"Well, I can keep a secret Ms. Pride," The Night Crawler said, surprised that she'd confided in him. When she mentioned nightmares it made him shiver. He would often have reoccurring nightmares about when he almost killed the president of the united states. Shaking off the memory, he drew his attention back to Kitty.
"Well I'm pretty much nocturnal and...." Kurt said hesitating before speaking again. "If you want, I could watch you while you sleep and, if you seem to struggle, I could wake you up." At that moment the Night Crawler was really happy that Kitty couldn't see him. For he was blushing just at the notion.

*Kitty stood there, looking sullen because she had told Kurt her secret. But when he mentioned watching her in her sleep, she looked up to where his face would be and started laughing out loud. But she realized how late it was and how loud her laughs are, so she quieted down. Hopefully that outburst didn't make Kurt feel bad that his idea was stupid or funny for some reason.*
"Sorry Kurt. I didn't mean to laugh. But, it doesn't happen every night... I have an idea. How about, if I have a nightmare and am too scared to go back to sleep, like usual, I'll go hang out with you in your room for the rest of the night? How does that sound?"

One thing that he hated more then traveling, was getting jet lag when returning home. After his meeting with Kat, he went to his room and unpacked everything. When he was done he laid down on the bed to relax. Next thing he knew he was waking up and it was pitch black in his room. Great, I fell asleep he thought as he got out of bed.
As soon as he stood up, his stomache started grumbling. He forgot he came during the afternoon so he ended up sleeping through dinner. Maybe they got leftovers downstairs he thought to himself as he quietly made his way out of the room, down the hall, and down the creaking stairs. He was half tempted to coat them in ice so they wouldn't creak, but then he'd have to explain the giant puddle the next morning. He had just entered the doorway when he saw Kat and...someone partially hidden in the shadows.
"Um...hope I'm not interrupting anything."

*Kitty jumped when Bobby spoke, whirling around. For some reason, she was blushing, even though there wasn't really anything to blush about. She stood there for a few seconds, trying to figure out what to do. Kitty then smiled a sheepish smile and turned to Kurt.*
"Bobby, this is Kurt, the guy I was telling you about. Kurt, this is Bobby. He's one of my best friends."

Anya had been sleeping peacefully until she heard a loud laugh coming from the kitchen. She sighed and sat up, rubbing her eyes. This is what I get for having the room right near the kitchen, she thought. But, obviously someone was having fun. Anya could never resist anything fun, even in the middle of the night.
She ran a brush through her hair once, ignoring her powers kicking in as soon as she touched it, to get the obvious tangles out. Then she decided to find out what was so funny in the kitchen. She was actually kind of hungry, anyway.
Once she reached the kitchen, she saw Kurt, Kitty, and Bobby. "Hello," she said, smiling at them.
She'd seen them around but never actually officially met them. From overhearing their conversations sometimes and her powers that she couldn't fully control yet, she'd known a lot about them. Though she knew that they probably know nothing about her.

He smiled at Kat when she greeted him, but when she introduced him to Kurt, he had to look hard at where she was gesturing. He didn't see much, a little bit of blue, some clothing, and what looked like...a tail? He tried hard to think of why that looked so familiar, but then he remembered the incident on the island.
"Oh! Kurt! Hey how you been? Haven't seen you in a long time."
He kept quiet when he heard footsteps coming close. They were all about to be severely busted, but he had an excuse. All he had to say was he was suffering from jet-lag, which wouldn't be a lie, but what about the others. He turned and noticed another member of the mansion standing in the doorway, which thankfully wasn't an X-Man or a member of the faculty. He breathed a sigh when she smiled and said hello.
"Hi. I'm Bobby, but people call me iceman."

Anya smiled. "Yeah, I know who you are," she nodded toward all three of them. "I'm Anya."
She noticed the relief on his face and realized that they'd thought she was an X-man, coming to punish them all and smiled even brighter. "Sorry. I can see you must've thought I was somebody else. But I heard laughing so I had to come see."

Kitty blushed slightly, "That's my fault. I sometimes can't control my laughter..." She looked to Kurt, then Bobby, and back to Anya. Kitty could not remember the last time there were so many mansion members in the kitchen at night time. But, that was a different time, before the Brotherhood became a problem. Before Apocalypse and the other evil mutants. But she didn't want to think about that. Those things were part of her nightmares.
"Well, I'm all done. I'm, uh, gonna head back to bed." Here came the difficult part. She didn't want to go back upstairs to her room all alone, but who did she ask to come with her? She didn't know Anya... at all. Bobby is her best friend but that just seems awkward, especially how she feels about him. And she had asked Kurt to be with her on other nights when she had problems, but she didn't want Bobby thinking anything was up with them two, because... it wasn't. Kitty just stood there, looked at all three, trying to decide who to ask.

Anya sensed something was wrong. Her powers only worked with physical contact usually, but once in a while, just looking at something could set it off. And that's what was happening now as she looked at Kitty. She suddenly had a vision, so she closed her eyes, and saw Kitty having nightmares. The nightmares were unclear, which was normal since Anya hadn't touched her. She opened her eyes after a minute, and she understood Kitty's hesitation now.
"I guess I'll go, too," she looked at Kitty especially, hoping that she would get the message that Anya was telling her through her eyes. She stepped out into the hall and hoped to talk to Kitty more privately out there.
She only knew of her what she'd gathered from touching something that Kitty had touched before her. That didn't give her that much info, but she hoped Kitty would trust her, even if it were just for tonight.

"Nice to meet you Anya."
He smiled when she greeted herself, and couldn't help a small, inward laugh when she mentioned that everyone thought she was a member of the faculty. When Alex admitted it being her laughter, he looked to her and gave a half smile. He was about to offer to walk Kitty up to her room, deciding it would be a good moment to talk to her about earlier. Unfortunately Anya beat him to it, and he just shrugged it off. He'd find out what was going on with Kitty later then.

((Hehe, I love how certain threads can change their course and effect other threads later on in their life.))
*Kitty looked at Anya, kind of thankful she didn't have to choose between the two boys. Her eyes showed the thanks as she nodded toward her. Kitty turned to Kurt.*
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good night."
*She then turned to Bobby, not knowing exactly what to say. Why was it so weird to talk to him? They used to be the best of friends.*
"Good night Bobby..."
*Kitty turned and let Anya lead the way back.*

Anya smiled and nodded a goodnight to the boys and walked toward the direction of Kitty's room. Once they were outside she turned to her.
"I could see you were having trouble picking from the two boys, so I thought I'd step in. I had a feeling you didn't want to go back alone," she admitted.
She would have told Kitty that she'd known about the nightmares, but then she might accuse her of eavesdropping. Anya's power was still confusing even to herself, and she'd had it ever since she could remember. She could just say she would good at reading people, and even when she wasn't touching them, she was. So technically that was true, that's just not how it worked tonight.

*Kitty turned to Anya, about to accuse her of knowing what was going on somehow. But, how could she know? What was there to know, Kitty wondered to herself. She sighed, feeling defeated. But, at least there was another girl she could talk to about boys.*
"Thank you for stepping in. Yeah, I didn't want to go back to my room alone, but... I just can't pick between the two anymore. It used to be so easy when it was just one of them around."
*Kitty still liked Bobby, more than she should. But it was strange that she couldn't have just picked Kurt, her best friend. Was there something about him that was like Bobby? They were two very different people, but... No, she couldn't -like- him. That would be absured. He was just her best friend, wasn't he? Nothing more?*

Anya smiled at her. She could sense Kitty's suspicion but didn't show it. Then, when Kitty sighed, she felt more relaxed. She was always happy - or at least appeared that way - but no one ever liked being accused. And her abilities took too long to explain.
When Kitty told her about picking between the two boys, Anya nodded. "I know the feeling," She did know how Kitty felt, but not from the reason you'd think. Anya had never really had a boyfriend before that was more than just a movie and maybe dinner. Nothing more than that. She knew the feeling from the visions she'd seen from touching things. Things that other girls that were in Kitty's position had touched before her.
She could tell Kitty like Bobby more than she should since he was taken, but she couldn't really tell how much she liked Kurt. Maybe Kitty doesn't know how much she likes him, either... she thought. That would be what she would guess from the small visions she'd gotten from making eye contact with her.
