Ever since Rose had woken, Professor Xavier had been debating on many matters. What was to be done with her memory loss, how would she adjust to school life here with people that knew and expected a great many things from her. How would her two family members here adjust to her being unable to recall their names. He finally, and reluctantly, came to a conclusion.
He called a meeting, inviting the two Nightshades, and Hank if he wished to hear the verdict. Ian would have been invited as well if he weren't in such a slump. Ian would be told when he could handle it.
The Assembly hall was bare of all life but Professor Xavier, as he waited for his two, maybe three, guests.

Sky reluctantly sauntered in, not happy with this sudden secret and stupid meeting. A look of disgust was on her face as she saw Xavier. She then stood off to the side and closed her eyes.
"I can't see why you're in charge of Rose, old man. I'm her sister and I should decide what's best for her." She growled menacingly. Sky hated this guy and his holier-than-thou logic and demeanor. She hated him with every fiber of her being, but she came here for Rose's sake.

Parker strolled in, hesitantly. He saw the professor and he gave him a look of respect. Then he saw Sky, leaning against the wall with her eyes closed. She obviously hated the professor and Parker couldn't see why. Maybe it was jealousy? He was afraid to look in her mind and find out...she would hurt him if he did. His face was then expressionless as he put his hands in his pockets.
"So...what's going to happen with Rose, professor?"

Professor Xavier could have responded to Sky with a 'I am her Legal Guardian, after all', but stopped himself. They didn't need to argue who had authority over the matter. Yes. Sky was Rose's sister, but Rose had been with the school for the last seven years of her life. Finally, all that had been required were there, and Charles could begin. He knew neither of them would like the announcement very well, but they would understand... Hopefully. "With Rose's... situation, I've put a lot of thought into what shall be done. I fear Rose feels awkward, and isolated, especially with everyone knowing who she is, and she being unable to recall who they are. Returning her to a normal school schedule here would be a terrible mistake." He emphasized the 'here'. "So... I feel it best to have Rose go stay with a host family for a while. To attend a normal high school." Another pause. "And have a normal life, even if it is only for a short time." Normal was a word the Nightshades rarely understood. Their lives were filled with chaos and danger, destruction and tragedy. Near any of them would have killed to have at least a few moments of a normal life. And Rose had a chance for that...

Parker knew the answer before Xavier gave it. There was no fooling anyone here...everyone in this room were telepaths. Parker then nodded, feeling like this was a good decision. The professor had earned his respect over the last several years he had been here. "All right," he whispered. Parker was going to miss his best friend, but Rose had said herself that she didn't want to see anyone from her family. Parker hated this decision for her to leave...but they practically had no choice. The professor's logic was sound.

Sky's eyes widened in anger when the old man delivered his verdict. But after he gave his explanation, she just gritted her teeth. It made sense...and besides, it was time that Sky got out of here. Obviously Rose was going to be taken care of somewhere else, no matter what she said. She just stormed out. "I'll be dropping in on her from time to time, to see if she REALLY is being taken care of, old man." Sky then left...to face the Nightmares.

"You are more then welcome to, Sky. Just be careful. Your sister is in a very fragile state right now." In the time Sky had been at the school to watch over Rose, he had learned a few things about her. One, if Sky became determined enough, she'd stop at nothing to see it through. "And Sky, keep this to yourself. This could be the chance Shadow has been waiting for."
Parker took the news a little better then his cousin, but he was obviously just as moody as she was about it. Sky was gone now, and Charles had another matter to discuss with Parker. A matter that Charles had kept hidden, so neither Sky nor Parker knew of the secret. "Parker. If I may have a few more minutes of your time. When Ian returned to us, he told us some... rather interesting information about your sister." Again, his thoughts remained guarded, denying Parker access to the knowledge if he tried to reach it.

Parker knew the professor was intentionally hiding something, but he didn't push it. While he was still kinda upset about the decision for Rose, he listened patiently. When he mentioned Shadow, his eyes narrowed. "Ian told you guys something...? It's about Cain and Shadow...isn't it...?" Parker suddenly tensed...Cain and Shadow together was extremely bad. Hopefully what the professor was going to tell, it wasn't going to be as bad as he thought.

Professor Xavier just shook his head. "No. Not in the way you are thinking. At least, not that we know of." He pause for a moment, sighing and motioning to one of the chairs near him, silently asking Parker to take a seat.
"Parker, what can you tell me about yours and Shadow's relationship? How you interacted, and such." It all depended on his answer. It would either explain everything that had happened to the young Nightshades, or leave Charles having to figure out another theory or all the attacks.

Parker sat down and waited patiently. When the professor mentioned Shadow and his relationship with her, he got a look of hatred on his face.
"We never got along...never. I hate her with every fiber of my being and because of that, that's why I ran away. She never told me why she hated me so much...but I know why I hate her. She's evil and doesn't care about others." Parker looked away, feeling the hatred like a fire in his blood.

"Hm..."
Professor Xavier thought. So why did Shadow have such a hatred for her little brother? Perhaps, maybe, she felt that he might succeed the family, rather then her? He couldn't say. He'd never encountered the woman. All he knew of Shadow Nightshade was through others. "I see..." He paused for a moment. "When we were speaking with Ian, after he was back to normal, he told us of an exchange between Shadow and Cain." He paused again. "Cain didn't target Rose willingly. Shadow bribed him to attack her. For one reason though." Another pause.
"I believe, Shadow thinks Rose is a threat. Not to her though. To her plans. A thorn in her side, if you will. With Rose out of the way, Shadow will have a straight path to her real target." Yet another pause. "You are away from your parents protections, Parker. And Shadow is after you."
It was starting to make sense. Shadow couldn't touch Parker if Rose was there. Rose would protect her slightly older cousin. With Rose gone, there would be nothing in Shadow's path. No wonder Shadow had showed no signs of aggression to Parker joining the school. Rose was still the target, with slightly different plans. Either way, Shadow would try to kill, or remove Rose from the equation before attempting to go after Parker.

After some discussion and debating on Hanks part, he reluctantly agreed to allow Xavier to work out his plans for Rose. Hank's only concern was that if the Nightshades found out about Rose's removal from the facility, Parker would be an open target. Ian was left in the infirmary with Rose, and from what he saw between the two, it was a rocky yet pleasant beginning.
On his way up to Xavier's office, and running a little late for the meeting due to leaving Ian, he managed to make his way down the hall. He didn't say much to Sky as she stormed past him, but he could tell she wasn't liking what was going on. But he couldn't help but worry about the slight nervousness, or fear, that rested deep inside Sky's eyes. He knew she was going back to her island, but he couldn't help but worry about what she'd meet when she got there.
"I take it the news was taken well?"
Hank stepped into the room, giving a joking smile as he stepped into the room. He could tell by the silence that they had reached the second part of their meeting. He gave a worried, yet concerned smile to Parker in regards to Shadow's true intentions being found. He then looked to Xavier.
"Charles, I wonder if I might have a word with you and Parker once this matter with Shadow is discussed."

Parker nodded, thinking that might be the case. In a way, he was a threat to Shadow. He could grow powerful enough to defeat Shadow, since they were siblings. It also could be a case of sibling rivalry. But either way...Rose was just in the way of getting to Parker. He just kept nodding. "I kinda suspected as much." Only Parker held the key to defeating Shadow.
"Now...Rose is gone. Her next attack...is going to be on me." Parker then thought about Rose and closed his eyes in gratitude. "Thanks...but I can take it from here." He was determined to train his hardest, from now on.

Charles smiled warmly at Hank McCoy's entrance. "It went smoother then I had hoped." He had half expected Sky, or Parker.. or both of them, to make a big scene out of it, trying to penetrate his own mind to change it. To stop Charles from going through with the plan. He wasn't doing this to punish anyone. It was entirely so Rose wouldn't be eaten alive by the school. She'd be able to have a normal, quiet life, as she came to terms with herself, among other things. When she was ready, Rose would be free to return to the school.
"Parker, that's what we've made sure to keep hidden. Your family doesn't know of Rose leaving, or her memory loss. Shadow won't learn of this for some time, so she won't plan an attack. We have time to prepare for it. Cain isn't aware of it either, so he can't launch an attack on Rose again. Cain is wary of Rose and the School. He won't come here personally to make sure the job is done. Not unless he is forced to. It gives us time. Time for Rose to start to regain her memories, and you to train." Charles smiled. He knew Parker's potential.
In simple terms, Parker's powers were a 'scalpel', Sky a 'broad sword'. He couldn't take down many with his mind like his cousin. He couldn't do huge damage with one sweep. But he was small and precise. His power let him do fine tuning, small insignificant things that changed a persons entire behavior. A Mind writer, in others words. His talent didn't manifest in the temporary and powerful control of a man. It was the subtle, but lasting rewriting of the mind.
"Yes, Hank? Please, go ahead. We were just finishing." Unlike Parker or Sky, Charles kept his mind to himself most the time. Invasion of privacy mind reading was, and he only used it when need be.

"I thought I should tell you that Ian is speaking with Rose right now. They're getting along quite nicely it seems."
He walked over and sat in a nearby chair, crossing his legs and lacing his fingers together. Anyone who knew Hank by now would know that when he sat like that, he was into some serious thinking, and as he looked from Parker to Xavier, serious thinking was exactly what he had been doing on the way up.
"Everyone here knows the closeness of Ian and Rose, correct?" he paused for response, "They have mentioned to each other on countless occasions that they're each others "bodyguards". As such I think it would be only fitting to allow Ian to stay with Rose during her recovery. She'll need someone who is close to her to help her remember, and unfortunately, Parker counted himself out in their first encounter."
He looked sternly at Parker when he said this. Though it's true that Parker had to focus on becoming stronger so he could prepare for his battle against his own family, Hank would've advised a team effort between him and Ian, but because of the outburst at the infirmary towards him, Hazel and Rose, Hank quickly changed his mind.
