"No IV..."
Somehow, some way, Maron had dug her way back to consciousness. Oh God, did she still hurt. Wait a minute, when had she passed out? She couldn't remember anything passed running into the forest to escape Marie. Where the hell was she? She didn't care open her eyes to find out. One thing she was sure of? She knew who both these men were. Phoenix, obviously, and Aaron. Shit. Aaron. Now that she knew that? She had one guess of where they were. Phoenix had brought her back to the Runaways.
"God... You're not going to try and be all spirit healer, again, are you?" The last thing she needed was Aaron telling her he could heal her psychological pain again. Yeah, great way to greet a kid when she's only eleven at the time. No wonder she'd been so edgy towards Aaron since then. God, it hurt to even talk! Curse Marie, for whatever it was she'd done....
Oh shit.. Now she remembered something rather important. Xenthron's bike. Stolen. "Shit.... Xenthron is gunna kill me..." Oh no, she wasn't worried about her broken arm, and slowly healing immune system. She was worried about Xenthron yelling at her for losing his bike.

"You shouldn't pass out in the middle of the woods...Maron right?" Phoenix said, acting his best to try and seem like he had no idea who this girl was. His allaby only said that Maron had told him her name, not to look into her eyes, and that she was from the runaways.
Biting his lip in anticipation, he wondered what Maron had meant about the runaways. She'd made it seem like they were satanists. He hadn't really asked anyone weather or not he could join the runaways. For a short amount of time at least Who should he ask? The leader type woman probably, Wicked.
The only problem was that he had no idea where to find this Wicked. If she was as harsh as Maron had told him, then she would probably come to them.

Back at the mansion, Vin was in her room, eyes closed and concentrating hard. She'd heard Logan's bike speed off, but sensed with her empathy that Logan wasn't the one riding it. It didn't take long to figure out who was.
After all the chaos with Marie was over, she decided to contact Phoenix. She hadn't had much experience with empathetic conversations, so she thought now would be a good time to practice.
"You know," she whispered, sending it through her emotions to Phoenix's, even though he was far away. She tried to make him relax also through her empathy but it wasn't working very well. He was too worried about Maron. "Logan is going to personally murder you if you get one scratch on that motorcycle."
She knew that he'd probably recognize her voice from when she'd caught him sneaking back into the mansion before.

"Shut up and sleep already. If you say no IV, then no IV. God, girl, you can be so annoying!" Soon, the poison dissipated, like Phoenix said and his light then focused on her other injuries. He found three ribs were cracked, two broken and one of her lungs was filling with blood.
"You seriously need to stop injuring yourself. Was it fun, having that little joyride on that damn bike? Seriously...and that girl. What are the freaking odds?" Aaron soon healed the cracked ribs and moved on to the broken ones. He rested his hands on her ribcage, the light making ripples in Maron's skin. Soon, the broken ribs were healed too.
"All right, I'll need you to turn over, so that I can heal something." Aaron didn't bother explaining what it was he was healing. Nobody here would understand how and why her lungs were filling with blood. Lots of medical terms.

Maron's heart just near skipped a beat when she heard Phoenix's voice. He was with her? Thank God... She had been so afraid Marie might go after him when she couldn't find Maron. But, what a minute! What was he saying? Acting as if they'd never met before now.... Why was he saying those things? Unless... He didn't want anyone to know about their relationship. Huh.. That wasn't a bad idea. If they found out she'd been sneaking out, even going as far as stealing Xenthron's bike, to see him, what would they think? Xenthron would be pissed, obviously. Conner to. Wicked? She'd probably just laugh...
"I try not to. Can't help it sometimes." Maron almost let out a sigh of relief, the pressure in her chest easing up a little when her ribs started to mend. But now? Now she had to deal with Aaron, who happened to hate her just as much as she happened to hate him.
Ignoring his first comment, and moving straight on to his second, she felt like kicking him. She would have to... If it were for having to keep her eyes shut like this. "Oh yeah. I purposely do this all the time!" She suddenly paused, wanting to scowl. "Hey! I'll have you know I did not fall off the bike!" Ugh... How she hated Aaron. He was so annoying! Such a know-it-all. If it weren't for his obvious talents, she wouldn't even go near the man.
Maron felt like argueing when he said to turn over, just to argue and make him mad. But... She decided against it. "Right. Something. Great explanation..." For as much as she hated Aaron, she had to admit, he made quick work. She felt just near back to normal! Obeying his command, she rolled over, just about yelping when she moved her arm, having forgotten it was broken up to this point. On her stomach now, she turned her head in Phoenix's direction, opening her eyes just a crack and smiled softly.

Aaron just grimaced when she argued back. But at least Maron was doing as she was told this time. When she had rested on her stomach, he put his hands on her back near her shoulder blades, where the lungs were located. He quickly drained them of the blood and finally found where one of the ribs had pierced them. Soon, Aaron patched the holes up and filled her lungs full of air, so that Maron could breathe more easily. Now, it was just the broken arm left. That was easy. But---
"Damn," he muttered to himself. He then looked at Maron seriously. "All right...I need to break your arm...again. The bone already healed itself...but in the wrong way. I need to re-break it in order for me to heal it properly. Can you handle that? If not, you'll need an anesthetic and you'll have to have an IV."

Nessa was taken aback when Wicked took her into the other room. "Wha...? What are you doing!?" But when Wicked told her about a tornado, she then stopped struggling and gave a small sigh.
But soon, Nessa heard the front door open and heard Aaron's voice. The wind gave a small howl as it battered against the hideout. Memories flooded her mind. Aaron's teasing smirk at the pub. His ice blue eyes melting with love. His lips against hers, passionate and warm. Suddenly, Nessa wanted to see him. Just one more time. The wind whipped up her hair as her feelings became stronger.

Maron’s smile was long gone, no trace of it left to prove it had ever even been there. “What?!” Her voice escaped almost like a squeak. He wanted to break her arm AGAIN?! What the hell! “I knew you hated me, but enough to break my arm again?!” She’d rather just let it heal the wrong way then let Aaron break it! Having it broken once a day was enough, but twice?!
Suddenly she was furious, as well as downright terrified. “You so did this on purpose! You’re the one that started to heal it!” He had started on her arm, and never finished. She knew that for certain. When she’d woken up her arm hadn’t hurt as much as it had before she’d passed out. He’d gotten distracted by something, and switched his attention. All. His. Fault!

Aaron grimaced as Maron yelled at him. Then he shrugged. "Anesthetic it is." He immediately plunged a syringe into Maron's leg, giving her a sedative that would make her unconscious in 10 seconds. He gave a sigh and started searching for any IV bags that they had in the infirmary. He knew the sedative wouldn't last long...maybe seven minutes at least. He needed to get a bag, get her on fluids, re-break her arm and heal it again in those seven minutes, before all hell broke loose...which meant Maron waking up. "Damn," he grumbled again. "This is going to be tight."

Art smiled back weakly for a moment.Maron was in so much pain because of him. He knew this was going to happen. He would meet the perfect girl and then his evil sister would appear out of no where and beat her up, bad. Okay, maybe he didn't know that much, but it was just his luck that something like this would happen. Then there was a voice in his head. Great.
Why don't you run off and tell Xavier? You had no problem doing it before. he thought, annoyed. That voice was the same voice of the empath that had caught him sneaking in after Maron and Art's first 'date'. He didn't have time to deal with a nosy x-man right now. Instead he listened to what Aaron had said. Damn, that was gruesome.
"I can help. I brought an IV and first aid kit with me." Phoenix said, knowing Maron wasn't going to be very happy with him for this. Before the healer could respond, Art was already coming back in with the bright red kit. He unzipped it, revealing sterile syringes. bags, tubes, and bottles(filled with sedatives). The kit also contained a fold-up pole to attach the IV to. He wasn't a doctor so he had no Idea what to do with this equipment.
Phoenix set the kit next to the healer. Returning to his place next to Maron. As wrong as it may have seemed to think at a time like this, Art did anyway; Maron was really hot when she was pissed. Not knowing what else to do, he took Maron's non broken hand. She was going to be in a lot of pain until Aaron administered the sedatives. It was a friendly gesture, not at all blowing his cover. He hoped.

"Thanks." Aaron meant it. This kid was smart and he saw that. He soon took the IV equipment and started setting it up. Soon, he found some wipes and wiped down Maron's arm that wasn't broken and stuck the needle in the vein at the crook of her elbow. Aaron gave a sigh and continued with his procedure. He rummaged through the first aid kit and found a mild anesthetic. It wasn't terribly strong, but it would do. Aaron stuck the syringe into the IV and pushed. Soon, the anesthetic was coursing through Maron's blood stream.
"All right...here comes the nasty part. You..." He pointed at Phoenix. "I need you to hold her down while I re-break the bone. She might wake up because of the pain, so in case she does, I need you to hold her." With a deep breath, Aaron took Maron's broken arm in his hands and looked at Phoenix, waiting for his confirmation.

Holy crap. Hold her down? Oh god how he hated doing things like this. Especially when it involved someone new that he really cared about. Nodding once, he stood up; placing one hand on her shoulder and one on her non-broken arm. He acted like a shield. So if Maron did wake up, he would be kicked, not Aaron.
"Okay, go." Phoenix said, clenching his jaw. He had her held down tight enough to where she wouldn't be able to move the upper part of her body. Though he was mentally preparing himself to get kicked, hard.

"All right. Here we go." With a swift motion, Aaron quickly brought the arm apart, making a loud, sharp crack. He smiled with relief. It was a clean break...no other damage was done other than the one he wanted to make. Soon, blue light made ripples across Maron's arm as he held it straight, making sure it didn't heal wrong.

Curse that Aaron, drugging her like this! Wasn't able to deal with her yelling at him, so he just randomly gave her a shot?! Stupid Aaron! Well.. It hadn't been that random... but still! Maron hated shots!
Again, she was out like a light, not quite as deep as when she'd passed out, but she most definitely wasn't awake anymore. If she had been? She probably would have grabbed something to hit Aaron over the head with. How dare he drag Phoenix into this! And how could Phoenix so willingly help her sworn enemy! Okay... They weren't sworn enemies... but they didn't get along. At all.
Her 'slumber' was cut short though. A little prick on her good arm itched, but that wasn't what dragged her back to consciousness. No, it was the sudden burning agony in her broken arm. Her eyes flew open, her lips parting to yelp so loudly it probably made the two mens' ears ring. Maron thrashed, like they'd expected, trying to kick at the source of the pain, Aaron to be exact, instead, her knee came in contact with some a little to firm to be Aaron. No way in hell was Aaron that strong.
Wait a minute then... Who the hell had she just kicked?!

Phoenix had expected her to thrash. He had also expected to be kicked. What he hadn't been expecting was to be kneed in the back of the head, hard enough to possibly knock him out. Damn. He stumbled for a second, loosing his grip on Maron momentarily.
"Shit!" Art said, feeling the headache coming on already. He cursed a few more times, sitting again next to Maron. She was conscious now, and most of the thrashing had been taken out on him. He wasn't actually mad at Maron, she didn't really have any control over who she kneed when her eyes were closed. Swearing was just a reflex.
Phoenix had his hand to the back of his head. It was like his hair had been completely drained of all color when Maron's knee came into contact with his head.
"Nice aim," he said, chuckling. Why was he laughing? He should be mad at Maron. How could he be, or stay, mad at Maron though.
