Wow, she actually sounded truthful, a quick gander at MECH said different in his eyes, rolling his own he shook his head, wiping up a tiny bit of grease on the side of his lip and taking a healthy sip of his chocolate shake. While he was drinking he eyed Jenny, taking her all in and trying to size her up. No way this girl could be working for 'them' hell my last gift to them should be testament to that.
MECH looked like he wanted to jump out a window, he didn't trust her, and he thinks the holo's hide his emotions. HA, wrong, he's got a crush on the girl. They grow up so fast...anyway, to be honest there seemed to be holes in her story, but, she honestly seemed lost and just as confused as they both where. So with that he sat his burger down and wiped his fingers and mouth and stood up suddenly.
"Alright, I've made my decision." He pointed at the her and smirked. "Your hired. Welcome to Von Droth Chocolates Ms. Spence, you will be my newest secretary, handling phones, paper work, you know secretary work for our." he cleared his throat. "Private projects, which leaves me distracted for...other things that need my attention." He eyed Jenny up and down, humming to himself and tapping chin. "Oh by the way, since you 'got to' stay close to MECH, I'm sure he wouldn't mind going with you tomorrow while you pick out new cloths. Not that what your wearing isn't lovely, you must look the part in this corporate world."
He opened his arms wide in a business like showing off. "Welcome aboard." he grinned wide, this was gonna be fun.

The rage finally snapped.
He didn't, quite, recall getting up out of his chair. Nor did he remember picking it up. There was a vague memory of throwing it straight at Victor however.
"Have you lost your Gods-damned German mind? I have things to do. Projects to work on, Land to grab out from under drunk sheep! And you want me to go clothes shopping!?"
He stopped himself from throwing anything else, but the impulse was still there. He was also doing his best not to look towards the girl.
True, she was responsible for this entire mess. But she wasn't responsible for Von Droth's insanity. He wasn't even sure if he could blame that on the Lab.
Though, if they chose some blues and grays, they would nicely compliment her eyes...
GAH!
What the hell was he thinking. This was wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong!
It didn't matter whether or not a rich sapphire blue would make her eyes shine, or hot she'd look in a nice power suit.
BAH!
This was all the damn German's fault.
All he could do was stand there, seething as his left eye started twitching.
He was going to make Victor pay. Oh yes.....

There where only seconds to react, that is all he needed. Vic teleported a mere five feet back leaving a puff of dark smoke in his wake, his left arm came up as a reflex forming into a large black claw that snatched the chair out of the air and slammed it back on the ground. His head snapped up ready for more, eyes pitch black, the shadows of the room seeming to slither toward him.
The German chuckled darkly, his voice seeming to...well darken, deepen. "Well, looks like I struck a nerve." he stood fully, his eyes locked on MECH, he released the chair and flexed his shadow arm. His tiny smirk widened further. "Damn man lighten up. Look, we both agreed we need to get out more. What better way then to do it in the company of a beautiful girl?" his voiced slowly returned to normal as did his eyes. With a shake of his wrist his shadow arm disappeared, the shadows in the room returning to normal.
Damn, most reaction I've EVER seen out of him. He must REALLY like this girl. He thought to himself, he moved forward cautiously, pushing the chair closer to its original location, but not all the way. He sat down and continued eating, his eyes never leaving Eric's. He continued eating, waiting for him to calm down. Wow, he better play this carefully, this girl really got under his skin, can't blame him after the hell we went through. Either way, this was gonna get interesting.

". . . bloody hell."
That awed expulsion came after several moments of stunned silence in which the only thing Jenny was capable of was staring wide-eyed at Vic, her jaw nearly on the floor from shock. When the other two turned to her, she blinked.
"S-sorry, I just . . . I had supposed that you were a mutant I just . . . that was . . . wow." She cleared her throat then. "And mildly off topic. Ah, your offer is very generous, but I don't really know the first thing about being a secretary. And . . ."
Now she shifted her gaze to Eric and swallowed somewhat painfully. Odd, how his vehement rejection and obvious desire to have nothing to do with her hurt so much, since she barely knew him from Adam. She thought she had, from the vision, but each passing moment was teaching her otherwise. Jenny struggled to keep that painful revelation off her face, though she wasn't sure if she succeeded or not. "Don't worry, Eric," she announced with as much dignity as she could scrounge. "We only need to stay near one another, from what I understand. That doesn't mean you have to babysit me, or anything. And as for clothes shopping, I don't . . . have any money, anyway. I, uh . . . I s-stole this dress," she admitted then, coloring. "I'm not proud of it, but there you are."

He closed his eyes and purposely slowed his breathing, trying to calm himself down. It took a while, but he finally clamped down on the rage and suppressed it. He'd take it out on the target range back home later. After making sure to replace them all with pictures of Victor.
When he opened his eyes again, he was (mostly) back to normal. And with a sinister smirk, he turned on Von Droth.
"If Mr. Von Droth wants you as his new secretary, we'll simply have to give you some training. And as for the clothes. Well, he is a billionaire, and it is his idea. I'm sure he won't mind footing the bill. After all, seeing as you've been living on the streets for 3 years, you'll need a full wardrobe I'm sure. And the usual accessories to go with it. Shoes, purses, make-up, jewelry. Oh yes, I think taking you shopping on Victor's dime is an excellent idea."
He headed for the door, turning back as he opened it.
"Now, if you two will excuse me, I have a party to out to bed. Since the Holo is still running around outside, you're presence isn't required Victor."
With that, he left the small office to begin clearing out the party goers.
