Rory shook his head, "I'm not trying to confuse ye. It's just.. an inside joke." He said glancing back at her again, "...Very inside." This was muttered very quietly, mostly to himself. Honestly, he didn't like keep secrets from Freya at all. She had always been so open with him, if he wanted to know something, she would tell him and tell the truth. Then there was him, so secretive and told her lies to hide the truth. Sometimes he felt like just explaining everything to her, but it would probably be safer for her if she didn't know.
All in all Rory's mood was getting brighter every second. Between being home, not being in a fight, and with Freya getting in a better mood; this day was going to turn out alright for him... Or so he hoped. If nothing else, he hoped that Freya would still be in a good mood through the night and at least until to morning tomorrow, so she could see this land without the fog.
"Oh yeah." Rory said with a slight wink, and just as he did a hole exploded in the door just beside Rory's head; barely missing both he and Freya. Rory glanced back at Freya with another grin, "Well... He's home." Suddenly the door into the mansion burst open and a very large man was standing in front of them with a shotgun pointed at Rory's head. He was as tall as Rory, but more bulky, though not very muscular. His face was covered with a beard, but bright blue eyes were still very clear in the light that was coming from the building. Really, the man looked like a lumberjack.
"OI! GERROFF ME LAND ER'LL BLOW YER BRAINS IN!" His voice was deep and gruff, and he had an incredibly strong Irish accent. Rory glanced at Freya and shook his head slightly, as if to say don't worry. "Your land? And how exactly would ye blow me brains in? Wouldn't ye blow them out?" Rory asked calmly, as if he didn't have a shotgun in his face. The man paused for a moment before lowering the gun slightly, "...Phantom?" THe man said, before dropping the gun completely, "RORY!... An' oo is this fine young lass?" The man asked, holding a hand out to Freya. Rory leaned over and whispered in Freya's ear, "Don't touch him..."

"Oh." Was all she said to the comment. She wasn't in the mood to question it any further then that, not to mention she'd probably only confuse herself even more then she already was. Not to mention she wasn't sure she wanted to know if he was so reluctant to share. Again, when he was ready to share, he would.
Freya didn't flinch, or really react in any way, when a shotgun round went flying past their heads. All she did, was blink, slowly looking back at Rory. "Is that how he greets all his visitors..?" She smiled a little, shaking her head as the door was yanked open.
The exchange between Rory and this man made her smile a little more, all traces of her depression suddenly gone, as if non existent. It almost made her laugh, refreshing to see Rory acting this way with others. When the attention was drawn to her though, she raised an eyebrow. Especially when Rory told her not to touch him. "Why not?" She kept her voice down, so only he would hear, before raising it again to address this strange man. "Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?"

"Nah, only the one's he likes." Rory said with a nod. It was true, back in the day when they were both in the Agency, this man was twice as aggressive as Rory. He'd beat the people he liked and mutilate the people he didn't. Of course, both he and Rory had come a long, long way since their Agency days. Freya didn't really need to know any of this though. However, while Rory wouldn't tell her, this man might... He tended to talk... a lot.
Rory glanced at the lumberjack of a man's outstretched hand, then at Freya and shook his head slightly. This was both to stress the point not to touch him, and almost as if to say 'I'll tell you later.' After a moment the man dropped his hand to his side, realizing what Rory had told Freya, "Aye, eh s'pose tha' is a bit rude o' me, eh? Name's Angus... An' eh see Rory already told ye not te touch me." The man said with a grin.
"Well yeah, I've gotten better since I've been gone... Not stupid." With that Angus laughed again, though Rory's face stayed as blank as it usually did; of course, to those who knew him well enough they would know he was probably smiling on the inside. "Oi! Ge' inside... Before the ghosts come ou' te play." The man said, ushering Rory and Freya into the house and abruptly closing the door behind them. Inside everything was well lit, and tastefully but lavishly decorated. The warm and welcome interior was a drastic contrast to the intimidating and haunting exterior.

Freya felt like laughing. Great, another trigger happy man! Only this one was literally trigger happy! But it did make her wonder, if this was how he greeted people he liked, what would he do to people he didn’t like? A sort of scary thought..
But she was most curious about why she wasn’t supposed to touch the man who introduced himself as Angus. Was he a mutant and it had to do with his power? Or was it something else? It irked her a little, which was instantly visible on her expression. “With no explanation as to why.” She was almost scowling.
She quickly sighed, shaking her head a little. Stupid good for nothing mood swings… Before she could do anything else though, they were ushered inside, the door closed so quickly it almost shut on their backs. The interior and exterior were near complete opposites, to the very definition of the word. Her attention was only on the furnishing for a few moments, before she looked at Rory again, an eyebrow raised as if to ask if he wanted to explain now.

Rory ignored the looks from Freya as they stepped into the house, he had already let her know that he would tell her later, and so he would. He wasn't going to talk about Angus while the man was standing right beside them. Not that the guy would care, but Rory still wasn't going to do it. At least not right now. "So, what was with shot through the door? Ye nearly killed me." Rory asked, turning back to Angus, and reaching for Freya's hand again.
"Nearly? Well... Eh missed then." There was no grin or laugh on the man's face this time, it was obvious he was completely serious. Yet Rory was grinning because of it, "By the way? 'ow di' ye know I'd be 'ere?" He asked as he lead Freya and Rory into the very large living room where there was already a fire going and several large comfortable chairs around it.
"I followed the smell of cheap brandy." Rory said as he walked in and motioned for Freya to sit down with him. The man seemed offended at first, but after a moment nodded and pulled out a large bottle of amber liquid beside the chair he sat in, "Fair 'nuff... So, lass... Yer with Rory, eh?... Has he tried te kill ye yet?" He asked with a laugh, to which Rory responded with a glare.

Freya almost sighed, shrugging. Looks like she’d just have to wait until later to find out, oh well… She thought about keeping her hand from his, but instantly found herself unable to go through with the tormenting plan, seeing as Rory wouldn’t do anything about it with Angus in the room. She just sighed fully this time, taking a half step closer to Rory as he held onto her hand once more.
Apparently this man, Angus, knew about Rory’s power, which made sense once you thought about it, no wonder Rory trusted the man... Who looked dead serious about having tried to kill Rory.
The two seemed to be caught up in catching up, all of which seemed rather boring in Freya’s mind, and so her attention was pulled towards taking in this new room and sitting when Rory motioned towards her. The only thing she seemed to really notice though… was the fire. She stared at the flames, her thoughts sober. Ever since these extreme mood swings of hers, her powers had been out of whack a little, sometimes when she tried to start a fire she caused near explosions, or the flame just wouldn’t catch at all.
A fact she hadn’t yet told Rory about….
Her attention was returned when she heard the word ‘lass’, used to it from Rory always calling her it. She slowly blinked, before suddenly smirking when she realized what was being said. “I think he’s far too busy worrying about me killing him… again.” She looked at Rory out of the corner of her eyes. How many times had he died because of her since they met? She’d lost count quite a while ago. Not to mention some of the times they weren’t even sure if he had actually died.

Rory had to admit, being back in this house and seeing Angus again was a bit refreshing. It was good to know that the Agency hadn't gotten to him yet. However, it also brought back painful memories for Rory, memories that had never bothered him before he left to help the X-Men and started dating Freya. It was a past that he never wanted to come back, though, it was obvious Angus didn't want it back either. They were safe here though, Rory knew that, this place had never been found and never would be.
His attention was brought back to reality as he heard Angus and Freya talking, grinning a bit at what Freya said. Though she wasn't directly responsible for Rory's deaths, there had been quite a few of them that she was the cause for them, "Well no wonder 'e likes ye then... Eh think ih turns 'im on when ye kill 'im." The man said with another laugh, it was getting obvious to Rory that Angus was already getting drunk... Some things never change.
"Aye, eh remember back in the day... Rory used to kill people tha' could take on entire armies with their powe-" Angus stopped talking as he glanced at Rory and caught the glare he was giving him, so he knew he had to stop telling stories. "Agh, but I'm ramblin' on. I'd show ye to yer rooms... But it's yer house, ye can find 'em yerself!" Angus said, looking at Rory, obviously hurt that Rory had made him stop telling stories. Which was Angus' favorite pasttime when he started drinking.
The man got to his feet and headed out of the room, "I think he's getting senile from being alone to long." Rory said with a slight smirk, trying to change the subject from everything the man had just said, "I'll show ye the room then I'll grab the bags." Rory said, standing up and holding out a hand to Freya.

It was the strangest thing talking to someone that had known Rory before coming to the school, someone that probably knew Rory better then she did! It made her wonder what sort of things this man could tell her about Rory that he was unwilling to share himself. Again though, Rory would tell her when, or if, he was ready. She'd respect his wishes to stay secretive. For now at least.
Rory's grinning only made her grin a bit more, slowly looking at Rory out of the corner of her eyes. "That must be it." She would have added that he always seemed to fall for her even more every time they went through a near death experience, but wasn't sure how either men would take it, especially since they were both the 'masculine' type.
When Angus continued though, she blinked, her eyebrows raised. First because she heard the 'Back in the day' part and just about laughed because it sounded like such a grandparent like way to start a story, and second because of the rest of what he said. No wonder Rory was so efficient when it came to killing. Rory though didn't seem to want those kinds of stories shared... But instantly she wondered what Angus' reaction would be if he found out Freya was one of the mutants able to take out an entire army...
"Hmm... Maybe. But it does make sense." She raised an eyebrow again, but finally shrugged, dropping the subject. Now, she just smiled, accepting the hand he held out to her and rising to her feet. "I can see now why you like him so much." She didn't go into much detail. The man was entertaining, and like Rory in many ways.

Rory watched Angus as he walked out of the room, heading for where he knew the kitchen to be. Most likely the man was going to go drink himself asleep, like he usually did. Though, he couldn't exactly blame him, Rory used to be the same exact way. Drinking used to be the best way to forget. He found a better way to forget though, but this new way made him even more distracted than when he was drinking. Of course, Freya had more of an effect on him than any alcohol ever could.
As Freya took Rory's hand he began leading her back to the main hall, then to a large set of stairs. "Aye, he's ok... He talks too much though." Rory said with a nod, "And I don't trust him... But I don't trust him, less, than I don't trust most people." It was true, Rory trusted very, very few people. He just trusted Angus slightly more than most, but never all the way. He knew Angus was the same way with Rory to, so it worked out.
Soon they were upstairs, and walking down another hall lined with doors, then up another set of small stairs that led to a single door; which Rory entered. Inside there was a large double bed, a couch, and another roaring fire. However, the hospitality in the room was broken by the variety of weapons that lined the walls, from guns to swords, it looked like a mini armory. "Ah... I missed this place." Rory said happily, pulling Freya inside.

"Oh. That makes perfect sense." She rolled her eyes a little. Sometimes Rory made no sense, thankfully this time she could figure out what he meant. After all, he didn't trust many people, and it wasn't exactly an easy thing to earn the trust of someone like him.
Rory was leading them up flights of stairs, knowing exactly where he was wanting to go. It only surprised her a little, seeing as this was his house after all... But as it seemed he hadn't exactly been here in a while. Still... As Rory opened the door to the room it seemed they'd be staying in, she couldn't help but chuckle, shaking her head. "I should have expected something like this." All the weapons... An armory in a bedroom. So Rory like... Any other sort of 'decorations' would have shocked Freya probably.

Rory looked around the room with a slight grin stuck on his face. It had been a long time since he had come here, which was obvious from the dust on everything in the room, but none of the weapons had a speck of dust on them. It was obvious to Rory that Angus had been taking care of all the weapons in here... If not using them occasionally to defend the house. It was one of the reasons he let him hide here, he would trust no one else with this much armament.
"What do ya mean by that?" Rory asked with a raised brow, turning to Freya as she spoke, "Some people feel comfortable locking their doors at night... I feel more comfortable sleeping in a room with enough explosives and ammuntion to take on a country." He said with a shrug.
"Oh I forgot to mention..." He said with a sly grin, wrapping his arms around Freya and pulling her tightly against him; pressing his lips against hers for a moment before pulling away, "This bed is far more comfortable than a sleeping bag... Especially for two people." He said with a wink, referring to when they were alone on the Himalaya's.

Freya raised her own eyebrows at the same moment he did, as if to mock him. "So it'd be unadvicable to use my power in here?" She was smirking again. It seemed Rory liked putting her in situations where she couldn't use the full extent of her power. "Like the Himalayas and bank all over again." She felt like laughing a little.
She was full on grinning though when he suddenly pulled her against him, his arms wrapped tightly so she couldn't escape... Which had become a rather frequent occurrence with her mood swings. Her grin softened a little when he kissed her, suddenly annoyed when he pulled away. So he felt like teasing her when she was in a mood to be intimate? Great. "Oh really? How would you know?" She raised an eyebrow in her own playful way.

Rory had to laugh a little, he hadn't thought about her using her powers in this room. Though he couldn't see why she would, it would be very... interesting, if she did. "Very unadvisable..." He said with a slight grin, imagining what would happen. Rory wouldn't mention to her that under the bed was over forty pounds of C4. It still needed a detonator to be activated, but with her powers, no detonator is required. The explosion from that would probably wipe out the entire mansion, not to mention any one still inside. Talk about going out with a bang...
"Well... Just look at the size of it!" Rory said with a nod to the bed, "I've never actually slept in it with anyone... So I guess we better test it out." He said with a sly smile, hooking his hands under Freya's legs and picking her up slightly so that her legs were wrapped around him. As he slowly carried her toward the bed, he leaned in and pressed his lips against hers once again.

If Freya had known about where the explosives happened to be, she really would be more then a little nervous, she'd be far to worried about keeping their intimacy at a level that wouldn't raise her body temperature. As it was though... Since her mood swings had been depriving both of them of most intimacy lately. Today though? She just happened to be in that rare mood.
She was smirking again, as she leaned into him. "Oh, I see. Well then, I guess we should." Freya just about giggled when he scooped her up, her legs instantly wrapping around him with out a second thought. It was probably the first time he'd heard her giggle since her mood swings began. Rory had seemed to master the art of walking and carrying her like this at the same time, because he was leaning in to kiss her around. With a sigh she wrapped her arms around his neck, both so she didn't somehow fall, but also to bring herself closer, deepening the kiss far quicker then Rory had seemed willing to.

Rory didn't say anything back to Freya, he was far to busy kissing her to respond. It had been a while since they had been like this, too long in Rory's opinion. Which was actually odd considering when they were first dating they were always all over each other, up until a couple weeks ago. Rory didn't care though, they were finally being intimate again now, that was all that mattered.
Though, Rory wasn't quite as good at carrying her and kissing her at the same time as he thought. As he was just about to set her on the bed, he tripped on the rug. Luckily they were close enough that he simply fell on the bed. Though instinct still took over and he twisted in the air so that he fell first instead of Freya. The kiss was, unfortunately broken, in the fall so Rory looked up at Freya who was now on top of him and grinned, "I really need to practice that." He said with a wink, before grabbing the bottom of Freya's shirt and pulling her back into a passionate kiss.
