Sky just dodged when Ian spat at her and she sent a shooting pain through his head, causing him to scream and writhe from the impact of it. Don't forget who you're dealing with, boy. I'm someone to be reconciled with. She hissed. Sky then turned to Hank, Black Cat, and Parker and caused them to go to sleep. She didn't want to be interrupted by these X-Men. She turned to Hazel. Interrupt me or alert anyone and that girl dies. Sky motioned to Meav. She then turned her attention back to Ian. Her eyes were fulled with hate.
I frankly don't care about you being controlled by Cain or if you joined him or whatever. But whoever messes with or hurts my sister...gets their ass kicked by me. I'm gonna make you pay for what you did. Sky then turned up the heat and pierced Ian's mind with full force. She manipulated his brain, making him think his body was on fire and in severe pain.

"Sky!" Hazel took several steps forward to stop Sky from her assault on Ian, but stopped when she literally threatened to murder someone under their roof. "How dare you... You really think you'd get away with murder?!" None the less though, Hazel kept her distance, ready to reach out herself and knock Sky out if necessary.
"Sky,if you hurt Ian, Rose will never forgive you." Hazel stopped then, that was if Rose ever woke up. She couldn't help but wonder though, how would they bring Ian back to his senses with Rose in a coma?

"You're nothing but another mutant. You'll die with the others.
He looked over as Sky did towards Hank and the others, causing them to fall unconcious. He then looked to Sky and smirked when she threatened to kill meav. He winced and writhed in pain as he felt his brain being attacked. When he felt as if his body was on fire he yelled in pain, trying to break from his bonds. When she mentioned hurting Rose, he couldn't help but laugh.
"I'd never hurt Rose, you fool. She wasn't even the reason Cain needed her."

Sky's eyes widened when Ian said he would never hurt Rose and her hatred only grew.
"She's freaking comatose, because of you. She won't wake up. Rose doesn't want to wake up. Whether it was intentional or not, you did hurt her. Her mental voice was deadly quiet. You could literally hear her voice cracking when she mentioned Rose. Sky was at her breaking point. She was doing everything in her power not to kill Ian right there and then, but Hazel made a good point. Rose would never forgive her if she killed Ian. But that didn't mean Sky wouldn't beat him to an inch of his life...

"Rose? Comatose? No...I...I didn't mean to hurt her." he said, then yelled out, "I didn't mean to hurt her!"
He started struggling agianst his bonds, trying hard to break free. He wanted to see Rose, to see if she was alright, to try and wake her up. But he couldn't, he knew Sky was right, he had hurt Rose. Everything inside him practically exploded, whatever had taken control of his mind snapped and finally realeased him. He laid there then, blinking for a bit before looking to Sky.
"Sky, I'm...I'm sorry." a tear began rolling down the side of his face, "Cain he...he made Alex take me. He wanted me to get Rose and get her out of the way. Shadow...Rose was never her target."

Sky looked at him and saw his mind literally break, to reveal the true one. So, Cain's hold over Ian had snapped? She felt his flood of feelings for Rose and for what he did. No...she wouldn't torture him. He would torture himself for a while now. It would hurt him more if she didn't do anything, other than leave Ian to his own mind and time. Sky then turned around, a smug look on her face, but pain was there too.
"Think about you did, brat. Who knows if my sister is going to wake up." Sky woke everybody up and looked at Hazel, a tear rolling down her cheek. "I'm going back to Rose." More tears came, but Sky didn't utter a sound. She just calmly walked back into Rose's room and sat against the wall again and continued her attempts to break Rose's mental walls.

Ian laid there, his own thoughts coming back to him. The more he thought of Rose laying there in bed, thinking about how he was the one that put her there, the more his own tears came. Hank woke up in time to see Sky look to Hazel. Not sure what was going on until he saw Ian. He stood up and walked over to the young student.
"Ian...Ian are you alright?"
"Yeah." Ian said, no sound of sarcasm in his voice, "Leave me alone ok? I...I want to be left alone."
Hank placed a hand on Ian's shoulder, Ian looking back at him, tears still coming down his face. Hank gave a sympathetic smile, nodded and turned and walked past Hazel, giving her a gentle squeeze on her shoulder as he did. He walked into the room where Sky and Rose were, standing there and watching her.
"Any luck?"

Hazel stayed out of the way, knowing now that Sky wouldn't harm the boy. She felt a pang of sympathy when Sky blamed him for Rose's state. At least he was in his right state of mind now... But Hazel hadn't wanted Ian to know about Rose yet. With a sigh, she shook her head as Hank passed her. "Sky told him..." Was all she had to say for Hank to figure out why Ian was back to normal.
It had been a theory of Hazel's, that Ian might come back to his senses if he found out where Rose was, and what state she was in... But that would have been beyond cruel. "Ian.... It's not you're fault..." She doubted he'd believe her. Why would he? But she still had to try...

Ian still couldn't move, and his legs felt numb. He looked at his arms, then to his legs, then let his head fall to the side once more. A criminal in my own home now he thought to himself. He looked towards the wall, wanting Rose to come out and greet him, slap him, anything. But she wouldn't, she was lieing in bed, unable to speak or move or even smile. When Hazel walked over and told him it wasn't his fault, he could barely speak.
"How can you say that? How can you say it's not my fault?" he looked at Hazel, his eyes read, "I took her, I gave her to Cain. It's my fault she's lieing in there."

Hazel waited patiently for Ian to respond, letting him take his time, absorb everything that was happening, to accept it. She smiled softly, reassuringly.
"You were under Cain's control. If we held everyone to account for the sins they were forced to do, all of us would be burdened with it. When a person is being mind controlled, do you blame them for the crimes they might commit?" She paused, taking a seat in the chair next to Ian.
"I know how tough this is. But you are not to blame. Things you can not fight against, they aren't to your will. And so, they don't stain your soul." Another pause. "I'm not saying it will be easy. I'm sure others will blame you for it, but you have to keep telling yourself that it wasn't you doing that."

Cain...everything revolved around him. David, Rose, himself, even the brotherhood and X-Men were damaged because of him. His anger began to build, mixed in with the guilt he felt for what he had done. He began to remember everything now. Alex ging him, seeing Cain once again as well as Jackie and Logan. His fight alongside Meav against Black Cat, Rika and Ryu, then falling unconcious and waking up here. It built up and exploded when Hazel told him she knew how he felt.
"You know nothing of how I feel!" he snapped, "I could've fought against him, kept Rose safe here. I told her I'd protect her, that I wouldn't let her come to any harm and I failed!"

Hazel flinched at Ian's outburst. But she wouldn't get angry back. That was the last thing Ian needed. More people mad at him. He already felt awful to begin with. He didn't need them to make it any worse. Of course.... Sky had already done that. "Ian..."
She stopped herself, not sure what she could say to make him feel any better. She doubted anything would. Not unless Rose woke up and told him to get over it herself. He wouldn't listen to anyone else. "I do know how you feel Ian." There was no doubt in her voice. "There are many.. terrible men out there. Not just loud mouths like Cain. People that use others for their own sake." She paused for a moment, taking a deep breath. "Some with out the ability to truly control your mind, but men who are smooth talkers and sly, who get everything they want even if you aren't even aware of what is happening." Hazel didn't know into detail. But one thing was true. She knew what it was like to be used, to do things you were against.

Hazel's words seemed to calm him, and he began to feel lousy for yelling at her. It was another thing he was feeling guilty about now, Hazel was trying to help and he snapped at her. He didn't know what else was going to happen or how the rest of the day went, but nothing could be worse then what he was going through now, or how he felt. He looked to Hazel, trying to fight back another urge to yell or scream.
"He's got Alex. Rose isn't the target that Shadow's after, she's just an annoyance. It was Parker, Rose was just in the way. There's also another , some in a wheelchair she can...do something with worms to make them bigger."
He didn't know if it was just his mind playing tricks on him or if he really saw what he saw. The and Alex were staring at each other, and then there was a giant worm in the doorway gnashing it's teeth. He looked to Hazel, hoping what he said wasn't crazy.

Hazel slowly nodded. "We knew about Alex. When she vanished, and you vanished, we guessed what had happened." Then.. he was speaking again. About Rose never being the real target. Her eyes widened. But... Hadn't Shadow always been after Rose's life? Or.... Had she been after Parker the entire time, means to and end... "We'll have to tell him then."
His words left Hazel thunder struck. A woman who controlled worms?! And wheelchair bound?! Hazel was on her feet almost instantly. "HANK!" She was yelling, her shouts frantic.

"What? What's going on? What did I say?"
Ian practically jumped when Hazel turned and practically screamed for Hank. Clanging and clattering came from the other room, proving that she had completely caught her friend and fellow doctor off guard. Hank practically barreled into the room, thinking that Ian had broken free or someone was attacking them. When he saw that neither was going on, he looked at Hazel.
"For heaven's sake, Hazel, a man can only take so much shouting before he had a heart attack. What's going on?"
