Irish Detour (Conner Only!)

[conner]

*Conner took a deep breath, he was ready to tell her.*

Well it started at the top of the Eifel tower, you stoll some of my alcohol. You got drunk and I took you back here. You stoll the rest and drank it.

*He then told her the rest of what he remembered ((witch was just before we cut it off posting.))*

And the rest I honestly cant remember. I'v tried to recall what happened but it just wont come.

*The truth was that he truly didn't remember but he had a good idea of what did happen.*

[nelly]

*Nelly looked away. She guessed what they had done also. But, it's not like it was something they needed to be ashamed of. They were married, weren't they?*

"No more alcohol for either for me. None at all. Stop me if I try."

*She looked at Conner again, gave him a quick peck, then started scooting off the other side of the bed. She still held the cover over her and went into the bathroom to shower.*

[conner]

*While Nelly showered Conner got dressed. He wore a dark printed t shirt and dark wash jeans, with a black jacket over the shirt. He had a feeling that something would happen that day and so, just in case he stuck a small vile, no bigger than the average index finger, into his pants pocket. He did this while Nelly was in the shower so that she wouldn't know about it. He then started to roam the room and found some brochures that were on a desk, that he hadn't noticed before. He then started to read about the great city of Paris.*

[nelly]

*After her shower, Nelly stayed in the bathroom to dry her hair and do her makeup. She had also brought some clothes in her this time and changed in there. She put on a red turtleneck, short sleeved sweater and dark wash jeans. Nelly hoisted herself up on the bathroom counter and sat there, her chin in her hands as her elbows rested on her knees. Thinking about everything that they had done for their whole honeymoon, all the things she remembered and didn't remember, she decided one thing. She needed to turn her power off. No more using this power, even if accidental. Being a mutant was great for training or battle, but not when you are trying to enjoy a vacation. So, Nelly concentrated. Her eyes squinted as she dug deep inside herself. She was going to bury her power inside herself for the honeymoon. After, she'd figure out a way to retrieve it.*

[conner]

*Conner threw most of the brochure back onto the desk but one mentioned something that he had never thought of before. He wanted to tell Nelly but he waited. While she was getting ready he sat on the couch resting, with a glass of some mixes of wines that they had in the cabinet.*

[nelly]

*A small explosion sounded from the bathroom, the impact only shaking their room and the room across the hall. Nelly opened the door, holding her head, and continued to the couch. She fell back onto it and let her head rest on Conner's shoulder. Nelly's eye's were closed and she hadn't seen anything around, including the brochures or the wine.*

[conner]

*Conner instantly set down the wine glass and the brochure. He was now holding Nelly.*

What happned, are you ok?

*He wondered what that explosion was. But had to make sure that she was alright first.*

[nelly]

"I'm, uh, not going to be using my power any time soon."

*Her voice sounded tired and sore. She didn't have much strength to hold her head up when Conner moved. She was just a lump, barely holding herself rigid.*

"I just need a few minutes to sit here, then we can go out. I'll be fine, don't worry Conner."

*Nelly slowly leaned in to Conner and gave him a limp kiss. He would have been able to feel her lips shaking slightly.*

[conner]

*Conner was still worried for Nelly, but believed her. But he didn't understand why she wouldn't be useingher powers any time soon. Is it possible that she can turn it off? Conner just held her, forgetting about the brochure and the drink.*

I can wait.

*The city was not as important as Nelly's safty, to him.*

[nelly]

*Nelly just sat there, waiting for her strength to return. It was quiet in their room for the next few minutes. Finally, Nelly opened her eyes and looked at Conner. She somehow looked better. She smiled and stood slowly.*

"Alright, we can go now. I'll be fine."

[conner]

*Conner noticed that Nelly was looking exceptionally beautiful to day. But she always looked beautiful to him. When she said that she was ready to leave he nodded. He then downed the rest of the drink and set the glass back on the table.*

Lets go. Where do you want to go to today, I here that they have good food around here.

*Conner couldn't lie, he was hungry. The last time he ate something big was at breakfast yesterday. *

[nelly]

*Nelly smiled, her strength coming back to her. She knew of a little restaraunt a few blocks away that served delicious breakfast and coffee.*

"I know where we can eat. Don't ask me how I know, but it's a few blocks away. Won't take us but a few minutes."

*As they walked out the hotel and on the sidewalk, Nelly held Conner's hand in hers, not wanting to let go.*

[conner]

*Conner held onto Nelly's hand tightly. This was the city of lovers. Everywhere that he looked there was a different couple doing something different. Conner didn't feel as out of place as he normally did, he had the most beautiful woman by his side, holding his hand. When they reached the place Conner ordered some breakfast and coffee, then waited for Nelly to order.*

[nelly]

*Nelly ordered a small breakfast, consisting of yogurt filled with different fruits and a small coffee. She usually got so much more for breakfast because she was always starving in the morning, but she didn't feel so hungry this morning. Nelly kept silent after ordering, looking thoughtfully at Conner.*

[conner]

*Conner noticed her staring at him and he smiled back at her.*

So what do you think about going around to see more sites today?

*He wasn't sure how long their vacation would last and he wanted to take in every second of it. Just then the waitress brought both their orders and left. Conner then started to eat his breakfast.*
