There were many Nightmares. However, none were really as…laid back and fun loving as Xexila was. Her power may have had something to do with that. She mostly used them as an interrogation method, and were often helpful when she needed to get out of somewhere in a pinch. After all, a drunken person is much less likely to notice someone who is not supposed to be there is present.
However, this did make her a bit of a pariah in her association. Not many people were willing to run off to the bar with her. Many of the boys did not even flirt with her, which she had to admit made her feel much less confident in herself. She would never openly admit it, but she truly enjoyed leaving the Nightmares, even if it was for a short time to watch humans in populated areas, such as shopping malls and movie theatres. Today, she had decided to go to both. Unfortunately, she was seated behind a lovey-dovey couple who were constantly kissing and cuddling during the film. It made it quite difficult for her to pay attention to the movie. However, she was unsure of if she was annoyed by them or jealous.
When the film finished, she was the quickest to leave the theatre. She found a place that gave her an excellent view of the outdoor mall. After about ten minutes of watching everyone, she finally stood to leave, sad to be returning to her old life. On her way out, she encountered a very intoxicated old man who slammed into her after a failed attempt of jumping up a few steps with a beer in his hand. As you can imagine, he fell quickly and hit the ground with a loud thud. Her dress was ruined, but it wasn’t as if the drunk idiot had meant to hurt her. She exhaled a slightly annoyed sigh and closed the distance between them, asking him if he were all right, if he wanted to sit down and most importantly if he wanted coffee. That was one thing she wished was different about her power. She could make people as drunk as she wanted. If she wished, it would be a simple task to kill someone with alcohol poisoning, but she could not make someone reach their hang over.
Once she was sure the old man was all right, she prayed that no other nightmare had seen her and advanced to her car, hoping that he beer stained back was not attracting much attention.

Sin had never been one for films in movie theaters. Unless of course a cute girl was accompanying him. If that wasn't the case though, they were boring. Just pictures on a screen. They were particularly easy to fall asleep to. So, he really had only seen the last part of the movie. When he woke up, he had found that the theater was pretty much deserted. He made his way out and searched for the keys to his car.
He spun the keys around his index finger as he saw the car. Now the world was full of cars. Most wouldn't stand out in a crowd, or turn any heads. That definitely was not the case with Sin's car. It was an eye popping red Ferrari, freshly waxed. The top was down and the inside was hand crafted with leather. He'd never been much of a car person, but speed was something he liked. This car was fast, that's for sure.
He put his keys into his pocked, a small smile on his face. He looked like some kind of model. James was wearing a white v-neck with some black slacks. Along with a sleek leather jacket. Darkly tinted sunglasses covered his eyes. They were fiery and red, like the embers on the tip of a cigarette. The sunglasses hardly dimed the light due to his extremely sharp eyesight. They did stop him from being exposed for what he really was.
As he reached the car, Sin looked up from the paved lot. He pushed himself up over the door, landing him in the drivers seat of the Ferrari. It looked like a scene from a movie. He turned his head to the side, seeing a girl that looked to be about his age. She was attractive. James pulled his glasses down a little, looking at her. "Want a lift?" he asked rather slyly. He was no stranger to the flirting game. He pushed the button on his keys to unlock the passenger door. As if bating her.

Xexila was more of an off-roading girl, dispite her girly appearance. Her car was a somewhat new jeep, but considering how many times she had almost taken the vehicle off the edge a cliff. She certainly loved adrenaline. She walked behind Sin, muttering complaints about the ‘dumb ass that ruined her dress’. Luckily, she was parked right in front of the exit. She opened the back door and pulled out what looked like a duffle bag, filled with clothes in cases of ‘emergencies’ like this one. She pulled a pair of denim shorts out of the bag and a Nine Inch Nails tee shirt. Xex slipped the shorts on under her dress, further exposing her taut creamy legs. Her top, she was less hesitant about. She pulled the dress off over her head and quickly swapped it for the tee shirt.
She leaned against the car next to hers and examined the dress. It was ruined for sure, and she was unhappy about this. After all, it was only the first time she had worn it. This time Sin did catch her eye and she sent him a playful smirk before tossing her ruined dress in the garbage.
A riot from below caught her attention, but she was not quick enough to steer from the insanely sober, yet stupid frat boy that plowed into her, nearly knocking her off her feet. She composed herself once he and his ‘buddies’ passed and told herself that nothing she could do could possibly make them more imbecilic when Sin asked her if she wanted a ride. She smirked. “I’m not as pretty as I was a few minutes ago. I’m sure you can find someone better dressed for the occasion.” She truly wished her dress was not ruined. Then she would have been more than willing to take a ride. “Were I better dressed I would be more than willing to go for a ride. That’s a nice car. What you got under the hood?” that was one thing stereotypes bugged her about. Just because she was a pretty girl that didn’t mean she couldn’t know about cars.

Sin liked when a girl had some knowledge about cars. It was a turn on, definitely. He reached into his pocket again, tossing the keys to the girl. He'd never been a very safe driver. In fact, he enjoyed driving as recklessly as possible. Now that he saw her face, he remembered seeing her in the theaters. She seemed to be having quite the horrific time in there. He also remembered the drunken man spilling his beer on her. "I couldn't really care less how your dressed," he told her, grinning flirtatiously.
New York was a wonderful city. The city that never slept, some said. It was all so exhilarating. IT was a thrill. He enjoyed testing the boundaries of sanity in places like this. He himself had almost driven of a cliff. At the time though he'd been extremely intoxicated. That was the funnest part though, wasn't it? "Why dont you find out for yourself?" Sin told the girl, moving into the passengers seat himself.
James took off his glasses now. He put down the visor, blocking out the sun. His eyes seemed to bore into people when he had control over fire. In some ways, he compared himself to a broken thermometer. Spiking up and dropping down at random times. IT was very inconvenient. It was especially hard to explain when it was below zero and you were still burning hot to the touch.

She smirked as she caught the keys. “Well…I suppose I could.” she concealed her excitement quite well. This offer to her would be the equivalent of giving almost any other girl in the world a shopping spree. She slid into the driver’s seat, examining everything before she finally pulled the seatbelt across her chest and clicked it into place. She had been given too many tickets to not wear the belt.
“I have to warn you,” she stated as she put the car into drive. “I’m not like most girls.” before he could reply she allowed the car to slowly creep a few feet forward. He may have thought her a feather foot, but this wasn’t the case. She needed to get a small taste of the car before flooring it, which is exactly what she did. She only slowed in time to stop before entering the street, which she did almost gracefully, shooting the gap between plenty of other cars and zooming past lights seconds before they turned red.
“It’s nice for in the city, but what about the canyon?” she questioned, hardly paying attention to the road, yet streaking past everyone , well over the speed limit. If she were to get pulled over in his car, she would merely do what she always did while driving another person’s car, stolen or not.
“I’m Xexilia by the way. Everyone calls me Xex though. Some idiots call me Sex, but that’s because they know they won’t get it from me and they have wishful thinking. What’s your name?”

I suppose i could.. usually meant why did it take you so long to ask? At least thats what it meant to Sin. He enjoyed doing spontaneous things like this. But at how slow she started out, he almost let out a sigh. Then she floored it. Damn, she didn't mess around. If he didn't no any better he might think she was intoxicated.
James wasn't that much of a drinker. Seldom did he drink, actually. But when he did consume alcohol he didn't care about the consequences. He seemed rather bull headed. He acted first and thought later. Once she started driving he just smiled at first. He could tell that this was going to be a fun night
"I'm not looking for an ordinary. I'm looking for extraordinary. he told her. He didn't even bother putting on his seatbelt. He could always charge the tickets on his adoptive parents credit cards. We can go where ever you wanna go," his smile turned a little more mischievous.
He was a pretty laid back person. He didn't really care about the small stuff like seat belts. Safe driving. Consuming dangerous amounts of alcohol. He lived for the fun, exciting, thrilling things. "Sin." he said shortly. His nickname had originated from the fact that he burned down a church, accidentally. Ever since everyone just called him Sin.

She smirked at his comment. “Well if that’s the case, you may have found it. I am pretty fantastic, if I do say so myself.” She caught herself and paused before adding, “I’m only sarcastically full of myself, I promise.” this was actually a very truthful statement. She enjoyed talking herself up in a joking manner, yet when others did it for her, she became flustered and embarrassed. It was very strange, but she didn’t mind.
Xexila smirked. “My dad used to fix cars for a living. He would probably die if he saw me behind the wheel of one…I think I’ve just thought of a location to go to.” It was an empty threat, but she still knew for a fact that if she had the chance to saver her parents’ lives or buy an ice cream cone, she would take the ice cream. That may have sounded terrible, but after her father attempted to sever her arm with a broken beer bottle, she wasn’t exactly fond of her family. The memory made her uncomfortable and she was happy when he returned his name for hers.
“Sin, huh? Which one? Gluttony, lust, wrath, envy, sloth, greed or pride?” she paused again. “Sorry, I tend to make stupid comments.” For the first time, she had no choice but to stop at a light and she wrinkled her nose in distaste.
“So, do you often pick up random girls or am I the first?” she asked coyly.

"From what I've gathered, you don't need to be sarcastic," Sin said smoothly. He was a rather smooth talker at times, though he didn't notice it. He liked this girls attitude, she said what was on her mind and made it seem funny. She was sort of, suttley blunt. It was a nice change. She was no pale princess or spray tan city girl.
Her dad worked on cars? Was that a past tense? Maybe something had happened to him. Maybe he was dead. James had a habit of jumping thinking the worst. It always helped lessen the blow of something gone terribly wrong. As they stopped at the light his hair bounced back into place. He thought about how badly the soft bronze hair needed to be cut. His hair curled the way vines did when they got too long, in looping tendrils. Usually he would keep it short, but recently he'd just been too lazy.
Sin chuckled at her question. "Well how can I choose? They are all so much fun..." he told her, smirking. It was purely accidental when he had burned down that church. The Priest had called him a demon after seeing the red pigment of his eyes. One thing lead to another, tempers rose, and a fire erupted. The memory wasn't a pleasant one. He'd been remembering that moment in his life quite a lot lately.
His smile broadened a little. "Surprise me.."

She smiled at this. “I don’t need to be sarcastic, but I choose to be. People who are genuinely full of themselves get on my nerves so when I appear to be full of myself, I’m generally being sarcastic. Especially the stupid little princess girls who never need to buy a drink at the bar and know it. Or the ones who act helpless and are needy for attention. I told you I‘m not like most girls.”
She smirked. “I hear you there. If there is a god then when I die I am definitely going to hell. At least it will be fun though. I like it rough.”
Xexilia smirked. “What kind of a surprise would you like? I’m sure I could shock you in many ways. Some might not be so nice. Others…baby, it’ll blow your mind.”
She winked at him playfully before flooring it again. At this point, Xexilia wasn’t even really sure where they were going, only that they were heading out of the city.

There was a nod in response to the girls comment about sarcasm. At her next statement, he looked thoughtful. James often pondered the existence of a heaven and hell. It all seemed so far fetched though. He had plenty of theories. Some could say he was somewhat of an atheist. He didn't preach his beliefs on subjects such as these on subways though.
"The way I see it," he started, pausing as if he was carefully selecting his next words. "We're already going to hell. So why not break all the rules?" he said, proposing the idea to her. He looked up at the gun metal sky. The moon seemed to be like a half lidded eye. It was the only thing in sight. When you were in New york, the night lights blocked the gleam of the stars. It was sad.
At her next question, he grinned yet again. "Baby, if its not rough it isn't fun." Sin slid on his sunglasses in one fluid movement. There was no such thing as a bad surprise. It was only a matter of how prepared you were for whatever was coming next. You had to be one step ahead of the game.

She smirked at his proposition, “Who’s to say I haven’t already done so? However, it’s always fun to do old things with new people.”
Finally, they pulled out of the city and onto the freeway, where she really let loose. Had you thought she was insane before…you were in for a surprise. She merged onto the street and rather than staying in one lane like almost everyone else, she wove recklessly though the traffic, yet managed to ensure that the car didn’t get as much as a scratch.
Xexilia laughed. “You’re not quoting Lady GaGa are you? I’m more of an AC/DC fan myself. I appreciate a guy who’s not shy about how big his balls….now I wanna listen to that song.” She was speaking of the song, of course. It was her favorite AC/DC song after all.
“So what do you wanna do? We could steal a car, but I don’t see why we would wanna do that.” she decided it was best to leave out the fact that she had stolen cars like his quite a few times before. She was actually quite good at it. She wasn’t lying when she said she wasn’t like other girls.

"Very fun," were the only words Jamison said in response. His hair whipped back as she 'let loose'. He let out a yowl of amusement at the blaring sounds of cars as the zoomed by. This was a stunt he would pull regularly. It was amazing that he hadn't totaled his car in the past two months since he'd had it.
No way. He'd really just quoted Lady Gaga. It wasn't like he'd ever confess that he knew most of her songs by heart. After a while of listening to those bubblegum radio stations you learned to. ACDC? A girl that isn't afraid to listen to some Dog Eat Dog.." Sin sounded impressed. He himself had quite a colorful music back round. Like most, he'd gone through the heavy metal and punk rock stages. The Rap and obviously, bubblegum. Tough he'd never stuck with one particular genre.
"Steal a car..." Jamison pondered it for a moment. Stealing a car with this wily one could be fun. He realized she was probably speaking with sarcasm, but still. "Who doesn't love a high speed chase. Maybe we could rob a bank while were at it?" he suggested with a good amount of sarcasm in his voice. Not enough to make him seem like a smart ass though.
The idea of doing minor and major crimes such as these brought back memories. Maybe it was a phase that he was still going through? He remembered tagging street signs and shoplifting. That was kid stuff though and no longer as entertaining. He remembered stealing cars and motorbikes in his time as well. These to were beginning to seem like a lot of trouble.

Xexilia couldn’t help but laugh when Sin release a howl. Personally, she didn’t howl. After all, that was a wolf’s job. No, she yipped, just like a fox. After all, in a way that was a bit of what she was. However, she didn’t. Not now anyway.
She pursed her lips to keep back a devilish smile. “Dog eat dog is good, but my personal favorite is Big Balls. I seriously know that song by heart. It’s sort of sad, considering what it’s about. My co-workers constantly make fun of me when that song comes on.” Her co-workers were really more like her big brothers who would occasionally pick on her. After all, she was the only girl in the auto shop.
Xexilia shook her head. “A car I can do. Even I’m not ballsy enough to rob a bank. I can’t go to jail. I’m too pretty.”
“Don’t worry, we can steal a car when we don’t have one. I don’t steal for joy rides anymore. Just in cases of emergency, wich don’t really happen very often. But hotwiring a car is a good skill to have every now and then.”

Co-workers? Sin wondered what her occupation was. He stifled the urge to ask her. Having full-fledged conversations about work was just such a buzz kill. It wasn't like he'd been able to keep a steady job. His attempts had always ended in burning the place down or freeze everyone to death.
A ghost of a smile spread across his lips. "Oh I don't blame you. Even I can't help but wail it out when any of their songs come on," he thought about the fun times he'd had at parties. Being highly intoxicated combined with wrapping paper and a radio led to a strange sight in the morning.
"Fair enough..." he said with fake disappointment as he hung his head for a moment. Of course if you did get sent to prison, I'd just blow it up," Sin hinted to his mutant abilities, winking a shaded-eye.
So if stealing a car and robbing a bank are out... what then?" he asked, tilting his head with mischievous curiosity.

She giggled. “Oh god, you should have seen me at my sixteenth birthday party. I was plastered as hell and the party was in my friend’s aunt’s club so I got up on the bar and started doing a table dance because I was convinced it would make everyone jealous. Yeah, I fell off the bar, face planted on a stool and didn’t wake up until morning. The only reason I know this is because my friend taped it. I don’t remember anything from that night so I know that I had a blast.”
Her attention was caught him saying he’d blow it up. Was he a mutant too? She bit her lip and smiled. “We could be like Bonnie and Clyde short of the rain of gunfire ending. That and I know for a fact I’m more attractive than bonnie was. That and I’m not as stupid.”
Xexilia was thinking the same thing, but the only thing that came to mind would make her seem like a slut so she was reluctant to say it. However, she said it anyway. “We could drive up the canyon and make out. Or just go somewhere. Or we could go to a bar, but only a few. There are a couple of bartenders who are convinced I owe them money because I could outdrink them.”
