Strange things were going on in the mansion lately. Bobby was back, but now Kat was acting strange. There are members of the Nightshades in here, one of which he had only heard about. Alex was gone, Ian was acting strange, and Rose didn't remember anything. Thankfully he had his own thoughts to worry about, and that's why he was in the Danger Room.
"More drones today, David." a voice spoke over the intercome.
"Not today. Give me something...stable, like targets and dummies."
"Alright, targets and dummies coming up."
Panels opened in nearby walls, showing targets and dummies that were held up on small polls. David felt different thanks to Anya, more determined on what he had to do. He wasn't looking for revenge anymore, but a way to stop someone endangering the planet. He changed into his stone form and balled up a fist. He then looked to his fist, trying to think of what to do. Something small first he thought maybe try and make my hand a ball or something. He focused on how his hand would look as a ball, and tried to concentrate.

*Daphne was walking to the danger room and noticed that David was in there. So she slipped in and walked partway up the stairs, to the control center. She moved to a spot where he wouldn't be able to see her, but in turn that caused her not to see him. That was half the fun. She concentrated and created a shadow blob that moved to one of the windows. It poked where the eyes should be so that Daphne could see what he was doing.*
Just attack
*Her voice rang out, her thick Greek accent would tell him that it was her, if he could tell that her accent was Greek. There were so many people now from other countries that some people couldn't tell her accent from someone else's. But that was when Daphne started to speak Greek randomly.*

He was concentrating hard on changing his hand, but still no luck. He sighed as he lowered his arm, changing back to his normal form. He had to think of how he would be able to do this, and just concentrating didn't seem to be enough. When he heard a greek accented voice just tellin him to attack, he jumped and looked around.
"Huh? What? Who's there?"

*She walked over to where there was a slit window, the smile still apparent on her face.*

He tried to think about the word she used after "oops", but couldn't figure it out. He then looked up as a slit in the window appeared and saw Daphne. He had to smile when he saw her, always glad to see a friend. He had made a lot of friends here, but there were only a few people he was close to.
"I'm just trying something, no big."

*Daphne smiled at her reaction when she instinctively spoke Greek or apologize. She was glad that he remembered her. She did get curious though when he said that he was trying something.*
What are you trying to do?
*The shadow creature was now sitting on her head, it had taken the form of a sort of shadow cat. She didn't pay much attention to it though. She was much more curious on what David was trying to do. She experimented with her power as well, but she love to hear what people tried to do with their powers, then sometimes she got ideas of what she could do to work on her own power.*

He eyed the shadow figure as it landed on her head, she didn't seem to mind it, but it always made him stare. That's one thing about Daphne he would never understand, but again he didn't mind. Everybody here was different in their own way, but that's what brought them here in the first place. His stone form changed back into his normal form as he stood face to face with her, and when she asked what he was working on, smiled a little.
"Well, I'm trying to see if all I can do is change into a stone form, or be able to manipulate parts of my body into different items, like weapons or somethin."

*Daphne was intrigued by what David said he was trying to do. She had never thought of trying to do that. It was like when she first started to experiment with the shapes that she could make the shadows into. She loved to have it turn into small animals, then people thought that she had a small black pet. But she didn't always do that. One thing that she was still trying to work on is turning the shadows into a Cerberus looking dog. She loved the mythology of her country and respected those who believed in it.*
Cool, I think you can do it. Just keep working on it.
*Daphne then have him a big smile as the cat like shadow looked up at him then diapered from sight.*

He smiled when she showed confidence in him, but he was still confused on how he would do it. He changed back into his stone form and once again balled his hand into a fist. He continued to focus, trying to picture how his hand would look as a ball, but all it did was stay a stone fist. He sighed, scratching his head which made the sound of gravel rubbing on gravel. He realized what he was doing and smiled a little embarrassed.
"Um, sorry, tend to do that when I'm confused about somethin."

*Daphne let out a giggle, she thought it was funny when people did their habbits when it wasn't good for them to do.8
That's fine, there's no need to apologies for what you do naturally.
*It was almost like a natural reaction for her to pose whenever she was in front of a camera.*

He allowed his form to once again change back to normal. No matter what he did, he just couldn't put a finger on why he couldn't transform himself or a part of his body. Maybe he was just suppose to change to stone and nothing else. He sighed, giving the signal for the guy in the control room to take away the targets and dummies. He watched as the danger room became empty once more.
"I guess I'll have to study into it a little more before trying it out."

You'll get it eventually, I believe that you can do it.
*As a Paragon she had to work really hard. She was always pushing her limits and the teachers were always pushing her and the other paragons.*
Things don't always work out the first few times you try them.

He watched as she walked down the stairs, her smile still showing the support she held in her words. He nodded his head when she spoke about not getting things on the first try. It's true, since he had known many people who didn't get their powers on the first try. He waited for Daphne to reach the bottom of the stairs before walking up to her.
"How do you do it? I mean...you need to focus your powers to right?"

I've been practicing for years, and even then sometimes I lose them, and then they disappear.
*She smiled again, she had been trained for quite sometime to be a Paragon, and she had needed to get good at it.*

"Yeah...that."
He was mesmerized by the black orb that hung in the air for a moment and then disappeared. He looked to her with a smile. So she had trained for years? He didn't even think about it until a while ago when he and Anya were on the beach. That was the closest he had been to being happy.
"Wow, wish I had that long of training."
