"Exactly, which is why arguing with a Cajun is just as bad."
He winked at her again before he left, and when he returned and handed her the gloves. When she held out a hand to him, he took it and gave it a gentle squeeze. He then walked over and resumed his place across from her. When she mentioned her mother's reaction to her not shaking hands, he gave her a curious look.
"I thought you didn't like your mother anyway?"

She arched a brow at this, before realizing what he was talking about.
“Oh, no, sorry. I don’t like my mother, who gave birth to me and abandoned me when I was baby. My ma is the woman who raised me. She couldn’t have children so I was the closest she had. She died a few years back when I was runnin’ because of…this.”
She gestured to the air, but it was obvious that she was reffering to her mutation.

"Ah, my condolences."
He sat back on the bed a bit, looking Rogue over as he did. She was a beautiful young with an even more attractive accent. He never thought he would hear a voice from his own home states after leaving it, but was glad he was mistaken. He didn't let her looks or voice fool him, knowing from what Logan said, the kind of ability she had.
"It's bad to lose ones parents, but at least you have a family that you can be around right?"

Rogue merely shrugged at this. “She would have disowned me as soon as she found out I was a mutant anyway so I’m really not losin’ what I expected to have for much longer. Somehow the rest of my family doesn’t know what’s goin’ on, but, that’s for the best I’m sure.”
She noticed Remy looking her over and she shifted uncomfortably before glancing down at her shirt. To make sure she hadn’t dropped anything, which she hadn’t. She furrowed her brows in confusion before looking back up at him.
“What?”
Was the only thing she said to him. She wasn’t used to people staring at her. Since she had changed her hair it had become more common. ’Perhaps blondes really do have more fun.’ she thought to herself.
“If you’re talkin’ aobut the mansion then…yeah, I suppose. Have you ever been to Mardi Gras?” she questioned randomly. “I always wanted to go, but considering my ‘ability’ it wouldn’t be the best idea to go into a massive crowd to flash floats.”

"You just don't seem the power-stealin' type is all."
He smirked when she asked "what", never picturing the girl he was sitting infront of the be the Rogue that he talked about. When she spoke of how her mother would've disowned her, and her family better off not knowing what was going on, he had to nod his in agreement. Reactions to mutants can vary depending on what person saw what was going on. When she asked about mardi gras, he couldn't help but smile.
"Miss, you're lookin' at the card player of mardi gras."
He chuckled a bit, taking a deck of cards out of his pocket. He held his arms out, the deck in his right hand, and flipped the cards over his head from one hand to the other. He didn't take his eyes off of her, knowing the energy he was using allowed the cards to move in the direction he wanted them to. When all the cards were set in his left, he placed them back into his pocket.
"Maybe I'll give you a tour of the show, but I'm sure your boyfriend wouldn't like the idea of you flashin' the townfolk."

“I could show ya if ya like.” she offered, pulling her glove off with her teeth and extending her bare hand to him. She doubted he would take the offer, but if he did at least it would prove to him that she wasn’t just putting up an act to keep people from entering her personal bubble. She didn’t like her personal bubble. She was to the point that if she could she would run down the streets naked touching anyone she could if she didn’t hurt them.
When he just smirked, her eyes narrowed. “You were starin’ at me. I think I have a right to know why.”
When he brought out the playing cards she smirked and shook her head. “I can’t play poker to save my life. I can only bluff in life, not in games, even if money is on the line.”
Rogue smirked at this.
“It’s Mardi Gras. You can’t leave without beads and ya can’t get beads without liftin’ your top. I’ve heard all the stories. That and I’m not ashamed of what I gotta hide.”

"No thanks, I'll take your word for it, and I was only staring because I didn't expect such abilities to be coming from such a lovely young ."
He smirked, holding his hands up in defeat when she held out her bare hand. He didn't want to shake it and give her the power to blow things up. He knew how to control it, and to give even a little bit to someone who had never known what the power was, was like giving a fire er to a child. Things would end up messy, and he didn't want that on his conscience.
"I can teach you how to play a good game of cards." he said with a wink, "But I doubt your boyfriend would want me showing you around Mardi Gras and flipping your top to get things."

Rogue looked down at her bare hand before clamping her fingers into a fist. “Most people don’t. It would be a lot easier to deal with my power if I was hideous and no one wanted to touch me in the first place.”
She smirked and regloved her hand. “That’s too bad. Your power looked like fun, but I guess I should get used to my mother’s first.”
Rogue laughed at this. “If you wanna play poker, then I guess you can take what money I got. Fifteen dollars aint much of a buy in. I played strip poker once and lost. However, Bobby don’t know ‘bout that. That and the only players were other girls and one guy who is about as straight as a curly fry.”

"I'm sure that won't keep the boys from wanting to touch such a pretty face."
He smiled, taking Rogue's gloved hand and kissing the wrist. When she commented on his powers looking like fun, he had to admit she was right. Watching people fly off the ground when launching e cards, or blowing stuff up with his cane was pretty fun. He wasn't sure how Rogue would handle it, but he wasn't sure what her mother's powers were either.
He laughed when she said she played strip, and couldn't help but imagine her without clothing. He had to admit that she was a very beautiful young woman, and Bobby was a lucky man to have her. When she commented on her playing opponents, that made him laugh a bit more.
"Maybe I'll teach you when we get you back home. Believe it or not," he leaned forward a bit, as if keeping a secret, "Logan's a pretty good card player to."

Rogue shrugged.
“People can want all they want, but if they do then they’ll regret it. Chances are I will too. It aint fun havin’ memories of other people goin’ over an’ over in my head at random. Besides, I ain‘t pretty enough that them not bein‘ able to touch me would be a problem.”
Dispite how lovely everyone always said she was, Rogue always firmly believed otherwise. It may have been a defensive strategy to protect people from her with her lack of self confidence in her appearance.
She couldn’t help but blush when Remy kissed her wrist. He was a charmer, that was certain. He was nearly making her forget that she had a boyfriend, but Rogue wasn’t that shallow. Her mother’s powers were beginning to bring out the slut in her, which she hadn’t even known existed before. Clearly, she had been mistaken. However, she wouldn’t allow it to go further than thoughts. She hoped not at least. Rogue merely quirked a brow at his laughter. “We were honestly doin’ it for black mail. At least I didn’t lose. Shockin’ly, the gay guy did. I’ve seen more of him than I ever wanna see of anyone again.” she shuddered. She was unfortunate enough to be seated next to him as he sprawled his legs under the table, reveiling the piercing in hin genetailia. It was one of those things you didn’t want to look at, but at the same time it was impossible to look away due to the confusion it caused.
“’S long as it aint strip poker I could afford to lose a bit of money. Logan’s like a big brother to me. Youd have to kill me before I’d intensionally be naked in front of him.”

"I'm sure that others would disagree with you on your looks."
He smirked a bit, but couldn't help but feel a little sympathetic about her powers. Being able to take others powers was one thing, but being forced to have their memories was something else. He wondered if she had managed to get any memories of Logan, but didn't push to ask. He didn't think she would want to relive any of that man's memories as much as he wanted them back. Unfortunately, his curiosity about his friend got the better of him.
"So you get people's memories along with their powers? Did you get Logan's to?"
He listened to her describe her strip experience. It made him glad he was good at , having one a few strips of his own with many a . The only other games of he played were the kind that won him alot of money and got him into alot of trouble.

“And I suppose you’re one of ‘em. You’re charmin’, I’ll give ya that. You must get all the tail ya chase.”
When she was asked about Logan’s memories, she fell quiet. As if beckoned by Remy’s question, she saw a short, yet terrible flash of Logan laying in what looked like a fish tank, needles drilled deep into his bones and then releasing the scorching hot liquid metal into his bones. Unfortunately, for her, from her interaction with Logan, she knew of more of his memories than he did. It took her a moment to seep back into Remy’s apartment, her head still pounding from her beating.
She swallowed a lump in her throat before answering. “There are some things that people just need to leave in the past if they’ve been lucky enough to forget it. I wish I could tell Logan that, but then I’d have to tell him why and I don’t wanna be the barer of bad news, especially when I found the news in his brain.”

"Why thank you, but no, I'd rather let the ladies come to me."
He didn't want to tell her that the main lady he had been pursuing was the twin sister to Freya Elensar. That would've no doubt caused a conversation that was trapped in the middle of massive amounts of before/after questions. He watched as she seemed to space out from his question about Logan. When she finally came to, his own smile faded at her answer. He knew what she saw.
"You saw it...didn't you?"
It was something he knew all too well about. He saw it happen to more then his fair share of mutants, and even the one who was once called pool had fallen prey to the hands of Stryker. He heard tails of "The Ultimate Mutant" from some of the prisoners on the island, some who were dragged away and never returned. Others? Well...let's just say he'd rather not open up his memories about that either.

Rogue smirked at this.
“If the ladies chase after you they can’t be too lady like. Lucky for you, you don’t seem like my type. I’m old fashion and only give a man the time of day if he speaks to me like the lady I am and doesn’t expect a lot from me…mostly because he’ll never get it. Sometimes I don’t know why my boyfriend puts up with me. He can’t kiss me for more than three seconds, I’ll never be able to give him anythin’, includin’ kids. Hell, I’ll die a virgin so how could I give him anything?”
At the mention of ‘it’ she was fully aware of what he was speaking of.
“You mean how Logan was merely an experiement to make something’ terrible and hideous? Yeah, I’ve seen it. I could probably tell him all he wants to know aobut his past, but most of it I think he’s better off not knowin. I’m not willin’ to tell him how he was deceived by the woman he was in love with, and how he and another woman he was involved with were constantly at each others throats, but never bein’ able to die because they both heal. It’s just too much to tell.”

"You never know, Rogue, something may happen to allow you such pleasures."
Granted he wasn't one for kids, figuring there was too much time and effort needed. He reached over, giving her a small pat on her knee after he spoke. Though he did have his sights on Tari, that didn't mean he couldn't do his best to put smiles on other faces. Rogue seemed to be lacking in the smiling department, so it was only right he did his best to help, as a friend of course. But what caught his attention was what she had found out about Logan.
"How could you remember all that when Logan doesn't even know?"
She seemed to know more about Logan then Logan knew about himself, and she's only known him for a couple years. Even Xavier was finding it hard to get Logan to remember things, but when she spoke of his relationships, it didn't take him long to realize who she was talking about.
"Yuriko." his smile faded again, "She was one of them, one of Stryker's prisoners. After what happened at that island, she escaped with all the other mutants. I'm not sure what happened to her after that."
