Kyle walked around the outside of the mansion, kicking a rock as went. He was bored, so bored. He usually could find something to do, but not today.
He thought he might go into the city, find something to do there. Maybe he'd go to the beach. He was always happy when he was around water. But it was kind of cold to go there, so he forgot about it. Canada? Nah, it's even colder up there. Snowing probably... he thought grimly.
So, since he didn't feel like going anywhere, he was stuck roaming around the grounds like a bored idiot. He sighed. Where was Taylor when you need her? She was always interesting so there was no way he could be bored with her. But where could she be...? Could anyone else keep his attention the way she could? Probably not.

Taylor had been visiting her family for the past week and she had been more then ready to go back to the mansion. It’s not that she hated her family, well most of her family anyway, but the way her court worked she could have lived without it.
Although she had to admit that the reason she had wanted to get back so quickly was her boyfriend Kyle. With Kyle she didn’t have to worry about some ulterior motive about why he wanted to be around her, like she did back home.
Taylor stared out the window of the taxi that was taking to the institute when she saw that they were approaching the mansion. The taxi then came to a stop and Taylor opened the door and stepped out…
::sorry I haven’t been on in awhile I’ve been busy. ^.^::

Kyle had known that it was important that Taylor leave to go see her family. All that princess stuff that she had to attend to, but he really missed her. And he was sure that she wasn't all excited about seeing her family again. Being part of royalty was never fun, not even in the movies most of the time.
He finally made his way back around to the front of the mansion, and stopped dead cold when he saw the taxi. A huge smile spread across his face as he saw Taylor stepping out, and took off running toward her.
"Taylor!" he slid to a halt beisde her. As he caught his breath he winked, "Hiya."

Taylor was standing at the back of the Taxi waiting for the taxi driver to unload her things from the back when she heard a very familiar voice call out her name. She turned to face the direction the noise was coming from and saw Kyle.
Taylor let a small smile grace her face when she saw him running toward her. She then turned her attention back to the driver when he said something and handed her her bags. She had taken a back pack and a wheeled blue suit case.
After she got her bags she returned her attention to her boyfriend in time for him to reach her and say ‘Hiya.’ “Hello, Kyle.” She said and swung her backpack onto one of her shoulders. “What has been happening here?”

Kyle's smile grew when he saw her smile. It was rare to get her to show emotion, although he was getting better at it. He grabbed her backpack from her shoulders and swung it around his own. There was no way he was going to let her carry her own bags. He took the blue suitcase, too, with his other hand.
"Nothing really. It's been super boring without you," he admitted, flashing another smile toward her.

Taylor let him take the bags. If he wanted to carry her bags she wasn’t going to stop him. While the back pack wasn’t heavy the suitcases was and she hadn’t been looking forward to trying to get it up the stairs, this took care of that problem.
When he said that nothing was happened she had to wonder if that was because she wasn’t her and he was bored because of it or if nothing truly happened her. She suspected that it was probably the first one, she didn’t see how a building full of young mutants could ever be boring. Her suspensions were confirmed when he said it was boring without her.
“I see.” She then started walking toward the institute building…

He looked at her curiously as she began walking forward. "You see..." he leaned his head over so his face was level with hers. "Is that you're new slogan? 'I see...'" He was so used to "this is a fact" that it was strange that that wasn't the first thing that popped out of her mouth. He had to admit, he liked "this is a fact" better.
The only thing that bothered him about what she said, was that it sounded a little bit suspicious in her tone. He just decided to ignore it. He stood back up straight then as they walked with another smile, "So how was the family get-together? Fun?"

Taylor turned to face him. “It was not a fact. Therefore I said I see.” She then turned to face forward and continued making her up the path toward the mansion. Although to tell the truth her normal, as what other students here would call it, catch phrase hadn’t even entered her mind. Leave it to Kyle to know some things about her better then she knew them herself.
When he asked her how her trip was it was a kind of trick question to answer. She was in fact happy that see got some of her family, her parents especially, but other parts of her family she could have been happy if she never saw them again. Her grandmother was at the top of that list.
Finally she answered. “It was…what I expected.” She knew it wasn’t really an answer but at the moment she couldn’t describe it any better.

"Good," he was glad that she would keep saying this is a fact. He always loved that. Kyle watched her think as they walked. She was trying to figure out how to describe it, so he waited to see what she'd come up with. And what she came up with wasn't very clear. He sighed and thought a moment.
"Okay, let me translate that. You were glad to see your parents," he thought a moment. He knew she loved her parents, but also knew that she wasn't really that fond of some of her other family members. So he finally finished, "But you still despise some of the other relatives. Am I close?"

Taylor nodded. “That is fact.” She was glad he knew her well enough to know this about her. She paused for another second as they continued their way. “It would have been ‘fun’ if it wasn’t for a couple of my aunts and my grandmother.” Kyle knew that she wasn’t fond of her grandmother.
Deciding to change the subject she asked. Are you sure there was nothing I have missed while being away?”

A couple of aunts and her grandmother. He'd have to remember that for the next time she went off for a family meeting. Then he could pick on her grandmother teasingly and see if he could get a laugh out of her. He doubted it, but was never afraid to try.
Then the question came back again. "Just the usual. Few fights, blowing up stuff in the danger room, some arguements, boyfriend/girlfriend rumors... Same old, same old. Why are you so persistant on that? You weren't gone that long, Tay."

Taylor wasn’t really interested about the answer the second time she had asked it, it was more of getting the subject off her family and on too something they could both talk about since Kyle had never been to Vineland, and he never would for a while if she had anything she could do about it.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want him to go to Vineland, for Vineland was beautiful and an amazing place to visit. It was just that he knew her to well and that could be dangerous if that information got out. She wouldn’t put it past her grandmother having people placed in New York to spy on her. Though she knew that the professor would never allow them into the school.
So Taylor decided to think about it for a second before replying. “That is a fact.”

Since she was back into the silent and thoughtful mode, he decided not to bother her about it anymore. Obviously, she was still trying to get her family meeting out of her thoughts so she could get back to normal. He couldn't say he blamed her. His family was pretty much normal, other than his mutant abilities, so he didn't know what it was like to have royalty issues.
But what was sad to him was that it seemed that he knew Taylor better than her family did. He could be totally wrong about it, but that's how it sounded to him. And since she wasn't really going to answer his question, he just sighed.
"So, whatchya wanna do today? We should do something really insanely pointless, yet fun at the same time. What do you think?"

“First I think I should put my stuff away.” She said as she walked down the path. “Although that would be acceptable for afterward.” That was another thing she liked about coming back here, she could do things that had absolutely had no point what so ever except for to have fun. She would never be allowed to do those things in Vineland.
“What did you have in mind?” She knew that Kyle was better at coming up with these types things then she was. Though there was probably quite a few people who were better at planning those things then she was. She was also curious to see what he could come up with.

"Of course, of course," he nodded. There was no way he could get her to do anything else until all her stuff was back where they belong. He'd never argue with that. The second part was harder. What should they do...?
He thought a moment and tapped his chin. "I'm not sure, but there's always something pointless to do, isn't there? I mean, we're in New York. Even though you're all emotionless, I know there's some imagination in there. You can come up with something," he smirked at her.
