boy was hiding in and stepped in making his voice echo using his power. “And where do you not want to go again I seemed to miss that part. There was a very evil smile on Sam face and him making the illusion of it appearing darker probably only would make the kid freak out more and of corse the “monsters” that where looking at him like he was some sort of chew toy. Yet sam was having fun picking on the poor boy.

Oh God, they were still chasing him. And that Lab guy was leading them!
Not good, so not good. He never should have left Germany today. Or ever for that matter. It was safe in Germany, down in his underground laboratory where he could tinker in peace. Not to mention all the chocolate he could inhale....
Now though, now he was going to be murdered in the middle of New York City, far from any possible help. All because one of the Lab people had gotten lucky and spotted him..
Wait. What if it wasn't luck? Maybe the whole thing had been a trap. There never was a Mint Jetfire. Just an elaborate ruse to get him here and alone!
Well, he wasn't going to just sit here and wait for the end, no way. Not when he could do down in a blaze of glory killing monsters!
Shifting back to normal, and putting on his 'game' face, MECH shifted again to a form he'd picked up weeks ago but had never had a chance to try out after modifying it.
Standing there in his Faux Ironman armor with it's jet-black paint job, and modified plasma cannons, he suddenly felt much better.
He'd have to send a fruit basket or something to Stark later if he lived through this.
The energy feeds cycled to life on the cannons as he took aim at the nearest of them.
"Time to die monsters!"

Sam stood there as the kid looked like he was going to pee is pants or something o this was far to much fun he should do this more often why didn’t he again….o yea max….he didn’t have to know.
Sam made his eyes appear to be glowing deep red maybe it wasn’t wise for Sam to be draining his power so much he didn’t want a head ache but the kids reaction to nothing was funny. The kid suddenly looked like a black version of Iron Man “What the F***” Sam steped back a bit the monsters still inching towards the kid as he attacked them.
The cannon going right threw them and damaging the walls around the two Sam looked at the kid and blinked where did that power come from Sam steeped just out side the ally but making it appear that he was still there with the monsters instead Sam was going to watch the kid destroy the town. After it went threw the first few Sam had it so when the beams hit the monsters would disappear for a second and then come back. When ever a monster got close enough to the kid where it could touch him Sam would have it go threw the kid making him fells the chills you get when you enter a cold room. Sam loved the fact that he could mess with all the snence not just one of them it made life more fun.

These abominations weren't just monsters. They were GHOST monsters!
Wait a minute...
He actually stopped shooting as he processed this.
If they were monster, then yes, they posed a threat. But if they were ghosts...
Another ghost monster passed through him, causing another chilling sensation. Which was just plain weird since he had no body to chill in this form.
Quickly becoming annoyed with the whole mess, and his mind finally starting to function again, he decided to focus on the fleshbag who started this. Especially since he hadn't seen any backup arrive.
He must be on his own. Maybe he had just gotten lucky and stumbled upon MECH. Better to take care of him now, before backup did arrive.
He decided the best course of action would be to simple stomp him into a bloody smear. Not to mention satisfying after embarrassing him like this.
He shifted his body again, this time becoming one of the fifteen foot skeletal robots VonDroth had asked him to build for practicing with.
"OK, fun time is officially over bastard."
He lumbered over to where Sam's image was still mocking him, and raised his foot to start stomping him.
He was surprised, though not by much when his foot didn't come back up covered in bloody chunks.
"This is officially the weirdest day ever...."

Sam wondered how much more he could mess with this kids head he looked around to see if there was anything that could help him tell he found some sprinklers o he was so mess more with this kid, he already stated it was the weirdest day ever so maybe he could drive him even more insane and freak him out.
All at once the “monsters” and the other Sam moved threw the kid making the rushing chills hit him again then the formed into a large cheaters behind that you couldn’t really tell what it was but it was dark and very demotic looking there was a large roar and then actual “spit” moved from its mouth landing on Eric. He would have been able to feel the wetness of the spit as it moved down his body If the kid would attack the monster he’d feel it, the smell form it was a lot like a the smell of rotting flesh after five days in the sun the teeth of looked like swords the monsters breath was warm like a flame if this didn’t make the kid think it was real he wasn’t sure what it would take.
Sam smirked, if ghost didn’t send this kid running then maybe if he could feel the “monster” No one spoiled books for him Sam New his head was going to kill after this and only hoped and he was sure it was going to be worth it.

Jenny tugged a little on the hem of her trim little navy-blue jacket--one of the ridiculously large amount of new outfits that Von Droth had bought her in order for her to work as his secretary. It went well with the ivory silk blouse and narrow-cut white knee-length skirt she wore with it. She wasn't normally one for dressing up like this, but a job was a job. It was certainly better than anything she could have hoped to get on her own.
Jenny had been at it for a few months now. Though extremely confusing at first, she was slowly starting to get the hang of things. Especially the somewhat odd mannerisms and quirks of her two 'bosses.' Victor was the easier of the two. Fairly straight-forward and very honest--if a bit of a horndog--though she'd come to consider him a dear friend. Eric, as always, was another matter.
He still remained standoffish and distant, no matter how much she tried to smooth things over or get to know him better. As if he were purposefully throwing up a wall in her face to keep her from it. Which only maddened her curiosity even more. It was to this end she was currently trying to seek him out. A few papers that needed signing were the perfect excuse. Unfortunately, even though he was supposed to be in the building, she couldn't find him anywhere.
After checking in the usual spots, she paused to consider just outside of the elevator. "Hm . . . maybe his lab?" Eric didn't like it at all that she'd figured out how to get into his 'secret lab.' He'd thrown a pretty big fit the last time she'd popped in. Jenny bit her lip. Should she? Well, maybe she'd just check to make sure he was even there first.
The precog took a deep breath to center herself, then closed her eyes and concentrated on Eric. A moment later she came back to herself with a jerk and a startled cry.
Eric was in danger!
Heart hammering, Jenny knew she couldn't get to him in time to help, and she couldn't do anything to help him even if she could. She was no warrior. But Victor was.
The girl rushed onto the elevator and slammed her hand onto the button that would take her to his floor. The ride up seemed to take an eternity. Once the doors finally opened she kicked off her heels, hitched up her restrictive skirt and pelted full-out down the hallway ignoring the startled stares of the other secretaries as she did so. She literally almost fell through Victor's office doorway--the sudden surprise she gave him causing the teetering tower of post-it pads to topple over.
"Victor, it's Eric!" she half-yelped, half-gasped, eyes wide and wild. "H-he's somewere in N-New York City, and he's being attacked by--by something, I-I don't know what, but he's in danger! You have to go help him!"

Victor Vondroth sighed heavily staring at the remains of his four foot post-it pad tower. A cup of coffee sat steaming on his desk, along with a few stacks of papers and a cop show playing on the 42' flat screen on the wall.
Damn, MECH's gotta ruin it...again.
The German nodded knowingly, over the past few months he's learned to trust Jenny's instincts, if she said it, she meant it. Especially when it comes to 'Eric's' well being-probably the only person on this earth that could get away with calling MECH that. He stood up and motioned toward the door, she turned to close the doors as he drained the last of the warm coffee in one gulp.
He paged the secretary outside his office with a touch on the keypad on his desk. "Ashley, I would like to not be disturbed for awhile. Please hold all my calls." he said promptly. She confirmed a moment later as he was reaching into his desk to remove his cell phone and stuffing it into his pocket, a moment later he heard the door shut.
Vic smirked and rounded his desk not taking his eyes off Jenny, judging her by her demeanor she was freaked out, eyes moving steadily, as if trying to read or seeing something that no one else could. He gave her a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry Jenny." Vic said confidently. "MECH be fine. You have my word." she lifted her eyes to meet his for a moment just as he disappeared and reappeared in new York, specifically one of his many storage and hiding holes. Pulling out his phone he called MECH up, 3 rings into the call he knew something was wrong. Canceling the call Vic went through his options, keying up the application MECH designed, specifically the one that would find local police bands and the modulating frequency that Shield uses.
Don't ask, the kids good, the techno mambo jumbo gives me a headache. Especially when he talks a mile a minute.
According to the local PD the downtown district was being trashed by a giant rampaging robot and SWAT was on the way, and to make matters worse, Shield was dispatching units to the scene as well. Dammit all, if he wasn't holding back and making that big of a mess something spooked him. Alright, extraction it is.
The German man's eyes shut as he absorbed energy from the dark room, covering his clothing in darkness, it moved across him like liquid till covered him from head to toe, finally settling into a cloak and cowl of pure darkness. In his right hand appeared a scythe it appeared liquid at first till eventually it hardened, appearing to be carved ornate and wicked.
Shadowfang smirked from within the folds of his cowl. Time to scare this shit out of someone.

Luckily, MECH couldn't smell in this form, but the fact it was drooling on him now was enough to send him back into Paranoiaville, Population: 1.
He changed the arms of the robot to bigger Plasma Cannons than he'd had in the Faux Ironman form. He aimed them at the array of rather daunting teeth, and start blasting, as he carefully stepped backwards into the street.
He didn't want to hurt anyone after all, just kill the giant, freaky ghost monster that asshole of a Lab guy had summoned from whatever nightmare fueled dimension it called home.
Some part of his brain fractured off at that point, intent on seeing if he could locate his own nightmare dimension so he could have his own freaky ghost monster pets.
The rest of his mind, the part that was worrying about when the guy's reinforcements were going to show, tried to think up something that would at least hurt this thing. So far, his Plasma bolts weren't doing much more than exploding innocent buildings. Which would be rather hard to explain, if he didn't have a giant ghost monster corpse to show as proof.
Besides, he still had a good five minutes before a Shield response unit would arrive. At best guess anyway. He really didn't have enough focus at the moment to make a frequency scanner to check.
"I so hate this city. Definitely sending Vic's mooks to do my shopping from now on. Stupid New York and it's rampaging giant monsters....."

Sam was laughing at the kid as he stepped out of the ally blasting the monster with each shot the kid took it would look like it damage the monster but then heal its self quickly.
Sam made him self comtrubul leaning him self on a wall on the other side of the street he didn’t worry about cops showing up because all they would see is some mutant freaking out and attacking the city and if sam played with him more he’d get more then just this ally destroyed when he was done also the guy was starting to cause a crowd of people to panic o good by the time the cops sould up Sam would be lost in a crowd of people.
The monster fallowed the guy out of the ally it drawing closer and closer, Sam did wonder who Vic was but it didn’t matter it wasn’t like he was going to come help the kid right now. Sam made it appear that there where 2 more monsters on earither side of him looking just like the first one but larger because it did not have to fit in the little ally way. Sam made his voice echo around Eric “Whats wrong scared, maybe you need to luren how to pick your fights”

Victor stared down at the scene before him, crouching down remaining out of site of prying eyes. MECH doing his best to destroy random buildings or shooting at something he can see but I couldn't...personally going from column A and B. All the while a Asian guy was staring at him, barely breaking eye contact and taunting him. He shook his head with disgust. "What the hell did he do to piss this guy off?" He thought to himself. "Eh, whatever, guess we should end this now." checking the police and Shield radio bands, great, they where getting closer, just what we need.
With a casual flick of his thumb he closed the phone and dropped it into his pocket, the living darkness suit opened up for a moment to allow him to stick the phone into his pocket. He stood up and disappeared only to reappear behind the Asian teen, he had dropped the scythe for a slender bladed knife bout foot and half in length and pressed the tender flesh just above the Adam's apple against his neck, hard enough to get his point but not puncture flesh. In the same motion grabbed him from behind and pinned his arm behind his back by his wrist, painful enough for him to let out a hiss of pain and discomfort.
His lips where inches from his ear as he spoke. "Enough boy, you've had your fun. Drop the psychic assault on my friend and leave or I'll open your neck up for the world to see." his voice came out at a deadly low growl. " Its your choice, I would rather not kill a fellow mutant and I'm sure he asked for it, but enough is enough. Do. NOT. Tempt me. Cause in the end, its your life."
