Unsteady Alliance (Jane, open)

"Sky Nightshade..."

Jane knew the name. She was part of the main branch, and the closest among the Nightshades to Shadow. To think Sky would be the one.... Was a frightening thought. A child born to Sky and Cain would be insanely powerful. And raised by Cain? Far worse...

"One of the Elensar's?!" Jane's voice faltered. No one messed with the Elensars! "Which one?" Tari was the passivist, so in some ways, it wouldn't be near as surprising if it were her. Freya on the other hand.. She was crazy aggressive, no one messed with her!

Jane sighed again, not moving from her spot against the pillar. “I suppose I can help. I’m little use in a fight, but I can protect those close to me by bringing them in here. Otherwise… I have no knowledge on how to fight. If it were possible to get close enough, I could trap the man in here for a short time…” Apocalypse had probably already figured that out, but just incase he hadn’t she’d made sure to mention it.

“A… child?” Jane slowly blinked. The way he explained it, made it sound as if the girl knew more then just a ‘vast’ amount of information. Suddenly though, Jane paused. “And… You left her… alone?” The girl was obviously useful. Anyone who had her on their side could find out who knew what about their enemy! And worse…. Cain and Shadow knew about her existence. “They know about her existence, and you don’t have her under the best protection possible? Do you have any idea…. What a big mistake you made..?” Her eyes were wide, almost as wide as saucers. “They know your hide out, and her existence. They could have been waiting for you” She pointed at him. “To leave her alone, so they didn’t have to use as much force to get to her!”

"Freya Elensar."

He listened as she explained her powers, giving a small nod as she explained that she could trap someone. Though it would be a short time only, he couldn't help but wonder if that would give them time to find a way to stop Cain for good.

"It would be a possibility, but few have gotten close to the man and survived."

He couldn't help but be curious about her when she started talking about Crystal. Of course he left her alone, he trusted her enough not to get involved in anything. But when she started saying that both Shadow and Cain had waited for him to leave, his eyes widened a little. They couldn't know that he would't leave her alone would they? He walked back to one of the pillars and looked at it. What if it's true? What if they had a spy and they just signaled his departure and left Crystal unguarded. His hands balled into fists and slammed his fist into one of the pillars of the gazebo.

"DAM!"

His fist shattered the wood like splinters, not caring what dimension this was now. Crystal was in danger and he had left her alone without even thinking. The pillar in front of him melded itself back together as if nothing happened.

A look of sympathy passed over Jane’s expression. “Freya Elensar… Defeated by Cain..?” That was not a reassuring thought! No one in their right mind would stand up to him if he had killed an Elensar! Whether she was dead though… was a mystery.

“Possible, probable. Just very dangerous. Not to mention if I were to attack him first, a war would be on my head. Not his. Which would lower the odds to improbable, that I could do it. Just a thought though.”

His outburst was expected, but still made Jane flinch. How could he have known he might be risking her safety coming to meet Jane? But… It seemed like if she was in danger, or already caught, it was somewhat Jane’s fault. “You should go to her.” She tried to keep her voice even. “And I will follow soon.” She was accepting the invitation. She wouldn’t be in the Brotherhood, but she could render her assistance where needed. After all, The Brotherhood was fighting the good fight at the moment.

“You should return to your human disguise.” She waited only a few moments, before returning both of them to New York.

He turned and looked to her as she spoke, realizing the danger the both of them face. When she suggested that he should go to find her, he only nodded and shifted back to his human form, straightening his coat and tie as the world around them began to melt away to once again bring them to New York. He looked around before looking back to Jane.

"Take this." he removed the watch from his hand, "It will guide you to the island. Tell them apocalypse grants you entrance and you will be safe."

He gave her a small nod of his head before turning in the direction he knew would lead him to the mansion. He just hope that Jane was wrong, that Crystal had made it to the mansion with little trouble. He also hoped that he would be able to get to her before Cain did. Which was another thing he hoped he wouldn't have to do. Nobody was a match for Cain right now, not even himself. His only hope was to find Crystal before Cain did, and get back to the island without unwanted conflict.
