Rose sighed, wandering into the empty classroom, hands clasped behind her back. She paused at the window, silently staring out it for a few moments before turning to gaze steadily at him.
"Only partially. Sky has a soft spot, but if she were asked to do something... We both know she would. She's not willing to disobey our parents or the Elders like we are."
She paused for a moment, letting out a sigh.
"I only worry because this is Shadow. There's a reason she's going to be the next head of the family..."
Suddenly she looked frustrated, turning back to stare out the window.
"If that wasn't enough their so much older then us. They're both strong... They've refined, and polished their powers. They can go hours with out getting tired... And look at us. We may have one good outburst, and then what? What are we supposed to do? I have spent almost every waking moment trying to get past my limits, and what do I have to show for it? I'm not getting any stronger!"
No longer looking frustrated, she looked upset, like she was going to cry. She didn't understand why, but she couldn't get past the physical limits of her body, limits that someone their age couldn't pass. But if they didn't pass them, how would they ever stand a chance if their sisters came for them?
Rose just about jumped out of her skin when she heard Rika, having not seen her coming. Just out of pure reflect a force field leaped into existence around her, Rose physically giving a flinch, as if expecting to be attacked. When she realized who it was though, she blinked away her almost tears, lowering her barrier.
"Oh Rika. This is Parker.... Parker, that's Rika."

Parker listened to Rose, his serious face back. Yes, he knew Shadow very well. She was his own sister, for crying out loud. And Rose was right about their powers. But Parker, as usual, would think of something...he was sure about that.
Soon, Parker knew Rika was coming their way and he turned towards her before she entered. He felt Rose's surprise at her arrival, but his face was expressionless. When Rose introduced them, he nodded at her.

Rika jumped when Rose released her power, but Ryu stood his ground and slowly went in front of her, in case something happened. But she soon relaxed when Rose stopped, but Ryu still stood in front of her.
Sorry, Rose. Um...so, this is Parker? Is he your cousin or something? When he nodded at her, Rika did her customary quick bow. Nice to meet you. I'm Rika Morfitz and this is Ryu. Ryu slightly nodded, but he didn't relax his pose of protection in front of Rika.

Thought I heard a familiar voice.
::he was walking down the halls of the corridor, hearing rumors that Rose had come back to the mansion. He was glad to hear that, especially since that ment she was in a safe place and not where Shadow could reach her. When he heard her speaking about shadow, then introducing two people he hadn't met, he smiled and headed into the door of the classroom. He didn't walk in entirely, just leaned sideways against the door, crossing his legs and his arms and giving his usual half smile::
'bout time you showed up. I was beginning to wonder.

Rose just shrugged. "Yeah... Cousin..." She paused, unsure of what to say. She barely even knew this Rika person, only by name really. Which only made her more curious as to why Rika would even talk to Rose in the first place. Of course, the absolute moment she heard the familiar, and rather comforting voice that belonged to Ian her spirit seemed to sky rocket and she flipped around quickly and launched herself across the distance between herself and Ian to hug him... And if he didn't catch himself knock him over. Though she was extremely happy, she suddenly scowled.
"What do you mean it's about time? I've been back a while! Just been laying low..."
It was true. She near never left her room, and when she did it was only to talk to a teacher about something, or to go do some Danger Room sessions.

::in all honesty, he had missed Rose dearly. So when she practically launched herself at him, he couldn't help the laugh as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. It was a big difference then seeing her almost lifeless in the bed at Aaron's house. He had missed her so much, that when she scowled and talked about being there the whole time, he leaned in and gave her a small kiss on the lips. After a bit, he broke it and smiled::
I'm just glad you're safe Rose. I've missed you.

Parker sensed Ian when he eavesdropped on the conversation and he turned around. He sensed Ian's feelings and Rose's when they saw each other and Parker couldn't help smiling at this reunion. But when Ian kissed Rose, his eyes widened in surprise and scowled a little that a complete stranger was kissing his beloved cousin. Parker suddenly controlled Ian's mind and had him back away a foot.
"Rose, aren't you going to introduce Ian? I think that's the polite thing to do." Parker's scowl vanished, leaving his face expressionless. Parker suddenly felt protective of Rose, even if he knew this Ian from reading his mind. Rose was like his little sister and she had been hunted down by his real sister, Shadow.

The word shock didn't explain the look on Rose's face very well. If anything it wasn't a 'strong' enough word for it. Her eyes went wide and her mouth almost hung open, though she made sure to stop that. Then, after the initial shock, her face suddenly flushed a soft pink, as if embarrassment had finally caught up with her, before she grinned.
"I wouldn't call it safe, even here."
She paused, suddenly blinking when she noticed Ian's sudden motion, which was obviously Parker's work. She flipped around, planting her hands on her hips, sticking one out to the side, and matching his scowl with her own that was near identical.
"Now you get out of his head, Parker. Don't you dare make me stop you myself, and you know I will."
She paused again, her scowl slowly fading away.
"Though it's rather pointless introducing him after you've dug around in his head. Parker, I'd like you to meet Ian. Ian, this is Parker. My cousin..." She paused temporarily, as if hesitate to say the next part, but she knew Ian had to know. "Shadow's younger brother..."

::he felt a little weird before finding himself stepping away from Rose. Why he did, he wasn't sure until Rose turned around and scolded the boy across the room. He shook his head as if getting out of a daze, then looked to where Rose was introducing her cousin. When she mentioned him being Shadow's younger brother, he had his own moment of being stunned. How many members of the Nightshad family were there::
Shadow's younger brother huh? Yeah, know her definetly.
::he smiled at Parker and gave a small two fingered salute in his direction. He walked into the room and looked around a bit, smiling and giving Rika a nod, then looking to Parker, and finally to Rose. He smiled and winked at her, before a look of seriousness came onto him. He was glad to see Rose, but he couldn't help feeling concerned for Aaron and Ian::
So where are the other two? Did they make it?

"Sorry, Rose. Habit, I suppose. I apologize." But his expression didn't change when he said this. He felt that if a guy was to kiss a girl, he must be serious about her. And besides, their age difference bugged him. Not to mention he saw another girl in this guy's mind. Parker shifted his backpack on his back.
When Ian mentioned two other guys, two pictures popped up. One of them was unfamiliar, but the other one Parker knew very well. Blackbriar! He then turned to Rose, angry. "Why did you go with Blackbriar?! He could've killed you! He could've been acting on Shadow's orders!" He couldn't believe Rose, out of all people, would fall for Blackbriar's tricks! Parker then turned to Ian. "You should have killed him when you had the chance...why didn't you take it? Isn't it your job to "protect" Rose?"

Rika had no idea what was going on, when this stranger kissed Rose. She gave up trying to figure it out and felt like she was intruding on a private conversation. Ryu looked up at her with a confused expression. Rika walked out quietly, with Ryu following close behind her.

"Yeah. Though they never got along, so don't go thinking he's like her. Actually, Shadow has probably admitted to wanting to kill Parker, though the Elders always stopped her...."
Rose paused, only explaining this really to Ian, since Parker obviously already knew this, especially from all the attempts on his life Shadow had tried. She paused when she heard Parker's own reaction, almost flinching before her own fury flared in response to his.
"You really think I'm that stupid?! Do you think my sister is that stupid?! Do you even remember who taught you how to control your power?! And for your information I'd be dead if it wasn't for Black! D-E-A-D! But I'm sure you'd like that, wouldn't you? Because then you wouldn't have to always be worrying about me! Or family always comparing us! Maybe I should have died! Then I wouldn't still be living in your shadow anymore! Even here I've been in your shadow, always having to study harder or work harder because everything came so naturally to you, and because you got so much attention because Shadow was your sister and because you were born only a few hours before me!"
Obviously she had strayed in her yelling, but it must have been all the emotions that had been bottled up for so many years.

::he looked at Parker as he began getting on Rose and his case because of Blackbriar. He turned and was about to say something when Rose just suddenly blew up. He nearly jumped back when she exploded, expecting a few barrages of orbs to start popping everywhere. He remembered what happened in the room at Aaron's house and how everything just began blowing up. He walked up to Rose and placed a hand on her shoulder, squeezing gently::
Rose, calm down ok? You know what happens when you get angry. Heck I know what happens when you get angry.
::he didn't need to explain anything to Parker, but had a feeling that the boy was knowing more about him anyway. If Parker wanted to know about how Ian was at protecting Rose, he'd show him. He brought up thoughts about his events with Rose. How he helped save her from almost being crushed at the bottom of the lake, how he stood by her side, even when the force feild orbs blew up around him. Everything from when he planned to infiltrate the Nightmare's base to get her, to almost busting down Aaron's door to see her, then to where he finally found her here at the mansion::
Yes I'm suppose to be the one protecting her, and I'll die before anything happens to her.
::he took a few steps forward past her, pointing to Parker with a stern look in his eyes::
And if I have to fight every one of your family to get to make sure she's safe, then you can bet your powers that I will.

Parker just stared at Rose when she finally let all of her feelings out. He knew about them for years, so it was no surprise.
"It's about time you let that out. I was wondering when you were going to tell me." He then turned away and went to a window, completely unaffected by Rose's outburst. Parker looked down at his hand as he quickly read some things he obviously missed. "I didn't realize that Sky ordered Blackbriar to do that. I didn't think she was capable. She really loves you that much, huh?" He had never looked into Sky's mind...it was too dangerous to try.
Parker then looked at Ian, calculating. Ian purposefully thought of all the events that had happened with Rose's abduction, in order to show him he was capable. "I knew that you were capable, Snyder. No need to show me. I've been through worse." He then turned to Rose, his face softening. "I'm sorry for the things that have happened in our past. And you know that I would never want you dead. We're in this together, remember? We both betrayed our family to do the right thing. And I'm not going anywhere...I need to keep my promise."

Rose did her absolute best to not let her power go out of control, having to put all of her concentration on keeping it at bay while trying to calm down. She knew she wouldn't be able to keep things at bay, as if like a dam and a river. You wouldn't be able to hold the river back if the dam suddenly vanished...
"Sky and I aren't like you and Shadow."
Perhaps it was only because Sky and Rose were closer in age then Shadow and Parker. Her voice still held plenty of anger, almost gritting her teeth. Rose, who was usually calm or cheerful, had one of the worst tempers around, if only because she would hold it back, and keep holding it until she would explode. It was almost like throwing a tantrum. She just turned her gaze away when Parker spoke again, his eyes on her. She squeezed her own shut, refocusing on holding back another wave of anger that would cause her power to go out of control.
