When Parker's voice was heard, it affected Ian more then he thought. The fact that he was hearing so many familiar voices it made him sit up sharply and watch the two. They continued to go back and forth with each other, and he finally just placed his hands over his hears and closed his eyes tight as if to drown out the noise. Finally something snapped inside his mind, causing him to shout out mentally to both of them.
Stop it! Stop it both of you! Doesn't anybody ever ask me what I want?!
He slammed his hands down onto the bed and looked with maddened eyes at the two, even as Rose stepped out of the infirmary. The look on his face would make anybody worry, his eyes were wide and crazed, so wide it looked like his eyelids had completely disappeared. His teeth were gritted so tight together that the veins could be seen on his neck.
Within a second he was gone, speeding up to his room and grabbing what he could. He didn't want to lose his memories, or have anybody invade his mind. He had to get away from it all, and he quickly gathered all of his clothes and other items he knew he would need, then took off out the door. He left the school behind completely, disappearing down the road and out of sight.

Rose stopped when she heard movement from the bed Ian had been laying on. Quickly she turned back to see what was going on, and froze. Ian looked absolutely mad, the exact thing she'd told Parker to stop! Why hadn't Parker just done as she asked, and decided to argue with her instead?! It had her more then furious! It had her near Dark Matter throwing angry!
She couldn't hear his mental scream, seeing as he wasn't a Telepath and neither was she, but the look on his face was more then enough. And then, Ian was gone, moving with his old speed once more. "Parker stop him!" She turned, running as fast as she could to the room she knew was Ian's. Maybe, maybe if she moved fast enough she'd catch him there. When she caught him, she could stop him from running. She could trap in if she wanted, he wouldn't like it, but it'd be the only way.
His room door was open, and when she looked inside it looked as if someone had been going through the drawers. She gritted her teeth, before hitting the door with all her strength. "Dammit!" It wasn't a whimpy yell either, she screamed with all her lungs, so angry and terrified for Ian's safety that no doubt most the school heard her.

Bobby was walking down the hall when he felt a sudden rush of wind fly past him. He didn't know what that was, but something told him to go back. He ran back just as Rose passed him, and when he got to the infirmary, he saw Parker, but Ian was gone.
"oh no..."
Following Rose's example, he ran up towards Ian's room, hoping to catch his friend before he left. But when he heard Rose scream, he knew he was too late. He ran up to the doorway and stood next to Rose as he looked into Ian's room.
"Dam!" he said as he walked into the room and looked around, seeing that everything was gone except for some electronics and the picture. He turned and looked at the picture, seeing Ian and the old Rose smiling back at him.
"So now what do we do?" he turned to Rose, hoping she had an idea, "We gotta find him, but the only thing that can be used is Cerybro and Xavier's the only one that's been able to use it and not get his brain seriously fried.
He walked over and sat down on Ian's bed, trying to think of a plan, but unfortunately nothing came.

Because Ian had made the decision so quickly, Parker didn't pick up on it until he was gone. But after what he saw in Ian's mind, he didn't want to go after him. Ian panicked at Parker's influence and he knew that going after him wouldn't be the best.
But the worst was Rose's reaction to Ian's escape. Parker could feel her anger bursting at the seems, almost on the verge of using her dark matter. And yelling.
"Rosalie." And then she walked out and Parker just sat there alone, steaming. He kept tracking Ian as he ran, panicking from his memories being erased and thinking that they were making his decisions for him. And then he heard Bobby's thoughts, him panicking about tracking Ian down and "capturing" him...again. As calmly as he could, Parker slowly got up and walked over to where Bobby and Rosalie were.
"I could use Cerebro, if you need me to. Yes, I've never used it before, but I could try." Parker was now in control of his emotions, but he could literally feel the anger coming Rosalie in waves and panic from Bobby. "Guys...seriously. Calm down or Ian's never coming back here." He then turned to her with a blank stare. "Rosalie...Ian doesn't want his decisions made for him. Can't you see that? That's why he left. Did you even consider that?"

So now what do we do?
If only she could answer that! What the hell was she supposed to do?! Ian wasn't supposed to even know about it in the first place! Rose was so furious with Parker, but mostly herself for trusting him, that she felt like crying. She held back her tears though, leaning against the wall in Ian's room and lightly whacking her head against it.
“I don't know, I don't know!" She covered her forehead with her hands, letting out a frustrated sigh. Of course Merfonde would have been able to track Ian, but the woman had other jobs, and she'd told Rose when she joined them temporarily that after that favor her debt to Rose was repaid.
Parker suggesting to use Cerebro went half unnoticed, Rose opening her cold eyes to just glare at him for being an idiot. "You'd kill yourself using it! You were told that to use that room you have to have a degree of control equal to Xavier's! Not even Jean Grey is allowed to use the machine!" Parker might be powerful, but a master he was not. He was still learning, still growing and developing. He wouldn't reach the level of control needed for years to come
Parker went on to basically blame Rose for Ian leaving like that. How come Parker couldn't understand what was going on in her head?! Rose was getting really mad, at the point when she lost control of her powers. "I know he doesn't want to forget! Why can't you just stop and be rational rather than sentimental?!" She glared at Parker, and a little at Bobby if only because she knew he was against the idea as well.
"The only reason Ian is in this shit is because some future seeing mutant told him to! He had to take that mutant seriously and think he was my guardian! He threw himself in harm’s way just because I was there! Everything bad that has happened to him in the past couple years has been my fault!" Rose threw her hands up in an exasperated fashion, as if wanting to give up on everything. "Every enemy he's made, every injury he received, every tear he shed, everything is on my head. I can't take it anymore! I've ruined his entire life! And for what? What do we have to show for it?! A few scars and some war stories to share around a campfire!”
Rose turned around and slammed her fists into the wall, Dark Matter picking up to amplify her assault on the wall, smashing a hole the size of a person. " I’ll damn my soul to Hell if that’s the cost for his freedom, if that’s what it takes to let him have a life where he never has to worry about someone trying to kill him or his loved ones.” A few tears escaped from Rose’s tear brimmed eyes.
“The terrible things I’ve done… And will do…” More tears were falling, but if either of the boys moved to touch her, to comfort her, the Dark Matter would leap into existence to keep them away. “After the things I’ve done… I’ll only ever be a monster to him. Something to fear and hate. I can’t live in a world where Ian hates me.” She tried to wipe away her tears, but they were falling so quickly it didn’t help at all. “I’d rather be forgotten then hated, no matter how much it hurts inside.” The young Rose, the girl who’d seemed to be untouched by the taints of the world, the one that everyone had known and loved was showing through. That Rose would have done anything for Ian, and now the two boys would understand. That same Rose was still there, only her motives had been taken to an extreme. Before, morals would have stopped her from certain things. Now, Rose truly was willing to do anything for Ian, even destroy her own sanity. “Why can’t you just understand..?”

He sighed when Rose was banging her head against the wall, and then when Parker came in, his focus was on him. He shook his head at the two as they begin to go back and forth with each other over what they wanted for Ian. It caused him to roll his eyes and give an aggravated before standing up.
"Will you two stop it? Look at you." he gestured to the two of them, "Someone we care about is out there and in trouble and you're sitting here arguing like a couple of five year olds."
He watched as Rose began to collapse inside herself, the dark matter shielding herself from Parker and himself. He thought for a moment, knowing that losing your memories wouldn't solve anything, but he didn't know how to say it without causing Rose to start getting angry again.
"Look, I may not know how things were with you and Ian, but you guys had it good. Ian may have been sent here by some time traveling mutant, but he stayed her because he cares about you, Rose. Just because you erase his memories won't keep him from going out there and doing things, and it certainly won't keep him from danger." Bobby turned and looked to the picture again, picking it up and holding it out for Rose, "Ian didn't come stay here because of you, he stayed here because this was his home. He fights because he knows he needs to protect his family and friends, just like all of us."
He smiled a bit, remembering the talk that he and Ian had one day, and all that Ian said to him. He knew nothing about the school when he first arrived, even bringing Rose here. He hoped Rose would look at the picture or at least take it.
"Nothing that happened here was your fault. Ian could've just as easily took off after he found out you were better, but while you were in the hospital wing he began to feel at home with this place, just like you and Parker did when you stayed here. Granted he does do some pretty stupid things and get himself into trouble, but that's all of us. We may be mutants, but we're still adventurous kids at heart. We need to get Ian back not because we need him back, but because we know he needs us. Am I right?"

Listening to Bobby try and reason with her wasn't exactly on her list of priorities. She was beyond listening at this point, closing off her heart and mind from what they said so her decision didn't waver. She was going to see this through to the end, no matter what these two said to try and change that. They didn't see what she was saying. They didn't stop and think about some of the danger Ian had gotten into just because he knew her. They had just rescued Ian from the Island after all! He'd only been grabbed because of her! If he'd been anyone else, Cain wouldn't have even bothered with him!
Her fury was rising again as she stared angrily at the ground. Them trying to reason with her was only pissing her off even more. Somehow she remained in control though. "We're not kids anymore, Bobby. You think this is all just fun and games? That I'm being a child for wanting to keep Ian away from danger?" She slammed a fist into the wall again, breaking another hole right next to her previous one. "Do you have any idea what it's like, caring for someone so much that it hurts, and knowing they are out fighting when they're more likely to get themselves killed? When they don't have the training or the skills to survive when someone really goes after their life!" She paused, glaring at Bobby now.
"When they have that same stupid mind set of thinking this is some adventure and they'll be heroes after? That when things get tough they expect someone to swoop in on a white horse and make it all better?" Again, yet another pause. "This isn't some fairytale, where the Good Guys always win. Ian is more of a danger to his own allies then he is to his enemies. He thinks everything is a game, he doesn't know when to take this War seriously!" He joked about the enemy, and made stupid nicknames for people who hated him. He taunted villains and showed off by using his top speed as if he could run at that speed forever without tiring. "It's a miracle he hasn't been killed already!"

"I do know what it's like, Rose. I worry about Rogue everytime we're both out there. Ian's braver then you think and just because he makes a game of it, doesn't mean he knows what's out there."
He sighed, giving her a defeated expression. Nothing he said or did was going to change Rose's mind. He knew that Ian would still be Ian even without his memories of her, but to take those memories was like stealing someone's life, or at least a part of it. He took a look at Parker, wondering what he was going to do. He would do anything to help his friend, Ian, but to make him forget things that he knew were important was drawing the line. Bobby turned and headed towards the door, but stopped and looked at Rose one more time.
"You've changed Rose, and I don't like this new you. It's like you just don't care anymore, but I can't change your mind. You want to find Ian and take his memories, fine, but you can do it on your own. I'm not helping you this time."
He wasn't angry when he spoke, but the way he talked to Rose was as if he was talking to someone he had never met before. He gave her and Parker one last look, then headed out the door, walking away from whatever Rose was planning.
