Lily was gone. Her body remained, it’s new owner in full control. Some might have thought the body might change to look like her own, but nothing of that nature happened. The only difference was the slumbering expression on the body in the Infirmary. Definitely an expression of Rose’s now.
Hearing Ian’s name made her blinked. He was in danger? What the hell happened?! “What the hell did he do this time?” She did not sound happy knowing that Ian was off in trouble again. What a great way to come back, finding out someone close to do ran off and did something stupid.
She didn’t say anything else though as the room changed and Xavier started to elaborate on what happened. The more she heard, the worse she felt. Why hadn’t she recognized him? God damnit! None of this would have happened if she’d recognized him! She flinched when she saw Ian under attack, but couldn’t let her gaze leave the memory. “Why did Cain take Ian? It’s not in his nature to take that many hostages…” She paused for only a few moments, sighing. “Yeah, I think I know where they are. If they haven’t moved since then…” Another short pause as she looked to Xavier. “Do you want me to go after them?” It was kind of obvious what he wanted…

"Cain didn't take Ian for himself, though he has been after the boy for some time. Sky blames Ian for your . Cain took him for her."
Another look of worry on Xavier's face as he thought about what would happen. Sky had wanted Ian , and both her and Cain would no doubt have their fun before giving him the final goodbye. When Rose asked if he wanted her to go after him, he turned to her and smiled.
"You are the only one that knows how to get there, but I wouldn't recommend you going alone. You will need a plan, and a team to lead. Try not to take anyone that would have a grudge against Cain. Their time to battle will come." his smile grew saddened then, "Unfortunately, I won't be able to guide you when you awaken. If you are able to, please try to save the ."
What neither of them didn't know, was that they had a visitor who had arrived not long after Rose's change. He stood next to Scott, who was looking after the professor once more. He adjusted his glasses as he looked at the two, his dark brown hair slicked back, his brown suit the same as it usually was. Xavier felt him, and he couldn't help but smile.
"It seems you already have someone waiting for you on the outside. In the form he is now, I'm sure he would prefer if you called him Trask."

Rose frowned. Sky was blaming Ian? And Cain was close to Sky… He did basically anything he asked of her… “Sky…” Her expression saddened a little. She hated the idea of possibly having to fight Sky to free Ian… and Crystal. But it had to happen. Perhaps it’d be easier with Sky and Cain not recognizing her. That wouldn’t last long though. They knew Rose’s power.
She slowly nodded when he continued, understanding fully. Going in alone was a stupid idea, but who would she take with her? She didn’t want Parker knowing about her existence quite yet, if only because he’d want to come with her or try and stop her. Other then Parker though, who could she trust to take? Alex might be a good idea, but she didn’t have the power to go on a rescue mission. Bluntly put, no matter how depressing it was, she would just be dead weight if she went. “But who? Who am I supposed to trust and take?” She paused for a moment, catching the last part with both eyebrows raised. “What do you mean you won’t be there? What happened?”
Was the Professor hurt? Why wouldn’t he be there to help her? She knew this was all an illusion, so it made her wonder…. Where were they?
Rose blinked when he announced there was someone waiting. Who? What was going on?! “Trask?” She paused for a moment before her eyes widened. “Boliver Trask?!” He was the man who made the Sentinels! Why was he there?! It was then she realized exactly what he had said. “What do you mean ‘in the form he is now’?”

"I'm sorry it has to be this way, Rose, but a lot has happened during your absence. I can't tell you more."
Though he was unconscious, he could tell where they were. He didn't really have much time to answer Rose's questions, so instead he shifted it to the infirmary. Both he and Rose stood next to two other men, looking at the tables. One held her in her new form, the other held a badly beaten Xavier. The two men that stood next to them were Scott and Trask.
"Yes, Boliver Trask. The one here isn't the one that made the sentinels, he portrayed the form of Trask after the last one...disappeared. But you also may know him as this..."
As he focused his attention on Trask, the man's form began to slightly change, as if an apparition of Apocalypse was now surrounding him. The leader of the brotherhood had arrived at the mansion and was waiting, though he wasn't sure what for. Xavier looked to her, though the look on his face seemed to be a bit strained.
"Apocalypse came here looking for Crystal. He had grown...fond of her during her stay with him. He won't admit it, but it's as if he now looks to her, to someone, as family for the first time."

As the room changed yet again, Rose’s attention wasn’t on her own body. She knew what he looked like, or now looked like. It was on Professor Xavier. Something had happened, and he’d been hurt… “Professor, what happened to you?” Who had done this? Somehow… She already seemed to know the answer. Only one person was going about taking out powerful figures. Cain…
Finally she forced her attention to return to the speaking Xavier, listening as he spoke. “So the person has been using Trask as a disguise? But then who i-“ She was cut off by Trask changing, a shadow of a much larger man wrapping around him. She knew the figure. “Apocalypse..?” Apocalypse was disguised as Trask? But why?
“Is that why you’re hurt? Cain took her when she was here…?” Who was the girl? Why had Cain gone out of his way to grab her? Ian was understandable now, but Crystal? What was so important about her? But knowing that Apocalypse was so attached to the girl almost made her sympathize. It was painful losing family. Worse when they had been taken and you couldn’t do anything about it.
Suddenly, Rose turned back to Xavier, a determined look in her eyes. “I’ll get them both back, Professor. I promise.”

"I know you will, child, but you must hurry. Ian doesn't have much time, and Trask will be able to fill you in on Crystal." Charles looked to her with a smile, "But for now I need to rest, and you need to wake up."
Xavier's form vanished, and the room began to fill with a bright light. The light was actually from the overhead lamp that was attached to the ceiling in the infirmary. Apocalypse and Scott watched as the monitor for Xavier's mind began to settle down. They didn't know what had happened, but both knew that Rose's form had changed slightly. Apocalypse was the first to notice her condition.
"It seems one of the patients is awakening."
Scott looked from Apocalypse to the , then turned and left the room. Though he was unsure of leaving the leader of the brotherhood in a room with their leader, he had to get Hazel in case she needed to look over the . It wasn't long before he returned with the nurse, and Bobby came rushing in with her to check on the he had saved outside.
"She looks...different." Bobby said.

In the dream world, Rose nodded. "I understand... You better be awake when we get back!" She smiled for the first time since reawakening. He was gone then, and so was the dream world they'd been in. The light overhead was brighter then she'd thought, but she held back a flinch. Hearing the voices, she started to stir even more, her eyes slowly opening.
It took a few moments for her eyes to adjust, and when she did, Rose sat up. She knew where she was. It was the infirmary. And she recognized everyone there. Trask because Xavier had warned her. Hazel, Scott, Bobby... They were all X-men. She didn't know Scott all that well, but she'd seen some pictures and heard about him. Hazel was already trying to force Rose to lay back down, but she definitely wasn't having any of that. A shimmering black barrier leaped up between her and Hazel, shocking the woman beyond believe. Of course Hazel recognized the power! Who wouldn't now a days? "Nothing's wrong with me this time, you should spend your time on the Professor..."
Okay, she was probably scaring the hell out of the people there, but she didn't have time to worry about that right now!

Scott looked to the barrier when it appeared, Apocalypse only had a half smile, but it was Bobby who made the first move. He recognized the barrier, the tone of the voice, and the way she presented herself. It looked like her, he was sure of it, but...she was right? Ian, Alex and even Parker said that she killed herself.
"R...Rose? Is that you?"
He didn't know what to do about the news. He was definitely sure that Rose was killed, her cross memorial was placed at the construction site. He was completely silent, Scott was silent either way, not knowing what was going on, but it was Apocalypse that spoke up after an uncomfortable silence.
"We haven't time for reunions, Iceman. We must hurry if we are to save your friends."
"Trask" turned and left the room, Bobby following after. Scott and Hazel where the only ones left in the room, he looked to Hazel, who gave him a look like she may need some words alone with Rose. He nodded his head, and left the room, deciding he could use some time out of the mansion. Besides, it's been a few days and he could use some personal time with Jean.

Rose blinked when she heard her name, looking to Bobby with a slightly bewildered look. After a few seconds though, a sly smile crossed her lips. It was just as strange for them as it was for her, but it was probably shocking to be talking to someone that should be dead! She didn’t say anything though, not everyone was supposed to know how she’d ‘survived’ after all. She’d only tell those that needed to know.
When the room was empty of everyone but Hazel and herself, well and the unconscious Professor but he didn’t count, Rose dropped the barrier. Whatever the two spoke about, they were sure to keep their voices barely whispers, obviously not wanting anyone to overhear. She was probably telling Hazel how she’d survived. When they finished, Hazel let her leave, turning her attention back to Xavier.
Rose hurried after Apocalypse and Bobby, heading in the direction she knew they’d gone, catching up in no time at all. When she had caught up, she ran her fingers through her hair, slightly annoyed with how short it was... “It’s not just our friend we’re going to save, ‘Trask’. Or do you really expect us to leave your own little friend there?”

"My "little friend", as you call her, is the only reason I insisted on joining this operation. I'm sure she's in good hand with your boyfriend." Apocalypse countered, smiling a bit as he looked to her.
"Excuse me, sorry to butt in but where exactly is this place? Why would Ian be on that island?"
Bobby was the only one out of the loop as far as Crystal and Ian's capture was concerned. He only knew it was Ian due to Apocalypse cracking the comment on calling him Rose's boyfriend. The only other thing he knew was that someone of the brotherhood was captured and Apocalypse and Rose were forming a team to rescue them.
"Don't get me wrong, Ian's my friend and I want to help, but what's so special about this island?"
"Why don't you ask Rose. It is, after all, her first home." Apocalypse answered.
"Her first..." Bobby started, then the color drained from his face as it sunk in, "The Nightmares? Ian and the other girl were taken by the Nightmares? That's where we're going? It's a suicide mission! Nobody's ever gone into that place and come out alive."

Rose sighed when he mentioned Ian being her boyfriend. Sure, they’d been close before her ‘death’, but could that really still be true? He’d obviously changed a lot since then, and Rose had changed to, though mostly just because the previous occupant’s memories had affected her to a degree. “In good hands?” Her gaze slowly settled on Apocalypse. “You really think either of them will be safe there..? No one is safe at that place…”
Rose’s gaze wandered to Bobby now, her expression hard to read. She didn’t exactly like that sort of information being distributed around like it was absolutely nothing. And after spending so much time as ‘Lily’ she’d decided she didn’t like anyone knowing her past unless they needed to. And Bobby didn’t need to know. “Why are you telling him that? Does he plan on coming?”
His lack of faith irritated her even more, her expression dark as she stared at him. “No one? I have, twice. Once when I was nine, and right before my suicide.” She paused for a moment. “You really think I can’t get back in there again? Especially when everyone there thinks I’m dead?” She was smirking again. “Especially when I am finally in full control of my power, and none of them had ever witnessed that before?”
Rose felt like laughing. Perhaps her time as Lily had made her overconfident, but right now she had no reason to be worried. The Nightmares might be expecting a rescue team, but never in their wildest dreams would they expect her to be in it.

"Well yeah I plan on coming, he is my friend after all."
He still couldn't understand why she was so eager to get into the island. Granted she was right in being able to get in and get out without a problem. He looked to her when she smiled, causing him to smile as well.
"That's right, they still think you're ."
"Careful, Rose, your overconfidence may be your downfall." Apocalypse added, giving his usual half smile.
Bobby looked to him and rolled his eyes, silently wishing he didn't have to come along. He glanced up at Rose, wondering if she was thinking the same thing. He looked over the island, only noticing one way in and out.
"Well, getting in will hopefully be easier then getting out, but how do we do it? We need a team and, to tell you this Rose, but with the school on lock down most of the students have either disappeared or went into hiding in their rooms."
He thought for a moment, wondering what kind of people would be able to handle the mission, or at least go on it.
"I guess since you're leading this mission, you'll be the one to decide who goes."

Why she was so eager… Well you could say she wanted to repay the Nightmares for what happened. Cain taking her from the school in her moments of weakness, making her forget everything to begin with and turning Ian against her, trying to train her to be just as cold hearted as Shadow. Sure, Rose could be just as cold hearted, sometimes, but she never wanted that to be a habit. And right now happened to be one of those times…
“Why would they even consider me still alive?” Both her eyebrows were raised, as if wondering why they’d think such a thing. Sure, if they knew about Pitsha it might have crossed their minds, but the chances of her being at the same location as Rose when she tried to kill herself were mind boggling. The odds were astronomical!
The overconfidence comment made her smirk turn into a sheepish smile. “May, being the keyword. Don’t worry, my ego will return my common sense soon enough.” Why she was so overconfident? Well she had just come back from the dead, basically! That sort of thing tended to make you feel on top of the world.
And the organizing was beginning… Rose stared into space, deep in thought. “Yeah, much easier getting in, as long as you don’t set off any of the alarms. They have a security system that alerts Shadow whenever a presence steps on the island, it’s how she always knows when someone arrives, friend or foe.” She paused for a moment. “You don’t have to worry about the security when leaving, it only picks up people coming to the island, not leaving it. But that doesn’t mean it’d be easy…”
Rose leaned up against the wall, her arms folded and eyes closed, deep in thought. “I don’t know who to bring. The smaller the party, the better, if only to save casualties. But there are a lot of powerful mutants there, there’s no telling just what might be thro-“ She cut off, her eyes opening wide as an idea hit her. Suddenly she was smiling. “I think we need to stick with the best course of action. Making them underestimate us.” She probably wasn’t making any sense. Whatever she was thinking, it was completely impossible to guess…

"Sorry, seeing you alive...kind of a force of habit thinking everyone knows."
He couldn't help but smile. What would Ian say when he saw Rose back in action, he would probably freak out. Bobby didn't know about Ian knowing all this before hand, so once again he was still left in the dark. When Rose commented about the alarms, Bobby sighed.
"So all we need are some hover boots or something and we'll be fine. Don't suppose you have any of that handy do you?" he looked up at Apocalypse, who only narrowed his eyes at Bobby, "Heh...didn't think so."
He stood there, his pose in a thoughtful look as she spoke. It was only when she cut herself off and begin to smile did Bobby look at her curiously. He knew that look anywhere, everyone had it when they were working up a plan.
"What? What's going on Rose, you got something in mind?"
Apocalypse also had his eyes on Rose, surprisingly keeping quiet as the two carried on. The only thing that concerned him was getting Crystal away from the Nightmares. He didn't know what they would do, but Crystal could mean the downfall of both the brotherhood and the X-Men.

Rose just shrugged. “You’re actually one of the first to know. I couldn’t even remember myself until Xavier helped me pull through…” It’d explain all the brain activity the X-man had seen. He’d been communicating with Rose, or Lily.
She was grinning widely as the two’s curiosity. “Tell me, have either of you ever had a run in with a Bounty Hunter? And not some random human trying to earn a few extra bucks by taking in some mutant kid. I mean a real mutant bounty hunter. One who’s devoted their whole life to taking down the most powerful mutants in existence?” It was doubtful that either had seen a real one, and by real she meant a human capable of taking down even Cain, or Shadow.
Rose let her words sink in before continuing her idea. “All the Nightmares think humans are inferior, but I’ll tell you this, I know how to contact one who has the capability of stopping even you.” Her gaze settled on Apocalypse then, emphasizing who she’d meant by ‘you’. “These people, no matter how powerful you are, you would never want to have to go up against one. Even I have gone out of my way to avoid their attention.” Admitting that even Rose wasn’t willing to fight one of these humans was saying something. Rose, who feared many things but always stood up and fought, admitting that she would never want to face one of these people.
“One of them owes me a favor, so I can always call her up on it. And believe me, she wouldn’t be dead weight to us, we’d be the dead weight to her. The reason why I mention it, is because none of the Nightmares, not Shadow, not even Cain would take it seriously. And that just might be our only chance of getting those two out of there.”
