Maron turned into his arms, burying her face in his shirt, her arms curled up between them. Her whole body was trembling, and tears were streaming down her cheeks. Though she didn't say anything, she vigorously shook her head against him. Maron was very Independent, near never asking for assistance if she didn't have to. And even if she did trust Conner, she seemed just as reluctant to ask him for anything, as if afraid she'd be imposing on him...

*Conner just stroked her hair.* Do you want to go back now? *He felt like a big brother figure to a shy little sister who was always getting in trouble, but he liked it, because he never really knew his family very well.*

Another vigorous head shake, a very definite no. She got like this sometimes. Where she didn't want to be around anyone anymore because she thought she was to much of danger to them. How long it lasted varied. Sometimes it was only a few hours, in a few rare causes it'd lasted almost a month. But it was near impossible to convince her otherwise when she was like this. The only way being her realizing that the attacks were a hell of a lot more frequent when she wasn't with the Runaways.

*Conner still smiled.* Alright then do you want to go to my cave, or just around? *He wanted to do something for her, to make her feel better.*

A nod for the cave was her response. "Uh-huh...." At least there Conner knew the area well, which meant it would be extremely difficult to sneak up on them. Not only that, it was extremely difficult to get to in the first place.

*Conner smiled when she nodded.* Then off to my cave. *Maron was the third person/girl to be at Conner's cave other than him. He felt that the cave was a good idea, not only because it was dificult to get to, but there were wild animals that Conner felt comfotable with warding them off, and they knew better to be in the cave by now. If they go in his cave and he finds them in there they get taught a lesson, the hard way. Conner then picked Maron up and sat her on his bike, he then sat behind her and started off for his cave.*

Maron didn't go to the cave that often. Actually, she'd only been there once before, and only because she'd asked Conner to take her there so she could see what the place was like. She curled up against him when he started his bike, his arms over her shoulders to reach the handles. Slowly she closed her eyes again, this time not of fear though. She was mentally and physically exhausted from the events today.

*Conner drove to Alaska, where the cave was. He got to the mountain and started to head up. Once the road stoped he hid his bike and carried Maron up to the cave where he layed her down on his sleeping bag. He quickly started a fire gave a yawn. He to was tired from the days events. But first he called Wickeds cell and left a message telling her what had happend and where he and Maron were.*

Maron had fallen asleep during the drive, which probably made things rather easy for Conner. She stirred only slightly when he picked her up, not waking. Upon him laying her down on the sleeping bag she just curled up on her side, falling into an even deeper sleep. Unless something happened there was little chance of her waking up before morning...

*Conner eventualy found a comfortable spot on the ground and started to doze.* I really need to bring another sleeping bag up here. *He then started to slightly blush when he thought of him and nelly squeezed in the same sleeping bag. Eventualy he fell asleep. He usualy didn't sleep infront of people while at the cave but if just happend.*

No harm came to them that night. Maron slept through the entire thing, not even waking from her nightmares... which wouldn't have surprised anyone. Though during the night she went from being on top of the sleeping bag to, who knew how, in the sleeping bag but curled up at the very bottom. How it happened was a complete mystery. But when she finally woke around nine in the morning she wiggled her way to the top of the sleeping bag, rolling out of it. She just about yelped, and lunged back into the sleeping back, not expecting the cold. Silently she muttered to herself. "Nope... Not coming out..."

*Conner was on the ground asleep, with his black leather jacked zipped up, his black gloves on and his jeans down to his ancles. He also still had his shoes on. He looked peaceful in his sleep, and non worried. Finaly he woke up to see a shivering sleeping bag. He then got up and started the fire again. Puting the shield around the cave door to keep most the wampth in.* It'll get warm in no time.

Maron shook her whole body as if it was her head inside the sleeping bag, since he wouldn't have seen just her head move. She grumbled something inaudible, though it could have been something to do with cursing the cold. After a second she spoke up. "I'm still not coming out. No way. The air may warm up but it'll take a while for the cave floor!" Her voice was rather muffled by the sleeping bag, so she had to raise it a little more so he would hear. For once though she seemed to finally be acting her age, a normal fourteen year old.

*Conner watched and laughed at what she did and said.* Alright, have it your way. *He then put more wood on the fire so that it would get warmer faster.*

Maron scowled to herself, since obviously he wouldn't see it with her in hiding. Suddenly her stomach growled. Not to loud, but loud enough for her to hear... and maybe loud enough for Conner to hear... "I'm hungry..."
